ok,the money people donate goes via paypal into the designated account. i think chris was saying once the trial is over and if there are any unused funds, the family are going to put it into the fund he has/is starting that supports donating books/textbooks to underprivileged kids. that what i made from DrD last night

I just said "who knows if he is BS'ing", not "I think" he is BS'ing.

Anyways, if you read back in the thread, the reason this even came up was because of CH being on Dr. Drew, and some people don't like him.

Just because someone does all this good for other people, does not mean they have a hidden agenda.

After all, we are entitled to our opinion. :seeya:

I agree with you. Some people are altruistic or at least appear that way. Time will tell. Good Morning to ya!

I'm not sure if these are just rumours or what but according to the facebook page:

Dr. Geffner is a neuropsychologist and the def. want him to rebut Dr. Horn's testimony about the head wound. He will also rebut Dr. DeMarte's testimony about PTSD.

* There is a hearing Tues morning regarding a State motion [filed today]. I don't know if cameras will be rolling.

I found WS because of this Arias trial. Since the lull waiting for closing arguments and deliberations to begin, I've surfed through other areas of the WS site.

I highly recommend it. Some very interesting stuff sleuthed regarding other cases.

I swore I would never ever watch NG after the 'TOT MOM' trial. She drove me nuts, but she is getting guests on that are TA friends and that are supplying insight into crazy JA.

But she won't let then speak long enough to complete their thoughts. No offense to Beth, I love her like Jodi loves mirrors but she will always be available to talk about what happened at court. We want to hear what those close to Travis think and in full complete sentences.

Forget Liz in her earpiece. Liz can wait. These special guests cannot.

I love this place. :)

In case this hasn't been posted yet, the state's got a new supplemental witness list filed (no. 17)

I listened to Chris Hughes on Dr. Drew. At the end, he spoke of the Travis Alexander Fund. He stated that the money was going to the family, AND if there was any money left over, it would go to this fund.

Why wouldn't the family get all the money as this was the intent of donors, like me??? WTH

That caught my attention, too. I believe he said he was creating a non-profit Foundation in Travis's name honoring his love of books and his dedication to helping inner city kids. Donations go directly to the Travis Alexander Fund (the family) and anything left over would go to the Foundation. Just speculating here, but wouldn't Hughes be paid a salary for his services? And how would the funds be allocated? Enquiring minds would like to know.

His fund will get anything left over from what was donated to the Alexanders. The money donated goes directly to them, unless there is some unused once it's all said and done.

See my post above. :)

I had used the link to donate that was the Travis Alexander Legacy Fund as it stated that the fund would be for the Alexander's. Then I saw where there was another link that the donations went directly to the Family. So I emailed Chris Hughes to inquire if the money actually went to the Alexander's. I finally received 2 emails from him although they were signed Samantha from his personal website/email: Raising You Foundation. It is my hope the family received my donation as it was a lot of money, at least for me.

Good morning all :seeya:

I was wondering if anyone had a link to DD last night with Chris Hughes? I was watching it, paused, and came back and my stupid DVR was recording 2 shows (one of which I had to watch - and it WASN'T DD) and I missed it. Booooo!

Thanks.

Here is a bigger snip than what is on the Dr Drew website, courtesy of The TawniDilly.

I understand your feelings. I think it would be nearly impossible to refund money as they don't really know who it should go back to. You could probably let him know your feelings in an email.

This is my favorite PPL video, Chris Hughes Six-Figure Ring Speech. It is like an Academy Award mini-me. I posted this a week or so ago..but these threads move so fast so posting again in case new peeps have not seen it and are interested in PPL.

A neuropsychologist refuting a medical doctor??? Refuting a MEDICAL EXAMINER???? Seriously?? ROFLMAO!

Do you suppose it's possible the defense team thinks Dr. Geffner is a neurologist, and not a neuropsychologist?? Psychologists aren't exactly specialists in acute head trauma, lol! You don't see neurospychologists in the trauma bay of the ED! Please tell me Dr. Geffner isn't going to testify that someone with an intracranial GSW to the head would be able to chase Jodi down! I don't care if it was a "only" a 25 caliber-- it was an intracranial GUNSHOT wound. You just don't get up from those.

Just posting to say I hope all goes well in Chambers today!! It's going to be a crazy rest of the week so I hope everyone continues throwing positive energy out there for Juan and TA's family!!!

I had good intentions during the long weekend break from the JA trial to accomplish some spring cleaning projects. Then, a young Michigan mother went missing from her job at a gas station last Friday night, and I've become engrossed in the case that has a thread on the Missing Persons board here at WS. I haven't forgotten about the fast-approaching conclusion of the Jodi Arias trial, and I hope for a guilty verdict by the end of Friday. :please:
