I was just rethinking the circumstantial info on the wife. He also said something along the lines her info and JH info matched. IDK maybe we should rewatch that part.

I think they mean she was looking at the same sick stuff on her computer as he was. I think she also looked at living child free sites and hot car death information.

I like the trial date. It's normally the defense who uses delay after delay. If the defense tries to delay the case, it becomes more likely the case will take place in the summer. The prosecution should be able to prove their case no matter when the trial is. You don't have to be shot to convict someone for shooting someone.

Perhaps there will be a warm spell in February.

I really hope the prosecution can provide a demonstration by heating the inside of a car to the temp it was inside the car on the day Cooper died, and having jurors sit in it.

Anyone know if that type of demonstration would be allowed?

There's no way I could see the judge allowing that. They don't have a case if they have to resort to that.

All it would take would be a small "adjustment" to the thermostat in the courtroom on opening day of trial. Very quickly, the complaints would start rolling in about how hot and stuffy it was in the courtroom. Prosecutor would begin to address the jury with his opening remarks about how uncomfortably warm the courtroom had been, but that the building engineer had acted quickly, cutting off the heat to provide immediate relief.

Then, in a less jocular manner, he would render the sobering facts of his case to the assembly:

"Unlike those of us in this courtroom, there was no relief for Cooper Harris on that sultry, hot day in June when the outside temperature reached [--] degrees. No. There was no relief for that little baby boy, trapped inside his father's car where the temperature spiraled, higher and higher, until it leveled at [--] degrees.

While his father enjoyed a casual lunch with friends, Cooper Harris roasted to death in the suffocating heat of a virtual oven."

Don't forget, June 18th was the first hottest day of 2014 on record.
I can't locate the chart I posted in the thread way back, but as of June 18th it was the hottest day on record.
It had been much cooler in the previous days.

I live about 20 miles from Akers Mill and THAT really cinched it for me. I wonder if he had looked at the forecast prior to Cooper's death.
Moo
ETA: nope I remembered wrong the 13th was.
My bad. I could swear the 18th was, but this says no.

I cannot imagine being seated on this Grand Jury. Most individuals are not accustomed, as we may be, to learning horrific details regarding the alleged criminal's activities before, during and after their crime. This case has shaken all of us. In a way, at least for me, it is a good thing there has been some time passage since our original mourning for Cooper.

According to the chart produced by noheatstroke.org with little Cooper's name listed, the temp was a high of 91 degrees in Cobb Co. on June 18, 2014, the day that Cooper Harris died.

http://noheatstroke.org/hyperthermia2014.htm

Then, changing the date in your 2nd link to June 18, 2014, the high temp that day is listed as 92 degrees. Regardless, the interior of the car exceeded 123 degrees.

Since the GJ heard from the State that LeeAnn is implicated, due to circumstantial evidence; it may be difficult for her to testify on behalf of JRH.

Is he back in court tomorrow?
Not sure if he will be there. Local ATL news reporting there will be a hearing today to determine what evidence will be allowed at trial.

ETA: Vinnie Politan says Ross will be in court today. His lawyers have a pre-trial hearing motion to try and suppress evidence such as the sexting, etc. 11 Alive will be livestreaming.

HTH

I haven't found any information on what time the hearing starts.

Vinnie is talking about how with most trials, that the defendant should never testify. But if all this doesn't get kicked today, e.g. sexting to an underage girl, searches etc.... that Ross will testify. (Without all this stuff, he could just have involuntary manslaughter so the prosecution wants to keep all this in) The guy with Vinnnie on his show earlier this am said the same thing (Darryle Cohen) . Status.... still waiting for the pictures from the court, but Vinnie is live ... :happydance: Today's hearing could last an hour or two days per Vinnnie. He is stating we may learn things today that we didn't know previously.

...Defense today will be wanting to say that the search warrant was invalid so all the sexting etc gets thrown out.

Nice to see my Vinnie again. ;)

Judges on the bench.

Audio is awful

Wonder if any other feeds are better?

First request by the defense attorney would be to allow him to have his right hand out of his cuffs so he can take notes

Home, car, work warrants are at issue per defense. Initial seizure of his cell, his car, his homne, his work separate from his office. To seize them they should have had a valid warrant or legally justifiable reason they searched.

There were 30 searches and seizures, so this will be a tedious process. They are going to focus on lack of probable cause, and misleading information given when they did the warrants.
