I'm guessing her mom said it was her purse from a picture and then they actually brought the purse in person and then she realized it wasn't Holly's
I guess I'm surprised they didn't call the mom in to ID the purse in person before confirming that it is hers. I mean the source did say TBI said it was Holly's!

That would be important info! Why not release it? They released Brittanee Drexel's cell phone pings the night she disappeared

Holly's cell pings on towers see how many other cell phones pinged on same tower and what direction her cell was going in if it was not left at the carport. See if there are any calls she made or received that morning or any text messages.

I assume it was because TBI was not keeping the family abreast of what was going on in the case, or that it became obvious to the family that nothing was going on in the case, and that they then wanted someone in who could shake some action.

It could be because the family suspects people are being protected who need to be questioned and perhaps arrested, and Tennessee LE was just not going to do that.

It is not rare for LE to keep from the family what avenues are being investigated in a case of this nature. And they certainly can have good reason for not doing so.

Bash me if you must, but it almost sounds like they came up with a story to get Holly into Witness Protection. They needed something the community at large would believe. They planted their own evidence to make it look real. They realized they could give no information to the public that would reveal that this was a setup.

The fact that I just said all that shows how desperate I am becoming....

That's okay, in the Jamisons Missing case, I, too, came around to trying the "witness protection?" wardrobe on for size.

I worked (in the past) for another TN agency, who investigated with TBI, a death within our jurisdiction and I never knew what was going on even though I held and processed evidence and sought out expert testimony for our joint case. At least our department thought that it was our joint case. They had what I thought was a mountain of evidence. Didn't tell our agency anything. JMO

If only TBI's first three days didn't happen. Between the change of information regarding what Clint said about Holly's exit into the woods, and the agency director having to come down and say no one was clear when the lead agent had said Clint and Drew had been cleared....

After that, there was a dramatic drop-off in people's opinions regarding how likely TBI was to solve this case.

I think the director's a pretty sharp guy, a survivor. I was not impressed with the lead agent's performance at all.

DFJ is very cagey, calculating, deflective, manipulative, creative, and sadistic.
DFJ, was a hunter. A hunter of humans. His prey was his innocent victims..

Imo, there are too many parallels, signs, and coincidences that point to career violent felon and confessed sexual predator/killer Donnie Frank Jones(TN); abductor/murderer of nursing student Megan Sharpton(TN).

The calculated creative ruse of evil used to abduct Megan Sharpton is very telling, imo. The ruse used in Holly Bobo's abduction was also very brazen calculating and creative, imo. The time of day; DCSO change time, turkey season/camos(yet no stotgun witnessed). The immediate compliance of Holly indicates an experienced & confident predator, imo. Both victims were approximately the same age, and were TN nursing students. These indicators and parallels are no coincidence, imo.

The FBI BAU2 profilers were in Parsons, TN, for over 10 days in April 2011. They checked out the day before I checked into the hotel. Although the TBI denied it, they would have prepared a psychological behavioral profile of the unknown suspect that abducted Holly.. Imo, this profile would have fit Donnie Frank Jones like a glove... With DFJ's 23 year violent criminal background(rape/kidnapping, etc.) & geographical location to Parsons. He should have came up on TBI, FBI, or US Marshal's radar early in the investigation, imo..
My question is why didn't he? Time is critical in sexual predator investigations due to their recidivist behavior..

There appear to be many many things. Some of which I cannot discuss until we go back to court since he has recinded his plea agreement.

I'm the type of person that would have no problem going to the media saying TBI and LE are incompetent in finding or helping find my daughter! If I felt like no one was helping or doing enough I would have no problem calling someone out if my daughter god forbid went missing! The most precious thing in the world are your children!

I haven't followed this case closely,but this case sounds very interesting as far why would the TBI release a statement saying its her purse & then the mother comes out hrs later and says its not..WHY.They honestly can't think the public is that stupid to think other girls's purse is found in an remote area where a girl is missing.I mean really!
I need to go back a read some other threads on this case.I am stunned just by what happened with the purse.I can't imagine the things that have happened since the beginning.
