Love Juan, and love the way he treated Lisa. He gave her an opportunity to say out loud that she said things in the break up letter that were unfair to Travis -- because she was angry at the time and immature. I think that is so valuable, not just for purposes of this trial, but for Lisa and the guilt and regret she must have experienced since Travis' death. Very poignant, powerful moment.

Yes, and even more important to me is that it showed the jury that the defense was trying to take things out of context. Now, the jury will be on guard for any more defense tactics like this.

Also, I saw up thread someone mentioned "orgasming like a twelve year old girl". Where on earth did tthat come in and why.

Thank you!

I truly want to watch her in action again!
When she was being interviewed by LE I was amazed! When she did her jailhouse interview I was amazed! I want to see her do all that again!
Then let JM get her to do it some more!!! Kwim?

Me too!! I'm hoping to see some of her infamous "jailbird stretching"!!! Perhaps a casual stretch on the way to be sworn in, a little more when she takes the stand, and perhaps if we are lucky, some more during sidebars and recesses!!!!

And then there's the other side of that coin. What about the jurors who must live with the knowledge that they've freed a murderer who will likely kill again because they didn't take their responsibilities seriously enough?

Are they, in effect, sentencing future victims to death at the hands of the killer on which they 'go light' this time?

I.e., the one opportunity to stop the killer and they take a pass in order to temporarily ease their own consciences?

Say it ain't so...

My Day in Court Part 2:

So...the deputy on and off all afternoon kept coming out saying "I'm trying to find you girls two seats". And then after the break he pulled us in (just as I was talking to my friend Michael Keifer, a journalist covering this for the local paper and he was trying to get me a way to get in). We didn't sit together (ironically her name is katie!) but we both got in.

The environment in there is so freaking intense I can't tell you. I felt my anxiety level go up the minute I sat down. It is such an intense vibe in there. Saw Lisa for like one second of testimony and all the other final witnesses for the day.

I made a bunch of notes so here goes:

The size of the courtroom is like a huge ballroom you might find yourself in for a big wedding reception. I can't impress how LARGE it is. Jodi is WAY far away from the jury. I could barely see her today with my view.

The jury is attentive, many taking notes. I'm fixated on this one female juror in the front, 30 something, tri color hair, she's paying such detailed attention. I keep thinking she could be foreperson. She's WAY in to everything.

Tanisha's husband holds his arm around her waist every time she stands. Looks like he's literally holding her up. good man. He looks much younger in person than on tv.

On Jane Valez Mitchell yesterday an older female friend of Travis was on as a guest. I met her today When the younger sister Desiree 's name was called as a witness, she sharply turned around looking at the person behind her with a long long WTF type stare.

All of Travis ' family are in suits and dresses. Very dressed up.

Nurmi takes forever to get to a point.

I once again talked to their Victim Advocate and she handed me her card saying "tell them tomorow you're with me and you can get in". :great: It was after I asked her if she'd slip a card to the family for me tomorrow. Which I will do. And I will mention the WS community on my card to just so you know.

At the end of court, Juan walked up to the family, checked in with them, he said "are we good?" and they nodded. I'm glad I saw that.

I think that's it for now. I'm going back early tomorrow. I will get in for sure and can stay for the morning (have to work in the afternoon).

I'm thinking tomorrow will be a BIG day. Just a hunch.

Now gonna read some posts and CRASH. :seeya:

first hand reporting from an awesome ws'r - and a hi speed chase on tv :great:

I watched the link that Tigerbalm gave us and started transcribing but i got tired! Anyhow, it perfectly explains how Nurmi used the letter to try to impeach Chris. He failed and at a certain point, IMO the sleaze began oozing out of him. It was dirty pool playing. I had liked the defense for much of the trial. Now I am seeing what Chris Hughes saw. Sleaze.

Anyhow, anyone who still has questions about the letter, please watch the video.

I'm watching the repeat of Nancy Grace, the one question from the jury, did you ever refer to Jodi as a stalker of Travis?<<<<<< what made someone ask about that? I was having troubles with my feeds a bit while she was testifying. Did something come out about her 'stalking' during the testimony? I don't remember seeing this.

Thank you!

That is supposedly suggested in the recorded phone conversation the DT is planning to play during a "phone sex" escapade between T and JA.
I'm afraid I still do not understand how the tape is legal.

Right? That is what I've been trying to say.

Great post and insights about the transparent and dishonest ploys of Jodi and the Defense team.. the character assassination of Travis. As a result of this tactic and Jodi apologists, I've witnessed others feel the need to state some obligatory insults/comments about this young man, who will never be able to defend himself.
IMO, Jodi is poison, and was poison to Travis. She KNEW that Travis valued chastity, and she disrespected his convictions, helping him to a spiral of cognitive dissonance, shame and vulnerability. Friends don't do that to each other. Yes, I get that he could have said "no".. in the beginning.
Also, it is assumed that Travis took the graphic (up close) pics of Jodi, yet Jodi is the self-portrait queen. Otherwise, I *might* see that if Travis was fed-up w/ Jodi and her obsessive tactics, including overly assertive sexuality, perhaps body-parts pics might be a snarky statement by an exasperated Travis.

We are so privileged to have you here sharing your expertise! Thank you gitana1....you're awesome! :)

A random comment. Several times it has been mentioned that Jodi's chair (like Casey Anthony's chair) has been adjusted to make her appear smaller than she is-- more delicate, petite, childlike, vulnerable, etc. And smaller than her female attorney Wilmott.

I just watched one of the videos from today, and Jodi is standing next to Wilmott when the jury is dismissed. She appears to be at least 4" to 6" taller than Attorney Wilmott! And I think it is possible that Wilmott has on at least a bit of a heel with her suits. I doubt JA is in heels.

Jodi's driver license says she is 5'6".

Games people play.

Assuming the case to be that the FBI ruled the entire set of letters fraudulent, not only did Nurmi lie to Sky initially, telling her they were authentic, but lied AGAIN during the PA MisConduct procedure.
Slither.

Respectfully snipped, and BBM.

First, Welcome!

And I totally agree. I think Jodi composed her own self portraits of her nether regions. (The eye searing ones.) Not to be indelicate, but there is intentional lighting in those pics, I think.

And interestingly, we have NOT heard that TA kept any trophy shots of JA's nether regions on his computers. I have to think that if there was anything like that on his computers, we would have heard about it by now from the defense team. That doesn't "prove" he didn't take the pics, but my instinct says a guy who was enthusiastic, and encouraged to take "those" kinds of pics might just keep one (or more) around as a souvenir.

That could be why JA fought so hard to keep the contents of her computer examination sealed. (found in court minutes)

Oh just one last thought. I heard Nancy Grace came in to court for just a very few minutes at the end of the day then popped back out. I missed her (please no rotten tomatoes...I will always love Nancy for personal reasons). I saw her though in her "studio" and took a picture of her from the back through the big picture window on the truck. :seeya:

Nitenite all...

PS. Thanks to all of you for caring I went to court today and "being there" with me. As much as this interests me, it also takes a lot out of me emotionally and energy wise. So it's good when you make me feel like it's a worthwhile endeavor. lots of love....

I almost forgot -- Not only was she there, she said Jodi is, and I quote, "GORGEOUS"....she didn't really sound like she was kidding...dun dun duuuuunnnnn! Did JA make eye-contact with NG and cast her infamous spell?!?! YIKES!!
