Wouldn't they say a ring instead of promise ring unless they are aware the boyfriend gave her a promise ring?

Or aware from her parents that she had one of the promise rings that girls wear when they vow to remain chaste until marriage.

Well, since you don't have to be schooled about anything in this case, perhaps you could lead us to an authorized LE timeline. I have certainly never seen one in the 2 years and 5 days I have been here on Holly's case. Maybe I overlooked it.

That was my point. Because we havent been given an official timeline, it is moot to say things like "timelines are not adding up" because there is no valid timeline to add up or not.

Anyway...goodnight...:) I hope we wake up tomorrow to some positive news.

Promise ring in her purse... either she removed it, maybe trouble
With the bf??? Or someone else removed it and placed it in her purse.
I wonder whats on the camera? Did.she not have a wallet or debit
Card? Obviously wed know if it had been used.

Do the bobos have a carport, garage or both? How many cars does it store?
The blood in the garage, was it ever confirmed to be hollys blood,or animal blood?

Simply stated..people react differently to circumstances. People who have never lived in a tiny southern town do not have the first clue about what the "normal" thing would be to do in a case like this. I would bet that a majority of people in small towns like this dont watch the sensationalization of every missing person out there that is shown like a crime drama on the news stations out there. Many of them believe (rightly or wrongly) LE and what they tell them. They believe that if they do as they do what they are told that their loved one will be found. As well, many people who live in these towns do so out of choice and do not wish to integrate into big city life. They are private folk and the thought that if they got on TV for the country to see them in their depths of grief, it might be too much for them. This would be true especially if LE was telling them not to.

Please remember that we are all not the same in the way we deal with the simplest things...much less when we are under trauma.

I think this is an over-generalization. I am from small-town south. We are not all the same for sure. People live by their scanners here....everyone knows everyone or someone they are related to. They follow scandals tirelessly and don't believe a thing they're told.

Its Holly's....her dad slipped up and admitted that in an interview.

I remember somebody posting a theory involving the now deceased serial killer israel keyes. Has anyone looked in to this at all? The type of abduction matches his style, and he would bury items that belonged to the individual along with murder weapons in some sort of container in the ground. Maybe after a couple years a dog smelled something and dug it up?? The timeline involving his travels on fbi.gov places him in that general area close to the same time, although not exactly.

The times that we do know of do not add up. That is what I am saying. We don't have any of the 911 calls listed...but we do know when Holly was seen going into the woods. That's when Clint was on the phone with Karen. It was 7:50 AM. She instructed him to get his gun and get out there. She hung up, got a ride from someone, and made it home by 8:05....as did LE and half the neighborhood.

I would hope an official timeline would include the various 911 calls....that would be so helpful.

A news release sent by Without Warning on Wednesday said that Bobo was believed to be carrying several items when she was abducted: A Samsung cell phone, a thick hardcover book and binder, a white soft-sided lunch bag, a keychain with several keys including a Ford door opener and a large rhinestone “H,” and a pink purse.

The purse contained the following items: A blue Olympus camera, a crocodile black patent leather wallet with her driver’s license, school ID and at least $20 in cash, a small bottle of bath and body lotion, a small hairbrush, a pink and a brown striped pencil bag.

Okay!

The newly found purse, which was found empty and turned inside out, is now in the TBI's possession.

WSMV-TV in Nashville is reporting that officials say Bobo's driver license, a camera, a promise ring, and a key chain with a big H were inside the purse.

Oh yes.....things are as clear as muddy water, just like usual! :banghead:

2nd page says

is working the case. I understand a purse has been found. Our family has cooperated with TBI and begged TBI to show us the purse but we haven't actually seen it."

The family has always expressed belief that Bobo is alive and her mother said they still think that.

"Today we are at home with our minister praying," the statement said

No arrests were ever made in the case. Officials said they didn't consider any of Bobo's relatives or her boyfriend to be involved in her disappearance.

This is the first I have heard of a promise ring, though many on this thread have asked about the jewelry Holly would normally wear.

I wonder why she wouldn't be wearing it. Interesting.

This was my first thought as well!

Okay y'all...let me play devil's advocate here for just a second. I am just curious!

Why would the fact that the purse was found so close to Holly's home point to it being someone local? If it was someone local, wouldn't it have been "smarter" for them to get rid of the bag in another location that had no chance of being traced to this case if found? I am just trying to understand why that might mean that a local could be responsible for Holly's disappearance? I would assume that profilers would have an opinion about this type of thing but I guess I am just wondering why it points to that being the case? Just wondering.

Having said all that...I have always believed it to be someone local. Just wondering how this purse being found so close in proximity supports that.

As always, praying this discovery leads to Holly! :please:

Keep in mind that some of the news we are hearing today is incorrect. An inside-out purse would not contain all that stuff. So, some reporter is not doing very well at details.

TY TY to The Cheese for all the info!

Early rumors in the MSN were that papers were found strewn on the ground. Easter,it was rumored in MSN that her cell phone was found. Only the lunchbag has been confirmired as recovered by LE. That is until today.

Thanks to The Cheese for the following posts,

We're learning more about the discovery of Holly Bobo's purse, and what's inside.

TBI investigators say a dog found her purse Wednesday. Officials used search dogs in the area on Thursday.

WSMV-TV in Nashville is reporting that officials say Bobo's driver license, a camera, a promise ring, and a key chain with a big H were inside the purse.

I think right now the only thing I'd base my op on is who lives where & where the purse was found. If it was a random perp, how coincidental would it be to place/bury Holly's purse so close to a relative's house or place or bury something in a yard so close to where she went missing?

No coincidence suspected here, Doc.
