I don't know that the truth is easily discernible. I was surprised when Nurmi claimed one was ruled as 'probable' in connection to Travis writing it. There were ten in total.Just listening to the Chris Hughes portion of testimony from this morning. I would really like to know the truth about those letters that were ruled inadmissible. I understand Chris' disdain for Nurmi now.
The letters first appear in June 2010 and the ruling regarding them is August 15, 2011. It was apparently the prosecutor who stated the letters were forgeries but the judge never stated that for the record available via minutes - she simply ruled in favor of the State to preclude - in the same hearing the defense handwriting expert Rosemarie Urbanski testified.
