Did we hear at first that Allison went for a late night walk? Was that misreporting from media .. or did GBC have a different version going at one stage?

No it wasn't misreporting Mrs. G. GBC told Elise Nielson (friend of both) that Allison went for a walk that night. Elise Nielson testified at the committal hearing.

Re the walk version...

Text copied from bail hearing doc...

The defendant initially told police and other witnesses that it was usual for the deceased to take a morning walk on week days and that he was concerned that morning because the deceased was due to attend a work seminar and had planned to leave the house at 7am. The defendant told his sister Olivia Walton of the deccased's walking route at about 6.30am on 20 April 2012. The defendant told another witness, Elise Nielsen, a long term friend of the deceased, that the deceased normally went for a walk at about 10pm in the evening. The defendant identified two possible walking route to uniform police, however, three hours later told the deceased's parents that he did not know the walking route. That is, within a few hours the defendant provided four differing accounts about the walking routines undertaken by the deceased. Enquiries with the deceased's parents and close friends indicated that the deceased was not known to walk for excercise and was unlikely to have gone walking late at night. Extensive enquiries were conducted along the suggested walking routes with no persons coming forward having witnessed anyone matching the deceased's description walking at either of these times in this area.

He searched her handbag and then searched the Baden-Clay's two vehicles.

He did not find the phone, but did find a small box of anti-depressant tablets in the centre console of the silver Holden Captiva. The tablets had been prescribed to Mrs Baden-Clay.

The box was empty.

In other words they were onto him from the start thanks largely to the affair and those scratches IMO.

I don't know why but I still feel like the father has more involvement in all this :/ JMO

3:51pm: Defence counsel Michael Byrne QC suggested Constable Ash "believed something untoward had happened" after arriving at the house.

"At that point, being a police officer and a first response police officer, I thought it possible that perhaps domestic violence had taken place," Constable Ash said.

Mr Byrne asked: "You didn't see any sign of a struggle?"

Constable Ash replied: "No."

My Brne said: "You thought there might be blood and you found none."

Constable Ash replied: "Yes ... I saw no traces of blood."
