May the truth be shouted from the roof tops! It makes me sick worrying they may be with some bad person right now. Praying we find the answers!
I'm afraid that someone who wanted them for some nefarious reason took the children. Since they didn't live close to the main road, my suspicion is that the perp knew the family. I don't believe the person(s) had the intention of killing the children. Otherwise, why set a fire to cover up the grandparents' mode of death and then take the children elsewhere to kill them?

All I can hope is that the perp(s) is/are not otherwise harming Gage and Chloie. My suspicions at the beginning were that someone wanted custody of the children, or simply didn't want the grandparents to have custody of them. It appears the parents have been ruled out, but I wonder if another, more distant family member begrudged the grandparents for being awarded custody. I hope there is more going on in the investigation than is being released to MSM, but surely someone in the family has an idea who would do this, so why is it taking so long?

Looks like theyre planning a search on April 6th.

I've also wondered whether, if the grandparents thought they were going to lose custody to somebody unsuitable, or were afraid they couldn't care for the kids properly due to age/health, would they have sent the kids to a person they did trust, and then ended it for themselves?

IMO, I think the g'parents would've taken the custody case to the courts before doing something like that. If they were about to lose custody on account of their age and/or health, I would think they would have some influence in determining who would be awarded custody of the children, as would the parents and it seems the parents trusted and fully supported the g'parents. Surely, the g'parents could've foreseen the turmoil resulting from such a scheme. If they gave unofficial custody of the children to close family members, those family members would have to go into hiding with the children which would rouse the suspicions of other family members. :twocents:

IMO, if the children were taken by family members (which I'd prefer to think as opposed to the alternative), I think they're distant family members who didn't maintain contact with other family members even before the fire and the children's disappearance - sort of recluses, who may live in another state and had a grudge against the g'parents. Or, maybe the g'parents were arranging to place the children with someone else and another family member fiercely disapproved. :moo:

There are so many possibilities.

Chloie and Gage...
Six months missing...
Always in thought. Always in prayer. God bless you, little children.

Does anyone think this case could be related? It is about an hour's drive from Unionville, TN. I was thinking IF they are related it's possible the victim, Connie Lou Brown, may have known too much? Probably unrelated but thought I would post it here due to the locations being about an hour a part and both cases dealing with fire.

Identified! TN - Burned Woman - Summitville Cave, Coffee County, - Connie Lou Brown - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

LE has arrested a man for the murder of Connie Lou Brown. He was wearing a GPS device that showed he had been to the site of her body twice. The article did not explain how they happened upon this man.
I wonder if they will check the device to see if he could be involved in this case since both involved fire?

Well...then I guess we're both (...) ! I believe theyre alive too !!
I just wish someone would go look for them

The disappearance of these two children baffles me beyond words. They did not die in the fire, as evidenced by their remains not being located. A witness saw them playing outside hours before the fire broke out. And, there was so much accelerant found in the home.

I am leaning towards kidnapping, arson, and murder of the grandparents. Either the perp knew the accelerant was there or somehow managed to bring it all in-- which doesn't make sense. Which leads me to think that it was someone who knew the family well- either a friend or a relative.

I firmly believe they are alive- I sincerely hope they are well, but if they are living with a person who could murder two people and set fire to their home, I really doubt that they are.

What motive could this person have to do such a thing? Clearly not for the financial gain of a ransom or reward money. So it must be power.

MOO, of course.

Bedford siblings remain unaccounted for 7 months after fatal fire

"When you have a cause of death that's undetermined, a fire that's undetermined and two children who weren't found in the fire, but yet haven't been located anywhere else, anything is possible for this case," TBI spokesperson Kristin Helm said.
She also said that she believes it is a case of murder.

""It's murder. I don't care what anybody else says. Like I said, if they don't like me saying it on TV I hate that for them," Frame said.

Her husband, Larry, agrees.

"Here's the problem. If it's not a murder investigation, if it's not, then why aren't you giving us answer?" he questioned.

Thanks, Crimson Clover! This article does explain a lot, and to me gives more credence that the kids may have perished in the fire.

The most amazing, informative article...

Shedding light upon the infamous propane tanks...
Wishing I could copy & paste it all!

An undetermined cause of fire...and still hoping, praying...regardless should lil Chloie and Gage have perished in it, leaving no trace WHATSOEVER...or...

May their story find closure one day. Soon. Very soon.

:(

From your link...

Leon McClaran had once worked for a propane company and collected castoff tanks when he came across them, Boyce said. After the fire, investigators found evidence that 35-38 propane tanks were stored in the basement, some still holding fuel, Boyce continued.

An open door in the basement acted as a draft, sucking air and heat from the fire up to the children’s bedroom, directly above, Boyce said.

The fire was so intense that when it was finally brought under control, not one wall was left standing, the sheriff said.

(Best article I've ever seen about this case and sheds so much light on the situation.)

Bedford County Sheriff Randall Boyce said his investigators think the fire was accidental.

“Molli was on oxygen, was taking morphine for cancer and smoked in bed constantly,” Boyce said. “Plus that, it was a cool night and they had several space heaters through there.”

Boyce said the couple were hoarders, with uncountable items filling their home — both in the basement and above — making it difficult to walk through the rooms. One of their basement collections was significant.

These two facts alone change my perspective completely. We have been speculating for months how the fire started and also where the propane tanks could have come from (whether they were collected or placed there intentionally to aid the fire, etc).

I'm 90% convinced now that both of them perished in the fire. Read the article to hear see how how hot the fire blazed, why bodies were found in the basement, and how small children's remains would have turned to ash completely.

From the same article, though (in fact, right after the chatty sheriff said Molli was on oxygen, smoked in bed and took morphine):

Thomas [the fire chief] said investigators discovered no evidence that oxygen had been used in the home.

If one removes the statements from Boyce, including doubling the propane tanks originally reported and note that he is the one who says they hoarded etc, what do we have that is any different? And if the fire chief is saying there was no evidence of oxygen (meaning no tank?)....and none of the various agencies have found even a smidge of remains and all of them admit they should have, no matter how hot the fire burned? I dunno....

If I was the cynical sort, I'd think the sheriff just wants to stop the speculation without having any actual information or evidence to stop the speculation.

I'm still dubious at best. What a terrible situation. :(

It is unfortunate the cause of fire has been ruled 'undetermined'. It happens. I would love to get my hands on the official report.

Believe everything. Then, believe nothing. I'm old enough to live by that motto.

The article was written by a reporter for The Daily Herald. He did his job. I like that. Fire Chief Thomas states opinion. He has the right. (I'd appreciate the State Fire Marshal's opinion). Dr. Spitz, the forensic pathologist questioned (with qualifications comin out the wazoo)...states his opinion. Sheriff Boyce is all out with comment and opinion (Mrs. Mollie, oxygen tanks, smoking in bed, hoarding, 35-38 propane tanks...). Contradictory at times. " But there’s absolutely no evidence whatever that they’re anywhere but in that house." And little ole me says..."But there's absolutely no evidence whatever that they're anywhere but NOT in that house."

I've hugged these children in thought since their disappearance, and without the 'hard evidence' required by LE to close their inquiries...I remain hard, doubtful.
Were there confirmation of their little remains found...I justify in my head that death fell quick, and it was best. And over.

I look forward to the family's response to the allegations of this new report.
