"MONTREAL - More than two years after Audrey and Noemi Belanger died in a Thailand hotel room, their father is still looking for answers.

Audrey, 20, and Noemie, 26, had been staying on the island of Koh Phi Phi in June 2012, when they both mysteriously died. Now, Carl Belanger is looking forward to the February release of a coroner's report he hopes will shed light on what killed them."

In the death of Christina Annesley:
So far no signs of foul play, no signs of physical violence or sexual abuse says the chief of the Institute of Forensic Medicine said on Sunday. The
team could not officially conclude the cause of death yet as they had to wait for the result of toxicology tests, which will not be known until Monday evening at the earliest, he said.

Annesley had complained of a chest infection. She also said she was taking Tramadol, a powerful painkiller, while drinking. (per her tweets)

"Channon, a humanitarian aid worker, was hit in the back of the neck, likely with a steel pipe, as he was wandering along a beachfront trail in Koh Lipe on the evening of Aug. 14.

He regained consciousness as he was being dragged to a dark, isolated part of the beach by his attacker.

His feeble cries for help went unanswered by nearby beach revelers. Channon spent an entire night lying on the sand, unable to move, while mosquitoes and fire ants gnawed his flesh and stray dogs licked his face.

The attack left the father of three an “incomplete” quadriplegic, which means it’s possible that, through intense rehabilitation, he could regain movement."

Hannah's family have set up a ******** page to help pay for their costs associated with attending the trial in July. A charity is said to have pledged to help them, but even after that they esimate it will cost them 10-12k to attend.

It must mean a massive amount to them to be there, it probably feels like all they can do for Hannah now.
 
This case is not all it seems and the investigation into these murders by the Thai authorities has been seriously flawed. Many people are concerned that the two Myanmar nationals who are due to stand trial for the murders of David Miller and Hannah Witheridge are scapegoats and will not receive a fair trial. Consequently a new website has been created calling for justice in the investigation and judicial procedure.

Given that they're privy to the UK police reports it would suggest the forensics match up to the Burmese boys. They must have got DNA from them (or their parents) to test against DNA found on Hannah, right?

Since the families' statement that was issued via the FCO back in December 2014, it has come to light that the British police have done absolutely nothing with regards to this investigation. Their visit to Thailand was purely as "observers" only and they were not allowed to investigate or do any independent DNA testing. Any information they received came directly from the Thai police and the prosecutor, and it is that which has been passed on to the victims' families.
 
I don't believe nobody has taken DNA to compare with the UK autopsy results. It could be taken from the parents/siblings of the Burmese men. Could a private investigator do this?

Defence and prosecution lawyers at Thursday's hearing are expected to update the court as to the progress of preparing witnesses, the Democratic Voice of Burma reported.

The court is also expected to consider the recent requests by the defence team that physical evidence be re-examined by the Ministry of Justice's Central Institute of Forensic Science, and for more information provided regarding the process of DNA analysis.

Thai police nevertheless remain confident that DNA evidence will prove the Myanmar pair are guilty. Results of an investigation by British police from Scotland Yard were never made public, but the families of the two murdered Britons have reportedly been in contact with British authorities and say they are convinced Zaw Lin and Win Zaw Htun are guilty.

What chance do the accused have of a fair trial if the victims' families are CONVINCED they are GUILTY? Their original statement via the FCO said that the evidence APPEARS to be convincing - big difference.
