I was just re-reading AL's July Interview
http://www.wftv.com/download/2008/0923/17540075.pdf
and on pg. 22 he says that he pulled into the parking lot at Amscott(didn't say he got out) and that Casey told him she ran out of gas and that she'd take care of it later because she knew he was busy with school.

Then while he is NY he asks her about the car and she tells him GA picked it up to take it to a mechanic or dealership to get it fixed....so the car being towed in Caseyspeak is GA taking it to get fixed. Poor GA, first he hits squirrels with the car then he takes it to get repaired and it ends up at a tow yard smelling like decomp..all this after having an almost stroke a few weeks before..

In the Sept interview http://www.cfnews13.com/uploadedFiles/Lazaro Tony.090808.pdf on page 8 he says he drove into the Amscot paking lot and she walked up to the car with her bags.

Okay, now off to check the Sept interview because I remember the story being a bit different.....and GA was added into the abandoned car story and that he had gotten to car to a repair shop...probably because by this time it had been towed???

Could you link to this particular interview? I'd like to see the difference between the two statements.. thanks!

My guess is that she told him she kept running out of gas because her gas gauge was broken, so she would have an excuse for leaving it there for daddy to pick up rather than just getting some gas and driving away. That way she wouldn't have to drive Tony to the airport in a stinky car. ;)

Oh I totally agree.
Since the car sat at the Amscot for a few days, before TL left for NY on June 30, I will assume TL does not take that route often or Casey managed to keep him away from that intersection, so he wouldn't see the car still parked there on the weekend until it was towed, I mean, AHEM, GA came to pick it up :)

June 24 - Now KC knows she has a problem with the odor in her trunk. This is why she blows past dad when he wants to get the tool from her trunk - she cannot let him smell it. GA does get close to the car, but never got to the rear of the vehicle before KC shoved the gas cans into his hands. Given the trunk was opened just briefly before George got there and the car was parked outside, there was ample time for what little odor escaped to dissipate enough so as not to register to GA. KC dodges another. :yow:

[SNIP]

I don't think KC had things completely worked out in her mind, but it seems her first instinct was to enlist Amy's help to get gas for the car. This meant she had to explain the smell in advance so as not to surprise Amy  when they both showed up to put gas in the car, thus prompting two advance calls and text.

I believe June 27 is the date she put Tony's garbage in the trunk. I do not believe it was in there on the 24th because if it were KC would not have been as worried about George smelling the trunk - just blame it on the garbage.

On the 25th she started formulating the excuse for the smell calling Amy to tell her about it, and then following up with a call the next day to tell her how much worse it had gotten. However, cell pings indicate she did not go anywhere that day.

On the 27th she decides to go to the 'rents, but needs to be prepared in case she runs into George unexpectedly again. So, as she heads out she grabs Tony's garbage and tosses it in the trunk, making like she plans to dump it off at the dumpster as she leaves to complex. Instead, she leaves her excuse in the trunk for the trip to Hopespring.

Just in case.

I posted this in the wrong thread, but reposting here.

I read an article today that really struck me and gave me a new perspective regarding the smell.

"Rotten office fridge cleanup sends 7 to hospital
18 hours ago

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — An office worker cleaning a fridge full of rotten food created a smell so noxious that it sent seven co-workers to the hospital and made many others ill.

Firefighters had to evacuate the AT&T building in downtown San Jose on Tuesday after the fumes led someone to call 911. A hazmat team was called in.

"

Interestingly, even though the old/moldy food was already there for a while, the smell of the refrigerator was not bad/noxious UNTIL they started cleaning it. I am wondering if this is what happened with the pontiac. There may have been a decomp smell, but it was exacerbated when Casey tried to clean it. That would also explain the existence of chloroform and her explanation to Annie that it was from "cleaning chemicals."

So, I don't think the smell or strength of smell actually corresponds to the presence of the body in the trunk. I think maybe she tried to clean up after herself after she dumped the body, and that's when the smell really kicked in.

But she abandoned the car on the 26th. You think she went back to the car on the 27th to put garbage in the trunk?

You're just one day off, natsound. She abandoned it Friday, June 27. She did not drive it at all (it seems based on cell pings) on the 25th and 26th.

Actually, I would KILL to see CA's credit card receipts and KC's Wal-Mart receipts. LE has both, I think. CA refused LE the receipts, but you KNOW LE can gt the credit card records.

I was kinda surprised Lee didn't sneak 'em to LE along with the copies of the reciepts Cindy was supposed to give LE but never did (and then told the media that LE never came for them, wasn't interested in them) and ended up giving to JoseB instead.

Don't think so. Human decomp reeks, no matter where one puts the body. disturbed or not.

And, it doesn't smell the same as rotten groceries.

How interesting that a WS'er posts about the comparison between decomp smell and the smell of rotting food in a refrigerator and then...what? a couple of hours later maybe??...Cindy suddenly makes the same comparison, dropping her usual approach of screaming "PIZZA" whenever anyone mentions the smell. :waitasec:

I dunno. All I know is that I've been around rotting human flesh, and I've been around rotten groceries. Those are just my observations. :)

BTW-- For awhile, people were letting pizzas rot, just to check our CA's statement. The pizzas pretty much just "dried up." :)

I agree that there is likely no comparison. So is Cindy spending her green room time at LKL reading WS? ;) Otherwise, it's pretty coincidental that she suddenly bailed on her pizza theory in favor of the rotten food comparison just after that post appeared.

OT someone should check her fridge for a dead body...

I think you are right about mixing up the two guys because I have searched all the document dumps, and I can't find anything about Andy F. either.

I did read on another board (don't ask me where)that KC spend the night with Andy F. the night before she went to Jesse G's house in the morning to take a shower. That is why I'm trying to find out who the heck he is. And how he fits into the whole drama.

I don't remember that she spent the night with Andy, ever.

She spent one night with somebody else.

I could be wrong, though. It's been a long time since I read those 650 pages.

Re: CA reading us. Wouldn't surprise me! ;-) Not a bit!

I think why nobody noticed the smell in the car is maybe because after she dumped the body, she went back to the A's house and used one of CA's multiple carpet cleaners to clean up the trunk. That would also explain the dogs hitting on spots in the back yard where she dumped the tank. This wouldnt totally eliminate the smell but then grabbed some fabric softener sheets to try to mask the rest of the smell. This would buy her some time. I think she then abandoned the car when the smell started coming back and she didnt know what to do about it but may not have been obvious to anybody but her. After the car was towed and left in the sun and closed up for days in the heat the smell came back with a vengence.
