Mr. Litig8r is a firefighter in our city. He says 911 always tries to call back, and the definitely send police, possibly the fire department (he's trying to nap, so he's not being super forthcoming in details at the moment).

We had a pull box so it started the whole buildings fire alarm. No call to 911 was made. When the firemen arrived, I learned it was the box in my house while my 2 year old jumped with glee. They were very understanding. :blushing:
