Does anyone know who the 4th person at the defense table is?

The one on the left of Jason?

The therapist testified that Michelle told her there was no physical abuse.

There has been no testimony that there was physical violence in the household.

Michelle didn't die from emotional abuse, she died from physical violence.

MY's mom already testified to the loud arguments between MY and JY. In an abusive relationship, an argument is only a second or two away from becoming violent.

I'm a little behind here, but just wanted to say on one side, I agree, his' peeing on the floor isn't a sign he would murder his wife. But it is a testament to his unpredictable behavior, of what one would expect of an adult man. Which in part goes back to, you wouldn't think he'd kill his wife, but, he was known for his unpredictable and inappropriate acts.

To be honest, I think trying to figure out what one is capable and not capable of is a lost cause. It's possible for a human to not show any outward signs of behavior that would lead to killing someone, in fact it's happened before. Then what's left is what the facts say.

The facts say there is evidence that either show JY to be a murderer or simply one of the most unluckiest people in the world that night. The irony is if he is the murderer, there are a number of things that he had to be incredibly lucky on to not get caught right away.

I would imagine it would get quite interesting......

I was a G at first, reading about the case in People Mag, and the headlines reading."Blood found in Husband's SUV", then I read an article at N&O, saying
"Husband"s Car found at Airport", lol, and then when I found out they were wrong, I decided to just hold out for awhile, and 5+years later, I am a NG and have my own list as to why.

You made a post a while back about where they did and didn't have video, and that was a good one. If only some other video camera had directly caught JY in a way that confirmed his alibi or confirmed the prosecution's theory that he was traveling back to NC that night, none of us would be posting b/c there'd be no trial. It is really too bad that didn't happen, for everyone's sake. No matter what the jury decides, there will be many who think the decision is wrong; that unfortunately is the nature of dealing with imperfect knowledge.

Anything is possible. Not to mention MY (who told the therapist she was verbally abused).

I am a nurse and in my profession we don't second guess claims of abuse. Michelle is now dead so we cannot talk to her... but what her therapist says... that is like a voice for Michelle.

As for putting all abusers into a neat cut and dry category I feel that is impossible to do... While it may help identify who is at risk and study patterns I do not believe it is an absolute.

imhoo.

Perhaps a nit, but I don't think Kimball Sargent testified that MY said she was verbally abused. I think Sargent deduced this herself from information she heard during their session. MY (as is often the case with abuse victims) may not have recognized how abused she was. She went there to seek counseling to "fix herself" and get her life back on track. The "fix herself" comment is classic abuse victim-speak....it has been drilled into their minds that they are the problem. That's why marital counseling is not indicated. Sharing the blame between the abuser and victim doesn't fix the abuser's problem.

This is very good evidence. Very good work by SBI and FBI. This really is hard evidence to refute unless you claim your wife gave these shoes away.

Josh and Julie Dalton were friends staying at the hotel, with Gen and Jason.

He will be testifying.

I am not going to spoil anything for anyone.
:)

I'll have an ear open. The defense case is no mere formality.

I agree, this would have been over the first weekend.
Glad you liked ONE of my posts !!

I thought it was testified that he was drunk? How many incidents were there? Not saying it's right but people do really dreadful things when drunk which they may or may not regret later!

I admit I missed part of her testimony today. Was he also drunk when he broke her windshield?

I guess I'm lucky. I've been with people when they had too much to drink and NOT one of them has lifted a hand to me.

guess I just knew the right people.

I believe he is an investigator.

A PI, huh?

Thank you, Cody...:)

I wonder what kind of involvement he has in this case.

Oops, defense just basically destroyed this shoe witness, imo.

Actually, Michelle has spoken. Michelle's therapist said she told her there was no physical violence in the marriage. The jury can not disregard the words from the victim.

An incident five years previously when Young was drunk will be ignored by the jury after they hear from Josh Dalton that there were no visible injuries.

JMO

Again we'll have to agree to disagree.

Most people I know don't make excuses for abusers. So, IMHO, the jury, or at least some or perhaps ALL, will remember her testimony.

I thought it was the same incident. I don't have sound at work so I'm only going from what was posted here.

Yes, you are very lucky.

I apologize if I implied that was only post of yours I saw as good. :blushing:

What happened? Thanks

Didn't she also testify that the reason they were fighting was because he was drunk? The big problem for the prosecution is that--while Young apparently made quite a fool of himself when drinking--there is no evidence he had anything to drink the night of Michelle's murder.

JMO

No, there is no evidence he was drinking the night he allegedly murdered his wife and unborn child.

There is LOTS of circumstantial evidence he was busily implementing his plan to sneak back into town and murder her and go about his way as if he hadn't a care in the world.

but, that's just me,
