Silly yes but with the way this thing played out with crowd sourcing on the net and half the world playing where's Waldo I don't think there's a place in the US they could have got away with it.

Funny comment came from one of #2s teachers who admitted he recognized the suspect when pics were released (CBS news)

When asked why he didn't call the authorities when he saw the pic on TV his response was he was such a nice kid I didn't think it could be him.

hahaha, Unfortunately I've seen some women's places that make you tiptoe, and keep your hands in your pockets! I get your point though, but I'm wondering if this was their mother's place? Looking at the forth pic down, I see a women's flat with a bow under the beige gym shoe.

I was reading the comments under the article, someone pointed out there is a pressure cooker in the 1st pic. There sure is.

(Shhh, a little secret. The Feds can and will look at any and everything you do with or without your knowledge. You may not know if you are not breaking any laws. They can even hang out and do drugs with druggies. They can do what they want, you just don't always know. Pieces of paper can show up to cover any choices they make.)

:blushing: I thought I was an only child!

Are you telling me I have a big brother?

works for me. I am good girl, but if someone set me up...
not much I could do. :dunno:

Similar to this case and just as baffling to those who thought they knew him.....

"But in an interview with the National Post, Mr. Plotnikov confirmed William’s death and spoke for the first time about his son’s rapid transformation from Toronto teenager and champion boxer to Muslim convert and jihadist fighter.

What seemed to amaze Mr. Plotnikov most was how fast it all happened. His son only became interested in Islam in 2009, he said. Within a year, he had left Canada and by July he was dead. He had gone from convert to martyr in less than three years

"One month after he returned to the United States, a YouTube page that appeared to belong to him was created and featured multiple jihadist videos that he had endorsed in the past six months. One video featured the preaching of Abdul al-Hamid al-Juhani, an important ideologue in Chechnya; another focused on Feiz Mohammad, an extremist Salafi Lebanese preacher based in Australia."

Well they have a footprint on him now.
It's not pretty.

So the FBI is ASKED to look into him before his trip to one of the places that us a hotspot for Islamic terror training...and they never peek again when he gets back???

Just to see ...ahhhh...if maybe he GOT that training?

We seem to be bending over backwards to stay ignorant.

Don't think I got an answer for this when I asked before,is the widow of TT,the same person he beat?(or whatever domestic violence he performed),or was that a different girlfriend? If someone different,I sure would like to hear from her.

I'm not sure. I've been attempting to find the answer to that question.

Here's something interesting I did find:

Ruslan Tsarni, who said he was an uncle of the brothers, told CNN on Saturday he first noticed a change in Tamerlan's religious views in 2009. He suggested the radicalization of his nephew happened while he was in the United States "in the streets of Cambridge (Massachusetts)."

He was arrested for domestic violence in 2009. I was discussing this on another forum, several commentators with knowledge of the Caucasus region made the point that this would have been a humiliating experience for any man, especially one from Chechnya. I agree. It could have been the beginning of his radicalization.

I don't know if this has been brought up or not so forgive me if its a repeat... The death of Bin Laden was confirmed at Mass Gen when his sister died in Boston (authorities had a tissue sample to compare DNA). I have read in the past that she lived in Cambridge, along with other members of his extended family & their affiliates. Bin Laden's sister died in 2010. Tamerlin got wiggy in 2010. Cambridge...mom's arrest shows Cambridge residence. They chose BOSTON to bomb. Just sayin'...

Report: DNA At Mass. General Confirms bin Laden's Death
DNA From bin Laden's Sister Collected At Massachusetts General
UPDATED 6:42 AM EDT May 02, 2011

Snipped:
BOSTON —The death of a sister of Osama bin Laden at Massachusetts General Hospital allowed the United States to confirm bin Laden's death, ABC News reported.

When his sister died in Boston, tissue from her body was taken by government officials for DNA testing, ABC News correspondent Brian Ross reported.

A source told NewsCenter 5 that bin Laden's sister died in Boston about a year ago.

The tissue sample was used to match the DNA found on the man killed by special forces troops who conducted the raid on bin Laden's Pakistani compound.

According to the Patriot Act they have more rights to investigate then before.

I should not that, according to Wikipedia, suspect #2 was failing chemistry.

Could you imagine what an A student could have done?

You need to remember the law only allows the FBI to investigate somebody so far. It's what keeps them from prying open our mailboxes and looking inside, it's what keeps them from going through our sock drawer when we're not at home.

They can look at his phone records, social media and poke around a little bit in his life but this is all surface stuff.
They cannot by law do a deep investigation into his life without a reason. If they don't find something that looks funny on the surface then that's as far as they can go.

bbm, I'm not sure what is legal, but I know they are collecting already.

(Bolding mine)

It does look sort of like a woman's pink plastic shoe, but I think that it is probably a stand for some kind of sport's equipment. The black "bow" is just the velcro strap from the shin guard (or whatever it is) next to it.

ETA: Oh wait, never mind -- I see it's a white shoe up higher in the pic. TT was married so I suppose it could be something of his wife's that got thrown in there.

Clicked on the link to the mosque (The Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center) and this is a portion of what is posted on the website...

Boston-Muslim Community Proud of Our Law Enforcement and City; Re-opens
Today

The Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center and the Boston-Muslim Community is proud of our law enforcement officials in apprehending the second Boston bombing suspect. We are also proud of our Boston community in immediately providing tips to law enforcement officials in apprehending these suspects.

While we are all relieved for our weeklong nightmare to end, we are also deeply troubled and saddened. Yesterday, one of our police officers was brutally killed and another injured. We cannot help but feel angry that all this has happened to our city. Read more at http://isbcc.org/

A lot of men only become abusive to their partners when they become severely depressed, under intense pressure etc. It perhaps signifies a time in his life he is lost and therefore succeptable to take in anything which gives him direction for his life, and more open to radicalisation.

I'm not suggesting he was depressed or anything, just that if he was looking for meaning or started soul searching he was probably more receptive of radicalist views which could guide him. MOO

this is off-topic, but I know we have lots of Bostonians/New Englanders here. what is behind Boston and the song Sweet Caroline?

Neil Diamond has said he got the idea after seeing that photo of Caroline Kennedy riding her pony Macaroni on the cover of Life in '62 (altho it was five years later when he finished writing the song and seven years later when he released it). JFK was born in Brookline, a suburb of Boston, and was a US Senator from MA ... is that the connection? I've looked everywhere online and all I find are opinions/guesses. TIA

Its played at Fenway Park, the reason why escapes me but I think it was just something that one of the audio people played for the fans in the eighth inning and people really got into it. So now its played at every single home game in the 8th. The fans really get into it, and its always something I look forward to when I go to the game.
Since Bostonian's love the Red Sox, Sweet Caroline has been "Bostons song".

He probably believed he had a perfect "right" to beat this woman. Mustof been a shock to have been then prosecuted by a woman. Wonder if this was his wife? Would sure lend credence a blossoming hatred.
