H: then sealed bag containing 2 boxes and the swab and the 6 seals

H inside bag two long ear buds to take swab also sealed

H: each box has a seal number printed on the left side you needn't place it on the box

H: distilled water also included in this sealed bag containing the boxes

G: show us how you seal a box on the sides and not the middle and then try and remove the swab from the box with only 2 seals

Inside box there is a long "cotton bud" that is used to collect the sample

H places the bud inside the box and he starts to stick the seals on the side of the box only (this was done on one sample)

H tries to remove the bud and it tears the seal on one side of the box

H takes a swab out of its sealed box & shows the court. Judge says its looks like a big cotton bud.

G asks him to try and open the sealed evidence bag

H finds it difficult to open the evidence bag once sealed the blue sticky strip becomes damaged and bag reflects its been tampered

Either H has smartened up his act overnight, or Botha's tactics are being shown up as nothing but a load of smoke.

G: in cross examination defense seemed to imply tampering of the scene before the photos were taken

B: still takes issue with the evidence of the kit being presented in court without B seeing it first

B: question I asked witness about the scene pertains to the knife specifically and relates to Joubert specifically
 
This is good news. Once sealed, the strip becomes damaged and it will be apparent if someone has tried or did open it.

As my grandfather would have said, "Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Botha".

There is a video wth very graphic images of deceased,close ups,the crime scene which is why Botha is saying we should not view it.

Botha suggests the family members should not watch & the video should not be allowed to make public for press, etc. judge agrees.

This is ridiculous. The court could take a brief adjournment and the images and videos could be shown to Desai in chambers.

Moving deeper into house, blood splatter present on floors and lower walls.

This is the entry passageway of the house. Now we turn towards the stairs leading up to 2nd floor.

But we turn towards the rest of the bottom floor. What seems to be Martins office, leather chairs, big desk. Papers still on desk.

We are observing the kitchen now. Dining table has a game of monopoly on it (unopened). Handbag next to the game.

Dining room table also has Mac book on it, a place where someone who work as papers are laid out next to it.

The lounge sofa where someone would watch tv from, still has pillow and blanket on it.

A maroon watch lies in front of lounge sofa as well as portable hard drive.

Big screen tv in place. Standing on smart tv stand. DSTV decoder, DVD player.

This is the TV set Henri said they were watching Star Trek 2 on.

Now we move back to the kitchen. Packet of cigarettes lie torn open on kitchen counter. 2 burnt out cigs lie on floor.

3 Cigs not killed, they seem to have been dropped on tiled floor.

Kitchen drawer is ajar. This is where the knife used in the attack came from.

Half bottle of wine still stands on kitchen counter.

We turn towards the pantry. Small blood mark on door towards pantry.

Pantry is shelved. Organized.

Going out the back door. Wood is stacked for days outside. Small golf cart. Laundry line with clothes still on it. Trash bag.
 
Those burnt out cigarettes show nothing but contempt and sense of power.

Now we are at the back of the house. Pool, trees in pots, very neat.

Another passage on the other side of house. Windows don't have any burglar bars, they stand open.

Small blood stain on outside wall,passage way,near the black gate which the defense team said the attacker could have jumped over.

We are taking a break from court. 15 minutes and then the video continues.
