JMO, I think the titles need to be stripped. Its obvious that PH will say goodbye to the UK after his Thursday patronage event . MM will never return either.
I will be surprised if their titles or stripped. I don’t see the Queen choosing to alienate her family further.

I’m sure both Harry and Meghan will return to the UK on occasion, as they have said they believe in the role of the Monarchy and their commitment to the Queen is unwavering. They both have said they will continue with their patronages.

Jumping off my own post but this is why The Cambridge's marriage works well. They dated for a very long time then waited to have children and they compliment each other very well in their work relationship and how they raise their kids.

Ironically, Prince Henry's parents lived in close proximity, and dated for only a short time before they married.

They were virtually strangers to each other when they married.

Frogmore needs to be taken away too. There is plenty of space at BP for them to visit if the do visit. PH might come back but not MM and Archie. That is sad how that played out when Archie was left in another country and BOOM the drama started. The Queen loves every grandchild !! JMO

Oh yes, I forgot to mention I would have changed the locks as well :)

I don’t know where I read it, or the accuracy of it, but in one article it mentioned that the Cambridge children had only met their cousin Archie once or twice in 8 months ... how sad is that?! Obviously this “slight” or “family disagreement” has been going on for awhile! PW and family and PH and family live in the same area for goodness sake. It’s all so sad......

Your correct, I forgot about that

How long was it. I forget. A year or less?
About a year, seeing each other every few weeks, until they got engaged. Then she was in the UK a lot.
I would give them 5 years at the outside.Of all US cities she apparently wants to live in L.A. which I just cannot imagine PH settling into the California lifestyle. He will miss too much about England after the novelty wears off.

I think it would have been long enough had they been living in the same place the whole time but a large portion of their dating was done long distance

They met in the July 2016, so they've only been "together" 3 1/2 years and already have had a show wedding that took months of planning and an 8-month-old baby. I think that's really fast by any standard. Then add to it what you said about how much of that time was early dating and time that wasn't even spent together.

Harry and Meghan’s First Sit-Down Interview After Step Down Won’t ‘Be Pretty’
No idea of the accuracy of the Tom Bradby article posted up thread, I would imagine given hes an anchor of a news programme he wouldn't make it all up completely and he does seem to have a good relationship with Harry.

This quote really stood out to me:

"“My understanding is that William did try [to make amends], but the impression I have, for the moment at least, is that things have gone too far to be retrieved,” the journalist admitted."

I'm wondering if anyone else had formed a similar impression but I've always thought of Harry as the more forgiving of the two, considering he had Fergie at his wedding when William didn't.

The things you read about William testing friends to make sure they don't sell stories and understandably cutting them out if they do, I wouldn't have thought of him as someone to offer an olive branch.

Then again before the Africa interview I would have thought of Harry as someone who would keep entirely silent on his familial relationships.

Marriage can change the dynamics in sibling relationships. PH was always visiting PW and DC before he got married.. JMO

The video interview with the royal photographer is really good. I don’t have the link, but I think you can easily find it. He explains when & why Harry changed, based on his experience with Harry.

Everyone will come out smelling like roses.
We have been fed 80% BS from the media.

Yes, the media has stirred the pot and fed us a huge serving of rotten speculation and lies. Of course, choosing not to eat at their table is always an option. ;) I think many will be surprised at how well this works out for all concerned.

I agree. IMO Queen Elizabeth will act with understanding and wisdom and compassion. Harry, Megan and Archie are family, not just part of a business. She isn’t going to “fire” them. Even in corporations, employers make accommodations and work around the limitations of valued employees. Harry and Meghan are certainly valued by the BRF and much of the British public. I don’t see that diminishing. I believe she will find a way to meet as many of the needs and desires of Harry and Meghan as possible. And I expect H and M will work with and accommodate the Queen on whatever they do because they care about her too, despite what the tabloids would like us to think. I believe Harry and Meghan will keep their titles and fulfill their role supporting the Queen as they laid out on their website.

As far as receiving money from Charles and whether security is covered by the tax payers or staying at Frogmore is concerned, this type of controversy occurs already even with “lesser royals.” So it seems unnecessary for the Queen to be punitive about all this with H and M. No matter what is decided, people will complain because that’s what people do. :) But I believe the doubters will be pleasantly surprised about how it all works out for the best for all concerned.

If it turns out badly in the long run as some predict, I will come back and eat crow. :D
