Maybe David Hughes was mistaken about them seeing each other in LA.

However, in JA's interrogation video with Flores, she says she went to Santa Cruz on Jun 2 and then stayed with friends in Monterey that night, then saw friends the next day (the day she went to K-Mart).

Seems as if her lies are catching up with her. No one from Santa Cruz or Monterey has stepped up to say she stayed with them so far. Makes you wonder. jmo

Someone upthread said that the PA knows what is under seal, just noone out side of the PA, DA and judge. Was Nurmi under the impression that Juan would just sit there and take these accusations and not defend against them? I think it's all a part to delay, delay, delay because he knows this is a BS attempt for a mistrial. jmo

Hmm. Doesn't sound right to me. I thought I heard Juan say that they (prosecutors) didn't know what today's hearing was going to be about.

I agree 100%, and could not have said it any better. Thank you, Lotus. :)

:seeya: You weren't here that last short day of testimony when the prosecutor rested! And I've been gone since then. Hope we're on the same schedule for this next phase...it's gonna be a bumpy ride with this defense! :what:

I hope I'm posting this correctly..I'm new and learning my way around still..

Jodi was totally Smirky McSmirkytons today! I noticed that too at the defense table!

Ha, I love that! Great post an welcome!:welcome::welcome::welcome::welcome::welcome::welcome::welcome:

Chis is the one who called Juan. Juan had no idea what GS was going to say but obviously Chris did. jmo

I believe it was clarified to say that Chris returned the call from Juan's office. I understood the testimony to mean that Juan's office made the original (recent) call to Chris. Juan even made the point of that.

And something must have been leaked to him (Juan) or headed him (Juan) in the right direction, because of all the possibilities, how would he (Juan) boil it down to "it's probably going to be all about Gus and I better have Chris get down here from Utah". Something must have given Juan a heads-up.

This is not Juan's first rodeo. I just imagine he has had this figured out for a long while. Don't underestimate this man.

Actually, as a male over the age of 18, Travis was a "Priesthood Holder", which IS a position of leadership in the Mormon church.
I thought I heard some Mormon say any boy over the age of 12 can be a Priesthood Holder.:waitasec::waitasec::waitasec:

There's the ignore feature, but if other people quote them, you'll still see what they post. There will always be murder groupies and people who defend them, barf barf.

That little hiccup on the ignore feature is funny. And by funny I mean annoying, lol.

Murder groupies are also annoying. And by annoying I mean baffling and twisted.

Yahoo, so I guess it's not the right one.

Yahoo is not a browser but perhaps you are using Internet Explorer. Go to your menu at the top and click on Help and then About. There you can find out the name and version of your browser.

I have never heard that TA trashed her in front of his friends. Nor did he report her for stalking. It was his friends who spoke among themselves and tried to convince TA she was not right for him. I have yet to see where his friends say he admitted to having sex with her of any kind. It appears they just presumed it was happening because of the way Jodi acted towards him in public. This is what I have heard up to this point. But if you have a link with what you are stating as fact I'd will indeed read it. Thanks. jmo

In Detective Flores supplemental report he relates through Travis' roommate Zach that Travis appeared to genuinely care for and want to help Jodi. I found that interesting - and it lends even more weight to what many friends and family have said and speculated.

Sex or no sex it seems he was a good, caring, decent human being by almost all accounts...except the defendant's.

Hmm. Doesn't sound right to me. I thought I heard Juan say that they (prosecutors) didn't know what today's hearing was going to be about.

From what I've heard so far it seems to me that defense did not want to see CH on the stand and that may be why they wanted it under seal and could have asked the judge not to include Martinez. If this is what happened I'm surprised at the judge but she did not look happy at all from the last video I saw. To me if there is nothing to hide why hide it. jmo

Great point. As Juan pointed out with the last prosecution witness, JA's friend did NOT really know her that well between those sex shots and oh yeah, the picture of her dragging his bloody body across his bathroom floor.

Nothing like stealing your grandpa's gun, renting a car, driving a few thousand miles, dying your hair, having sex to disarm a guy (surefire way, IMO), calling friends then shutting off your phone to create alibi, leaving voicemail for your deceased murder victim, checking his voicemail, going to Chili's with friends after murder, and grinding on another Mormon man after murder to keep consistent with that sweet, soft-spoken, woe-is-me, victimized, abused character.

Can't wait to hear the "expert" make up "studies and research" to explain how THAT all makes sense.

since she's admitted to killing him and is making the claim of self defense, i can't wait to hear her explain leaving him a chatty message on his phone inviting him to a play several hours after she knew he was dead in his shower stall where she left him.

that should be entertaining!

I agree. What on earth is going on that the DT or judge will not say who the female wit is??
Won't that just cause Juan to call another rebuttal, and so on and so on? Why not just handle this above board??

In reading the past few pages of posts, I get the feeling that there might be a troll or more trying to stir the pot here.

I'm not going to respond, nor rehash any prior ridiculous arguments. Is there any way to block a specific poster here? Just curious, and TIA! :)

Ya think? I'm looking for chewing gum to relieve some tension. It really doesn't matter if Travis liked it between her toes, as long as they both were OK with it. Jodi was OK with the slaughter. Travis didn't have a voice or choice in the matter.

I might drag my hubble bubble out and try something nice.

But I find it interesting that, while not knowing the misconduct allegation, Juan was READY WITH HIS OWN WITNESSES. That makes me think Juan knew perfectly well what the issue was (and obviously he did).

That's what I was trying to say but you are so much more articulate.

The judge doesn't seem to be very engaged. It feels like she's going through the motions and wishes they would be done because she's already at the outcome and these details are inconvenient. I know I'm reading a lot into her demeanor, but I have not seen a judge be so detached from the proceedings.

I completely agree. I have made the same observations. She gives instructions to witnesses as they have one foot out the door after she is reminded by one of the attorneys. Sloppy, sloppy, careless, disengaged, bored, sloppy. Can you imagine anything of this type from Judge Belvin Perry? Yikes, and heavens no.

And...better yet, the play was Othello, which is about a murder!

With this judge it is hard to tell. She often looks unhappy. jmo

I'm just surprised that we haven't heard anything of them publically ex-communicating her! She's committed the biggest sins in Mormonism!!!

I think both are by now excommunicated just on the basis of premarital sex. I don't know whether the church is known for making public announcements like this.

and  ohay dear friend!
