One more thing that tells me DP knows Stacy is dead is the fact that he hasn't filed for divorce.

He protects his money and property too much to let Stacy pop up one day and take it all from under him.

Being the chauvenistic pig that he is, he wouldn't let his wife be gone all this time with another man and not find them and kill them or divorce her to make sure she had no legal right to anything he owned.

As it stands, she can still get credit in his name, have access to any joint accounts and she is still equally entitled to custody of the kids. All 4 of them and their trust account. She could clean him out and with all this spotlight on him, he couldn't do a thing to her.

DP wouldn't take the chance of that happening if he really thought she was alive.

Seems they have a MOST DEFINITE lead! Wonder if that's why DP has been looking so glum of late!

Does anyone remember exactly when it was that DP went from loving the attention to all of a sudden angry and staying inside?

One day he was outside with a video camera filming the media, and then the next day he just stopped - suddenly didn't want to clown around with the media anymore. I seem to think that may have coincided with the news about Thomas Morphey, but I'm not sure.

I wish I could pinpoint it because I think it might tell us what news it was that got DP upset. It tells me that LE is on the right track now and DP is nervous.

I think it was the news about Tom. He wouldn't answers reporters questions about him and when Drew did, he was very subdued.

I'm glad they are reopening it. Even if he didn't have anything to do with it, they still might resolve it one way or another this time.

I can't imagine the burden these families are carrying every single day. I hope our prayers are working.

could be....maybe since Stacy's mama has been brought up so much recently, LE was getting some heat about her case not being solved???...i just don't know..

It does certainly seem to be a coincidence they would reopen it now, doesn't it? However, she said that her mother did not know Drew.

The other case where the cop killed his pregnant girlfriend? He finally confessed and they found her grave?

I don't think this DP character is going to have a guilt attack and confess but I do think there's a similarity with this case.

IF I remember right, 20 miles out was where they found her grave.
Out of the search area ... no one would have ever found her.

The waterway seems too "easy" and wouldn't be logical simply because of all the waterway discoveries in so many cases. IMO

Plus, didn't someone say he sounded out of breath on the phone?

That would also explain his comment about losing weight.

I think he's been giving out little clues all along.

I was reading over at the www.findstacypeterson.com site and Cass had posted about something that happened last winter, they were out shopping and Stacy wanted to put some money in a bell ringers bucket, but since DrewP did not allow her to carry cash she couldn't do it, she was able to go buy a hot cocoa for the bell ringer tho so she did that.
Hearing things like this just infuriates me. Any money she spent would have been looked at if she used a debit card or credit card, and with him being that controlling then IMO there is no way Stacy would have ever had access to getting her hands on 25,000. like DrewP says she took.
I just cant imagine now being allowed to carry even 1 dollar!

Many do, especially when they don't have money, they have children and the man tells them they will not be able to keep them. Because if they ever try to leave them they will kill them and make it look like an accident.
Stacy was planning on getting away from DrewP, she was trying to get her nursing licence so she could provide for her children, only she didn't get away from him quick enough. From what happened with Kathleen, even getting a divorce would not have saved Stacy, DrewP would not have allowed her to get child support and a divorce settlement IMO. Many women are trapped with no way out, they are mentally broken down. I don't doubt DrewP went over every receipt and questioned anything that didn't look right to him.
I wait every day to hear he's been arrested, what is taking so long? If there is any "silver lining" to this whole mess, it will be that some other women/young girls out there will be made more aware of abusive controling men and get away from them before it is to late.

It does seem crazy, but we have to remember how young she was. At 23, she had two young children of her own, plus she had adopted DP's children from Kathleen. Plus, she was married to a police officer. In the best of circumstances, it would take a lot of strength to extricate herself from this marriage. From what I have read, she was pretty mature for her age, she had realized that she had made a huge mistake and was taking the steps to get out of the situation. Unfortunately, someone seemed determine to stop her from freeing herself; it's incredibly sad.
