Clearly I do not understand the general problem with having this thread or trying to sleuth out the family members of the one person that Law Enforcement label as having inconsistent stories? Why aren't people thrilled that LE is going to great lengths to question ANY PERSON that may have information in this case. Where am I?....lol. I am happy when I wake up in the morning and see a new thread that I can open up that might contain news. This is about finding Haleigh Cummings.....please let's find Haleigh and not complain when new avenues are ventured down.

I was a little confused by all the nitpicking so can I ask please if we have any other news link that I could read about this trip? Am I to understand that people with questions are being asked to refer those questions to the DA's office? Thank you in Advance....

I wish we could have a thread on everyone from both sides and some. I have a few I have been saving for when and if the names come up..I just feel that it does not hurt to check things out, sometimes what one might not find someone else will.

As for the news article, the sky has an article as well but it says pretty much the same.
Haleigh Update: Mass. Couple Questioned

IF the two questioned were T/C Croslin, then I think it is great that they cooperated with the investigators and went over information with them. The article doesn't say that they were forced to go in, or that they brought attorneys with them. Just like Tommy and Lindsy, who went in to speak with investigators, and then LE said they were very helpful and cooperative, and that they had no further interest in them, I am sure that must be the case with these new interviews. I think that these discussion with the Croslins are going to be very helpful to LE in filling in the info. about the fight on the night of the 9th, the whole "weekend before" incident, and any and all other information that they probably have on the atmosphere between RC and Misty and their home in general. I think it is logical to assume that even if they don't have any direct knowledge of when or how Haleigh disappeared, that they certainly must know something about what the situation with Misty was that evening, the interactions between Misty and Haleigh and Ron, and many other small bits of info. that could prove quite helpful to LE.

And LE wouldn't have statements from them taken back on Feb. 10th or soon after?! If that was all they needed from them...why didn't they just pick up the phone and call them?

Snip" Cape Cod Times
Updated: September 06, 2009
Deputies from a Florida sheriff's office questioned the local couple yesterday afternoon at the South Yarmouth state police barracks in relation to the Feb. 10 disappearance of Haleigh Cummings, state police Sgt. Robert Finacom said. He referred all other questions to Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O'Keefe. The case has received national attention, but there have been no arrests. http://www.capecodonline.com/apps/pb...NEWS/909060323

That makes it sound even more serious to me then just the trip up here unless it is standard procedure?

SS..I knew exactly what you meant too & am honestly surprised at the uproar it caused :waitasec:

As I sit here and wait for some news update on this couple I have been thinking. Maybe since there is a new LE on the case they are starting from scratch and asking there own questions to everyone on both sides. I wonder who will be next. Maybe they have other question's that the other LE didn't ask and a different style. I do find the truck to be a piece of the puzzle "IMO".
As for the Mass. Couple Questioned
It still has me puzzled that the article states that Sgt. Robert Finacom said, He referred all other questions to Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O'Keefe.:waitasec: Is this normal procedure? Does anyone know? Please and thank you in advance :blowkiss:

bbm, I hope so

It was brought up on another thread that it is the way the police departments are set up in MA. They don't do county LE and instead have State Police which work under the DA's office. Maybe it is the case and why the questions are referred to them.

p.s., how is it people on a message board know that someone they've never met had a C-section???????

What people find out about others is astounding!!!!!

Guess the same way people seem to know "stuff" in the rumor thread. ;)

I think the new investigators probably prefer doing one on one interviews with everyone. I sure support that. It seems to me they are trying to be very thorough. I wonder if the questions were referred to the DA to leave the new investigators free and to control information. It seems to me for the first time all information is being kept close to the vest. I suspect there are many contacts with the Satsuma LE that are trying to be cut off just for security and to limit leaks. Did that make sense? My opinion only

Sorry SS. I did not see your response before I posted.

It should stay there......I would be freaking out if I were Chelsea, having people know the details of her child's birth, the time she left the hospital, and the time when she moved to MA (if she actually has). Some of this is scary. And invasive. Why does anyone need to know this about someone???

New article. Pretty much the same:

Local couple questioned in case of missing girl

SOUTH YARMOUTH, Mass. -- Florida authorities have interviewed a couple in New England about the disappearance of Florida 6-year-old Haleigh Cummings, according to the Cape Cod Times.

Police say they will not comment on what is an ongoing investigation.

Thanks for posting this new link, it has a video report as well and like you stated above, pretty hush hush and same info. Thanks again :blowkiss:

Ok I just read the articles. Do we know for sure it it T/C Croslin they are talking to? I missed how that was determined?:truce:

I think it is huge that deputies went there to possibly question them!! Great news! This coming off the heels of Tommy and Lindsay's interviews.

In order for deputies to travel that far, they would have to put in for special request to get the money and the okay to go. IMO, it wasn't easy for them to pack up and head to the Cape. They must have a substantial reason to submit which warrants the request.

OR... they could have been given a directive by their superiors to go and talk to whoever these people are. And it might not be Timmy and Chelsea... could be someone else. I don't know who requested it but it's certainly not unusual, so don't get too excited... sometimes they're sent out of state just to talk to witnesses, it's done all the time. No big deal... it's just easier to get statements in person than it is on the phone. My son and his partner were sent all the way to south Tx. just to observe a POI at a funeral.

lol..I was wondering that myself! I guess I *assumed* that it was them, but as my dear daddy used to say about assuming:crazy:......Perhaps I should read back more when I have a chance! :)

Nah, it started as an assumption based on a C-section and an alleged move by the T. Croslin family to a place that Chelsea is from.....still no official confirmation (nor does it seem likely to be one) that it is them.

I personally don't doubt it is; I just am shocked and appalled that people know stuff that should have been protected by law regarding the birth of their latest child.

Children should remain protected IMO unless it is relevant to the crime. Since we do not know what crime was committed, or even if it was Tim and Chelsea....the birth of the child should be off limits IMO.
