It's the FBI. They do not have to tell the media every little detail of a current investigation. I can assure you they are not confused about what happened there. It is the media that is confused with limited info about the events and who knows what info they've even gotten wrong or made up.

And as for people saying they shouldn't shoot to kill when someone's coming at you with a Samari sword.... Lol. Many different cases involve the perp being questioned in their own home. He simply could have been a person of interest who refused to come to a police station. It's really not hard to think of possibilities of why they were in his home.

Good points thank you!

I don't understand what the problem is with questioning what happened in Orlando with the FBI and other LE agencies there. It's how change occurs.

Two Santa Cruz police officers were killed in February 2013 when they went to question a man about allegations that he had been sexually inappropriate with a former co-worker.
What they didn't know is that he had previously been charged with two rapes in the military but one of those charges had been dropped for an "other than honorable discharge" from the army. This was a violent man.

So now political figures are questioning how the military deals with sexual assaults.

Good thing.

Boston Marathon Champion Gives Medal To City

In a ceremony Sunday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 2013 Boston Marathon champion Lelisa Desisa gave his winner’s medal to the city of Boston in a sign of respect and honor. Desisa, 23, presented the medal to former Massachusetts Senator and current U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.

According to CBS News, Desisa said that “sport should be a pleasure and never a battlefield.”

Not judging -- food for thought?

No offense, but there is a fine line between food for thought and implying a conspiracy without facts. I'd rather not cross that line and will wait for the information to be made public before deducing anything. I guess you can say the FBI agent is innocent until proven guilty as well. JMO.

It's not the questioning that some have a problem with. It's the accusations.
The FBI has been accused here, on this thread, of a cover up with absolutely nothing to back up the accusation. NOTHING

It's infuriating really.

We really don't know enough to question what happened in Orlando with the FBI and other LE agencies there. Because we don't know what happened.

Some are jumping to conclusions and pointing fingers when there is no information.

I have seen so many things attributed to FBI sources (knife, blade, samurai sword, un-armed) that I don't know what to believe at all.

I agree.

Regardless if he had the sword in his hand or was going for it, he pushed the table against the agent causing him to hit his head that had to be stitched up.
This article said he also threw a chair.

Both could have been deadly. With or without the sword.

And let's not forget, the FBI spokesperson (who was a NAMED source) said something along the lines of the agent felt he was in imminent danger (paraphrasing obviously). I'll have to try to find that link again.

Regardless, like you said, we have several unnamed sources with conflicting information.

I guess we'll have to see what the officials say.
The ones who are named.

Here is a named source:

"The agent, along with other law enforcement personnel, were interviewing an individual in connection with the Boston Marathon bombing investigation when a violent confrontation was initiated by the subject," FBI Agent Dave Couvertier said in a statement obtained by FoxNews.com. "During the confrontation, the individual was killed and the agent sustained non-life threatening injuries. As this incident is under review, we have no further details at this time."

Also keep in mind that IT was an ex-MMA fighter, so the agent had good reason to feel he was in danger. Hostile person trained in mixed martial arts, flying furniture and reaching for a sword. I don't think he was reaching for it for show and tell...

Todashev was shot 7 times.

Shibly said there was a sword at the apartment, but it was mounted on the wall, ornamental and had a dull blade and a broken handle.

Todashev's widow said Wednesday that she has records proving her husband was with her in Atlanta on Sept. 11, 2011, so he could not have been in Massachusetts on the day of the triple killing. Manukyan was married to Todashev for about three years, she said.

Hmm I have no idea what I or my fiancé were doing on sept 11, 2011. I wonder how she knows what they were doing.

Slightly OT:
If you haven't seen or heard about this, it was very informative:
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/tech/manhunt-boston-bombers.html

"Manhunt—Boston Bombers

Which technologies worked—and which didn't—in the race to track down the men behind the marathon attack? Aired May 29, 2013 on PBS "

You can watch it online

I thought this Nova special on the Boston bombing was very good tonight.

The section on facial recognition and New York City's complex video network and facial recognition capability was very interesting.

In the end LE turned to the public for assistance with the unidentified images they had ... and the rest is history.

PBS and Nova are to be congratulated for a noteworthy great documentary.

They knew that when they went in.I will never understand why 8 armed officials coudn't handle one single guy,who they knew was a crazy, violent hothead and very likely to lash out,IMO.
IMO no way he was going to sign a confession, that's why he got upset.

She says she has "prove" that he was in Atlanta at the time with her.So I'm assuming there were pictures taken?

8? I have read "at least 3" officials, but where is the report that there were 8?
Since I was not there, and since there is an official investigation being done, I guess its best to wait for the facts to be provided.
Judging from the description of the recent fight he had over a parking space, I would say his punches are more lethal than most.
Although friends described him as a "good guy," Todashev was arrested by Orange County deputies earlier this month after he allegedly got into a fight with two men in a mall parking lot over a parking space.

A Sheriff's Office report said Todashev left the scene while one of the victims was unconscious on the ground surrounded by a "considerable" amount of blood.

"I thought he was wearing brass knuckles but it was just his fist," said Lester Garcia Baez, one of the men attacked. "It was shocking how accurate and quick his punches were."

Was the shooting justified? Were the agents in imminent danger? I don't know, I wasn't there. But I have not eliminated it from the realm of possibility.

Anything reported from the media, or for that matter anyone who was not there (ie. his ex-wife and friend, etc) needs to be taken with a grain of salt until the facts are released. I would be surprised if they did not have an audio, if not video, recording of the interview.
