Not if Ron had ring tones set for people/friends/family and he knew who was calling without looking.
I screen my calls the same way. <shrug>
Nothing nefarious IMO

Criminal or not, a good parent would have answered any call that could have pertained to his daughter. How would he know that some friend or family did not have information about his missing daughter unless he knew she wasn't missing?

IMO..The whole scenario points to everything being nefarious.. Even IF his ringtone was set for people/friends/family he should have jumped to answer that phone..His mama too...What IF people/friends/family were calling in to tell him Haleigh had been found...People don't ignore phone calls when their child is missing unless they know their child isn't missing...

I suspect he didn't answer the phone because he knew his daughter was deceased and he knew no one would be calling him to give him any news about his "heart"..Same applies to his mama...JMHO

I think the fight over the gun has something to do with it too. Why was rc so adament that there was "no fignt over no gun" in the beginning, although others spoke up before rc saying there was a fight over the gun, evidently not knowing the game plan at the time. The fight and the gun has to be involved somehow, JMO.

Didn't he have uncle donnie turn the gun in after the sentencing? RC wanted to distance himself from the MH and from the gun. It the gun was not important, why deny a fight took place over the gun. If JO was the perp and rc suspected him, rc cleared him due to no motive. If RC thought ANY of the croslins harmed Haleigh, wouldn't he be hauling azz in his truck to go get them...at leasat that is the RC I have grown to know. ron did nothing. He sat in the front yard and let teresa talk to the PoPo.

His darn strange behavior is what has caused this case to go sideways...:banghead:

Whisp, what about the possibility that RC and TN were so overcome with sadness, grief and shock that they didn't even hear the phone ring?

Anyone know why Ron is here?

WAKULLA ANNEX

grandmaj, RC was placed in the Wakulla Annex upon his request because he asked to be part of the Faith and Character Program. This is the same as prison, except the inmates receive a lot of counseling. This will not, in and of itself reduce his prison time, however, it could shine favorably in a judge's eye, as could any counseling.

Lord Jesus Help Me not lose my salvation and say what I think about that!:maddening:

LOL, I was thinking the same watching Teresa just sitting there beside Ronald with his phone just ringing away, all the while trying to push the "somebody stole my child" story. WTH? Any and I mean any grandmother who thought that their grandchild had been kidnapped would have snatched that phone out of his hand as fast as lightning!!!!!!!!!! That same grandmother would have also snatched that phone if she thought that her grandchild was misssing, period. She didn't because she already knew that Haleigh wasn't missing or kidnapped..........

This soon to be Grandmother would have snatched him bald headed and gone for his 'nads til he fessed up to what happened to my Grandbaby. Believe me my kids know I would do it too....(*&(&)&)_RC and TN *T^^^))&6and GGM $$&^(^)(*)

IF and when he ever decides to stand up like a man and tell the truth as to what really happened to his daughter and admit he is the one responsible for her demise perhaps we will know he has developed some character.....
Until then....

Yeah, the "gun" is a sore subject for Ronald. I can only image he didn't want any information out about the gun because the gun in question is illegal to own. Like a an old Tommy Machine Gun.

In previous posts I pointed out that Ron's fascination with the Godfather movie series would make an old fashioned machine gun a prize possession for him to own. It would certainly fit the Godfather fantasy. And it is illegal to own one of those and there is a heavy fine for owning one. If that gun exsists, by now it's long gone or hidden very well. And as we know Ronald is far away from own any type of gun for a long, long time.

all just my guess or opinion.

But we don't know if Ron's cell phone had that feature. All we know is that it rang and a ringing phone, when you're in the middle of a missing child saga, should be answered immediately. It's just common sense to me.

This is the same behavior we saw with Scott Peterson when he turned off his ringing phone without checking it during a television interview. He definitely knew he wasn't going to get a phone call from his wife.

I do think, for me, that Ronald knows what happened to his daughter. Maybe he wasn't involved but he knows. And I find it puzzling that he doesn't want to help solve this case. He can only say the drug boys didn't do it. Haleigh deserves justice.

To solve the case he'd have to admit he was somehow responsible, and that would spoil his perfect image.

Had HaLeigh been found a few minutes for an interview about her case would have made little difference.
Ron wasn't in hiding when his phone rang. She would have been reunited with her father pretty darn quick.
No biggie, IMO

True, but by the same token 'we' don't know that it didn't have the feature, so why pretend he was remiss by not answering?

Or titanfan, he could be silent because he is covering for someone very close to him. Someone he doesn't want to get in trouble. I have my idea who that person is. And, it is not Misty.

In case after case we see Parents and family members go to great lengths to get the word out about a missing child or family member. Outside of Ron's on-his-knees tears, I can't recall much pleading from him to the public.

In fact, when he was approached by the media outside the tattoo place, I think he shunned them away.

My belief: he's covering for someone and possibly welcomed a stint in jail hoping the heat would be off and the questioning about his daughter would stop. And his secrets could be cemented away. This all seems so unfair to his little girl.
