Would Glasgow set up an appointment to meet with Mary P. for a distant date, or would he just do it? I don't think he'd wait. I also don't think he'd make it public if he was going to meet. Mary P. wouldn't make it public either if she was going to meet the Glasgow.

Something doesn't fit with this story in my opinion.

I agree. I believe they have already met and Peterson is being watched constantly. It could be for a reaction or an opportunity. He may not go down for Stacy's murder but he will for Kathleen's.

I just hope it is sooner than later.

Considering the Selig connection, it's not surprising that there is a distinct odor coming from this story. Considering how under the radar Mary P. has stayed, I agree that neither of them would make this public. It could be false information made public to force a response from the States Attorney.

:)

If Glasgow is really meeting with Mary P. on December 4 ... could an arrest be connected to the meeting in some way?

In reading the above article the following sentence jumped out at me. "Armstrong also says Glasgow, citing sources, is scheduled to meet with the families of Kathleen Savio and Stacy Peterson, as early as tomorrow."

I would think that Glasgow might meet with the families of Kathleen and Stacy to tell them first that DP has been arrested or is in the process of being arrested, prior to the news being released to the media.

ARREST THIS PONDSCUMSUCKER AND GET IT OVER WITH!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, didn't mean to shout. I'm just getting so d@mn impatient with all this waiting. I want to see how much of a sense of humor he has while in handcuffs.

It looks like it came from Armstrong. He seems to have inserted himself into the investigation pretty throughly. Armstrong is guessing that the meeting with the families tomorrow is for a progress report and that the Dec. 4 th meeting with Mary P. is to review her testimony. How Armstrong got this info I don't know. But it is possible that JAB found out and told Armstrong.

But Dec. 4th is also a Grand Jury date. And I am thinking that since the hearsay law has passed, Glascow may be wanting to present the documentation that Kathleen left with her family in case anything ever happened to her, to the GJ. Or he could be wanting to review it for possible presentation to the GJ if he hasn't reviewed it before.

Close hang onto your optimism until after the 4th okay?

It's been more than a year. We've just got to be patient a little bit longer. I believe an arrest is coming very soon. It might be a matter of getting everything in order from a legal standpoint.

What I understand in Illinois they have to have a GJ indictment before they can formally charge. So it would stand to reason that since he has been out this long that they would wait until they had the indictment in hand before they made an arrest.

I suspect we'll see an arrest sometime in the next week to 10 days. They've been waiting all this time for the Hearsay bill to be in place, and now that it's a done deal, an arrest will be coming.

It may well be a matter that the grand jury will have to meet this Thursday to sign papers and make an indictment official. I would expect an arrest as soon as the paperwork is in order.

I never thought in a million years that it would take this long for a GJ decision.
Look at KC..............a matter of days! Illinois drags their feet. I like Fla law better!
and Texas just does the death penalty! IMO,it can't come soon enough!

Passionflower every case is different and this case is particularly complex. When Kathleen died her death was determined to be accidental. You can bet that will be a challenge to overcome. Then Stacey disappeared, the challenge will be in proving that she is dead (the defense has presented alleged sightings from as far away as Thailand). In this case they don't even have a hair with a death band. The prosecution has one chance to make their case. If they don't prove their case they don't get a do over. So with the difficulties of the case I just hope they get it right, even if it does take a little longer.

I still pray that this DP doesn't get away with murder. IMO, he is a serial killer..........

Yes, we all think so. And I believe there's a possibility that it's more than just his wives......there seem to be other unsolved homicides in his past.

The statute of limitations never runs out on murder - thank GOD!

He'll get what he deserves eventually; I'm confident of that.

I thought that I had followed this case very carefully, but I missed anything about other unsolved homicides. Do share, please!

I'm confident that the Illinois grand jury would have indicted DP much sooner if it hadn't been hampered by legal technicalities.

In Illinois, as in most states, hearsay evidence in not admissible in court. Much of the evidence in the Kathleen Savio murder IS hearsay evidence. The evidence that the pastor will be able to testify to - that Stacy confessed to him that she knew that DP killed Kathleen, and the details Stacy told him, and the documents written by Kathleen herself prior to her death in which she stated that she feared DP would kill her, are just two examples of hearsay evidence that would not be admissible in any trial of DP.

Legislation was introduced to the Illinois state legislature to allow hearsay evidence in cases of capital crimes. The Illinois law follows the same law that was passed in California, which was challenged and revised. Basing their law on the revised version of the California law, the Illinois hearsay law will now allow the hearsay evidence to be introduced and heard in any future trial of DP.

It was important to hold off on indicting DP until this piece of legislation was passed and had become law. Otherwise, an indictment prior to this law would not allow the crucial hearsay evidence.

So, we've all had to exercise patience as we all want the prosecution to have all the ammunition they need to get a conviction in both the death of Kathleen Savio and the disappearance of Stacy Peterson.

There's been several curious deaths in Bolingbrook over the years. One was the brother of a young, underage girl that DP was seeing. I believe this was at the time of DP's first or second marriage. DP was seeing this young girl, sneaking her into the Peterson home, and her older brother objected to the relationship. The older brother was found hanging in the garage of his home, an apparent suicide. There was no suicide note and all of his friends or family said he was happy, no signs of depression. Guess who found him................DP, and he was alone when he found him, so there's no other witnesses to the discovery of the body.

There's been other similar deaths in Bolingbrook and I don't remember all of them at this moment. But I vaguely recall that one was a friend of Kathleen Savio's. Too many strange deaths around one individual - DP.

Edited to add: I knew that we discussed the other deaths here at WS, and I found the thread on this subject. Here's the link:

I'm waiting too! I'm hoping this will be what we've all waited for.
