Raven, that was their home in Louisville, KY. The summer/lake house is in Wetumpka, AL and only around 2100 sf.

I can't remember the article that I (think) I read, Matt was with his mother, when Gail dropped the kids off? If this information is correct (?) has Matt's mother made a statement? ( to anyone?)

Heck, am I the only one getting lost in all the posts? I sure could use a summary, so I'm re-posting the one I did earlier, plus all the links that have been posted to media stories. Several of these links have been posted over and over, which actually makes it appear this story has had more news coverage than it has.

April 22: First 911 call—dispute regarding travel in vehicles to lake house. Article says this is first of “at least three visits” during the next 10 days. Where is one between 22nd and 29th?

April 23: Date Mr. P. claims in court document (filed later) that Mrs. P. took valuables from house.

April 27: Day of unprecedented tornados. Signal was for the most part spared.

April 28-29: School was closed locally for damage clean-up.

April 29: 911 call—given numbers for safe place to stay. Resolved when “Matthew Palmgren agreed to stay at 40 Ridge Rock Drive and let Gail Palmgren take their two children…to their lake house in Alabama for the night,” according to police report

April 30: She brought children home and then disappeared (around 12:15, according to neighbors)
April 30: Date of change of address form, according to Mr. P.

May 2: Mrs. P. sister begins (shortly after noon—at Wal-mart at foot of Signal) to distribute fliers regarding her disappearance.
May 2: Mr. P. reported her as missing
May 2: Last cell phone “ping” at Wal-Mart at foot of Signal

May 6: Mr. P. interviewed by Times Free Press by telephone. Says she has disappeared before, has psychiatric issues, and usually “just goes somewhere and decompresses but stays in contact with the kids.”
May 6(?): Family friend handing out fliers; interviewed by Times Free Press. She says she thinks Mrs. P. is scared; dismisses Mr. P. claims of “psychiatric issues.”
May 6(?): Mr. P. filed Chancery Court papers for legal separation: restraining order, custody, possession of home. Claims she has “bouts of depression” and is “delusional.” (claims Mrs. P. family, friends, and police dismiss)

May 8: Mother's Day

May 9: More than 2500 fliers have been distributed by her siblings and neighbors (wrcbtv.com article)

Wow JB, what a plethora, TY! I missed a couple like Lexis. Now I get it, and so should others...! If WE can, they can.

At this point in the program I concur. But it is also some of his behaviors that have turned the attention on him. I am trying to give this guy every benefit as this must be a hard time for him on many levels.

In reality, the only problem I have with the dh is that he did not make any plea for her safe return and he rushed to court. In theory he has no idea what happened to her and even he said this was unusual behavior for her to leave and not contact the kids. I can understand that their marriage was most likely not salveagable, but still and all filing papers and making no plea for her to return is unusual at best.

Agree JBean...and I'm no statement analysis specialist, but his statements so far point to "me first". imo. And that is just his statements w/o the obvious actions...or non-actions.

I'm betting if the children did make statements it will be kept from the records in both the custody and her investigation. Sounds like he has a good attorney..whether civil or criminal at this point. IMO!

Well, we are talking about children who are probably scared for their mom AND for their dad, plus they are both minors (not sure how that plays into them being questioned and their answers being broadcast by the media, but it may)

Even Barney Fife would know to have questioned the kids, so I would think that the LE has done so. The media hasn't figured out how to get the info yet. They will, not matter the consequences to the kids, Matt, Gail, anyone, but it seems to be taking them a while.

I'm sorry confused, but the consequences for Gail and kids right now don't look too promising....for years to come. I would include Matt, but a little upset there is no plea coming from him for the mother of his children return. Where's the concern and compassion for the children's loss? It's ok for their father not to show any emotion over this? He apparently showed emotion in front of them when in disagreement with Gail. Even he stated she would normally contact the children before....something is different this time. ??? Whether she is stressed to the point of frazzle or decided to escape her present life...she still needs to be found and the children need to know. Blame and rebuilding can begin afterwards. Divorce and separation are bad enough, but they have no idea where their mother is and their whole life turned topsy turvy; and now they are separated from their father. I pray to G he is in touch with them daily instead of his attorney(s). JMO

Look under photo....they are saying "her" jeep has it.

That is a mistake. That is not her car, it has different wheels. I posted that picture early in the thread and I got it by just googling 4 door red rubicon. Maybe it was picked up as her car and posted, but it is not her car. That is what sleuthy1 was pointing out.

You know what? Maybe they were originally going to Wetumpka just to check on their property. It turns out that a tornado touched down there.

Thursday, April 28, Death Toll Rises to 6 in Elmore County

The death toll in Elmore County increased by one when the missing person Elmore County Sheriff's deputies were looking for was found dead, according to Elmore County Sheriff Bill Franklin.

Six people have died from a line of storms which ripped through the northeastern part of Elmore County Wednesday night.

...The line of storms stretched from Wetumpka up to Kowaliga. Some eye-witnesses estimated the storms cut a damage path at least a half-mile wide.

Now it's possible they weren't aware of all that when they decided to go to the Lake House. Most of the CNN coverage focused on Tuscaloosa (although I didn't watch anything because my own power was still off on those days).

But with damage like that so widespread all over eastern Alabama, I wonder if they even had power when they got there? That might be why she and the kids only stayed one night.

911 calls, Gail's leaving for, and returning from, the lake house,
and her last cell phone ping which is listed as on May 2
(highly suspicious as this is 2 days after she was last seen)
what about cell phone pings, or calls, on April 30/May 1?

I would almost be tempted to buy a decent laser printer
for a volume job like this.

not sure what copies are costing, but know they aren't cheap
hopefully there's a missing person organization with a hefty printer
that can help you; or a compassionate local printer.
