Hey Annie. That wine sounds great. I have enjoyed our posts. Where to next?

Hi cody!! This is a very special vintage Pinotage. Half now and we'll cork the last 2 glasses for Jason Young's trial (Michelle Young thread here on W/S - you got to join us!!).

That trial may or may not clash with Vincent Tabak, alledged murderer of Joanna Yeates, Bristol, UK. I'm as adamant over their guilt as I have been over Bradly Cooper's guilt.

Thrilled with tonight's news! Was almost scared it may be a hung jury. THANK GOD logic prevailed!

You ready for a glass now? Be my guest .... It's at perfect room temp; goes down like silk and worth every bit the celebration :)

The fact that several people on here were able to come up with at least 3 reasonable scenarios down to motive, means and opportunity based solely on the information that was presented in court means that CPD did not do enough to properly investigate leads.

If you critically review those scenarios and look at the case history you will see they are not plausible, and in some cases not possible. If it were otherwise, Cooper's defense, which adopted a scorched earth tactic of blaming the police and the FBI of planting evidence, would have pointed directly at those others. They had no one to protect except their client.

Check out some of the evidence which came out during the pre-trial hearings. Those whom the defense alluded to as potential suspects had air-tight alibis showing where they were at all times related to the murder. That leaves only strangers in a van, and if it were strangers in a van, they must have been computer wizards the like of which the world has never seen, pre-planning a random murder of a Cary housewife for nothing, not even her earrings.

That is why the defense never went there. It was demonstrably false and would make the defense look foolish.

It doesn't take knowing people who are murdered to have your emotions wrap around them. This has been a long road for the Coopers and the Rentz's along with the defense and state. Cummings was very emotional when hugged by Mrs. Rentz and I can only imagine what she was saying to him.

I sat up and off the fence so often I was dizzy but today I finally went to the G side but wasn't going to be surprised or ticked off if it came back NG. There was so much CE and these jurors took their time and studied this case and their notes. I am proud of our justice system. God bless all of you for your theories, argument of evidence and the companionship during a grueling process. RIP Nancy and God Bless America.

What a serious miscarriage of justice. I have lost all faith in our society and people to follow the law as its intended. I am ashamed of what our country has become. With that--I will not comment again, and will not follow another trial. I hope Gessner realizes that his bias is putting an innocent man in prison.

Dear WolfpackWoman

Gessner is not biased and American justice ruled supreme here. The logic sprang out. Faith and society believe in a real justice system and I, more than anyone funnily enough, believe that the USA has the best, strongest and tightest justice system in the world. There is little room for corruption, terrorism, deception or failure.

The many inconsistencies and illogical actions screamed out in this case. Brad's lies were more than all too apparent. His alibi and time-line failed dismally - mainly because there are never coincidences in a murder - and BC had way too many of them. Personally, I believe this emotionally charged trial garnered a clan with an inbred desire to get back at LE (for whatever reason) as opposed to seeing true facts & justice.

All of this is my opinion and I've long said I could never sit on this jury. BC has received his verdict. What he did was heinous.

You'll be missed in future trials here, tho. Go well ....

Did anyone else notice that WRAL broadcast the jurors waiting for the deputies to escort them out?

I thought that was extremely inappropriate. The jurors were behind a gate, but you could still see them clearly enough.

I don't blame them for asking for the escort. If I were on that jury, regardless of the verdict, I'd want to avoid those salivating reporters, too. Especially one in particular.

Obviously all these jurors wanted their privacy for now at least. I certainly respect that. Too bad WRAL does not.

You are entitled to your opinion and thank you for sharing it. I disagree. Keep in mind I didn't say somebody else did it. I said there are enough loose ends that shouldn't have been left untied.

Wow! I have never doubted BC was guilty, but based on what was presented at trial, I did not believe the jury would find him guilty. Can't wait to hear what convinced them!

ADA's addressed on wral.com their thoughts of what it was. The deciding factor and other factors, but it is their gut feeling. I'd say maybe tonight it will be discussed again?

Yes, I caught that, too. They really shouldn't have done that.

Hi momto3kids - My impression from the ADA interviews was that they expressed confidence in their verdict based on exactly what the "clique" (as dubbed by the defense) wanted LE to hear.

I thought the 1st thing they stated when AL asked them, was they felt the "google" map.

That was Boz, giddy over Google. Cummings sort of cut him off and gave a much more subdued explanation pointing out BC's actions.

No they shouldn't have. I was just reading some comments on GOLO, and the vitriol is frightening and misogynistic. I hope not a one of them speaks to the media. I hope they all go home and go out to dinner with their husbands or wives, have a glass of wine, and get a good night's sleep. Bless 'em for hanging in there and doing the right thing.
