SM as a potential focus of the investigation

This is all so sad. I will say the first time I looked at SM's FB I got a feeling of resentment toward Kyron. Nothing in particular, just the overall tone. That's what originally made me suspect her. I'm also going to go out on a limb and say I think they already found his body.

are we allowed to discuss her FB now?

I think it's even worse than SS. From what I know about SS, didn't she become enraged because of being spurned by a guy? And then I think she drove around and decided on the drive to do what she did to her kids, then made up the carjacking story after the fact.

I think Terri planned this for weeks before it actually happened. Think about it. She knew the science fair was coming and would be a chaotic environment. She knew she could assert plausible deniability--"I never told the teacher he had an appointment today...I told her next week!" She knew that stranger abduction would be tossed around.

And she knew that Kyron's own uncle had a trial coming up for child molestation.

She planned this to the hilt.

I will be truly horrified if that turns out to be the case. I know it happens, and I'm pretty cynical by nature, but I just can't wrap my mind around that yet. I guess time will tell.

Repeating myself, but, yes, I think LE would probably like her to turn herself in so that they don't have to arrest her.

I have wondered why she hasn't confessed since I am sure LE has been all over her but she has that beautiful baby and I am sure she knows that if she confesses she will never be with her again.
That is what I don't understand. She is a very intelligent person. I believe she has a Masters degree. She had to know that she would eventually get caught and it would cost her everything. I am not that educated but the knowledge of the consequences keep me from even jaywalking. I just don't understand who she thought she could get away with this, if she did it. Maybe if she left her cell phone home? Would it have been the perfect crime? I think she had been thinking of doing this for a while and was probably getting down to the wire with school ending. She probably figured out that if she could place him in the school as the last time he was seen then she could blame the school. I don't know. My head (and heart) hurts.

Definitely planned...very elaborately planned, IMO. Don't have time to go into the reasons why I think so right now, but I strongly feel it's premeditated. I'm sure though, if it's her, and IF there is ever a confession, she will make it seem like an accident gone wrong. *insert eye roll*

That poor boy! What I don't understand is why not just let him go with his mother?

Exactly! So tragic. Now a Mom is going to be without her son, and a daughter is going to be without her Mom.

I'm not an expert but I think it's a little late for PPD. Not that it wouldn't be tried for some kind of defense.
The other red flag to me was the talent show. I just couldn't see an involved parent that went to a science fair skipping the talent show. And it would have been the perfect opportunity to pick up the science fair project. The picture they showed of the classroom the following Monday looked like all the projects had been picked up except his.

PPD begins usually with in the first 4 weeks and always starts within 6 months of delivery.

I feel that they will not comment on SM has POI yet....If question are allow someone going to ask where SM is and if they say "NO COMMENT" or that SM is at seclude location. We all know where that statement will lead us.

I think she was very angry at the mom. I think, if she did this, this was a way of never having to deal with her again.

I think, as numerous other posters have alluded, that this was not a spur of the moment thing. I think it was planned. And the idea of trying to pull it off in the midst of the school science fair was a major part of the plan. The chaos, lots of people milling about, the fact that the school day started earlier than usual, these were all pieces of the puzzle that the perp was counting on.

I can't wrap my mind around the idea that she planned this. Not that I am saying I don't believe that she could have planned it, only that it is even more horrific than if it was an a moment of passion (the bad kind of passion: anger) or a complete accident.

But, knowing that she lied (it seems clear now that she did), assuming she has not confessed, or hasn't until very recently, this would point to a person lacking in many of the qualities that make up a decent and empathetic human being.

How did she plan to live any kind of normal existence after this? Interacting with her husband, Kyron's blood parent, their daughter, Kyron's mother, her own mother, her teen-aged son, her friends, everyone she would come in contact with?

No care for the future because there is something missing in her make-up.

This is all opinion and I realize that Terri has not been publicly charged in the crime against Kyron.

She also claimed to be a "reading specialist," but her license only showed "Basic Teaching," and blatantly said that she could not claim specialty on it.
