Ocean,
Thanks for the info.
I have wondered why Florida kept releasing so much info. and Oklahoma so little.
I wish Oklahoma had to do what Florida is required to do.........................

Flossie

That would be great! Good people of Oklahoma get busy and demand it!

It would certainly let the taxpayers of Okla. know If LE were doing their jobs, and not just laying back and drawing a paycheck..
stop some of that 'back' scratching, too.

It would definitely open some eyes and ears, and help solve some crimes, as well as Cold cases...imo :camera:

Hi there Flossie, great to "see" you.

I love Florida's judicial system. Ever wonder why we see so many cases coming out of Florida on IS (Tru-TV)? That is because the Judge must let the public see an ongoing trial and cannot block camera access unless he/she can come up with a very good reason to do so (which I have never heard of such a case). That is why we see the most heinous of cases coming out of Florida like Couey's and Joe Smith's. They hide no trial behind closed doors. Imo, we will see Casey Anthony's case too and it will be aired on IS.

It actually turns out to be both harmful to the defendants but helpful as well since the defense attorney is given full discovery much earlier.

I sure wish more states would follow their lead but in the Anthony case they had a suspect or POI almost instantly and I don't think they do in this case. So until then OK cant release certain information on anyone they may have interviewed knowing they dont have evidence in hand that shows they are a POI or suspect.

I just pray for a break and that someday "loose lips will sink ships" and when that person or persons talk it will line up with the evidence they have that they cant link now or tie down.

imoo

As usual, I could not have said it better. I keep thinking surely, something new will happen w/ this case and yet, it seems as if nothing is moving forward. I hope I am wrong. Good to see you on the thread again. Hope all is well w/ you~

Take Care~

Thank you, GS, for posting the story of the Weleetka group going to the girls memorial site.

I also want to thank everyone who took the time and money to visit Taylor and Skyla's memorial site. I'm sure it must have been heart breaking.

Hi, Little! Yes, many thanks to GS.

I was one of those fortunate to make this journey. Unlike many of the members, I'm not far from the site so I didn't have to make the same sacrifices to attend.

Many thanks are also extended to Weleetka local members who were very gracious and set up some wonderful "bonuses" to our trip. Once everyone has returned home and we have a chance to discuss details - I'm sure we will be sharing more about this awesome day. It was extremely emotional, enlightening, heartwarming - there just aren't enough adjectives.

Should any of you wish to email a thank you to the individuals responsible for the news story - just select Jerry Giordano and Yvonne Harris on the link below. They treated us and our girls' story with such respect and care.

NEW YORK (CNN) -- Two young girls, best friends, were found shot to death five months ago on the side of a dirt road not far from their homes in the small rural town of Weleetka, Oklahoma.
Taylor Paschal-Placker, 13, left, and Skyla Jade Whittaker, 11, were shot with two weapons, police say.
Police in Weleetka say there hasn't been a murder in town in more than 20 years. A double homicide involving two children is beyond anything Weleetka's 1,084 residents have experienced.

That's how rumors get started, nowhere has it been reported her body has been recovered. They will pull many things from that river, many.

Oh, I know...what a hoax....Fox jumped that story way to soon. I was hoping, it was all true..Media...you can't beleive them all the time.

Yes, it was reported first the body, then it changed to fingers..and toes....I was watching Fox news when the story broke...News Flash...

LOL...GiGi, I think you are right. Just an ole pair of shoes and some toys. Weighted down with bricks, I wouldn't fight the alligators for that trash bag!!

I am a scuba diver. When I saw the pics of the divers and the river they were diving in,.....................I thought NO WAY would I dive in that environment!! The water was so full of silt, I read that they were searching by touch, could not even see through their masks. Yuck. Give me an ocean any day, a dirty river full of alligators, no way..................jmo

Rufloss, I dive too. But Hill no in that water. And with Gators! I think they should have made CA dive in the water. Yep. That would have been good.

AnnFan, it did look like McDonalds toys in the dirty bag they found didn't it.
