TN - Holly Bobo, 20, Darden, believed abducted 13 April 2011 - # 7

...The dateline on the story was April 18 . The story references the incidents on 4/7 etc -- but states in the report on the 18th "arraigned today." Holly was abducted on 4/13.

I know i dont see the date he was arrested. Was he in custody or not?

I dont feel he is the guy that took Holly.

He has arrests dateing back to 1995...

I am not up on this case but I'm wondering if LE hasn't gone back to her high school days to look at possible suspects. Like some guy that Holly turned down advances, or broke up with. Just a thought.

Have any of Holly's nursing classmates, friends or church friends mentioned any thing that would stand out as someone stalking Holly. Maybe someone acted in a way to make her feel uncomfortable? I keep running possibilities in my head and there are so many that it is hard to fixate on any particular reason for her being taken. I just keep praying for her safe return. She didn't apparently put up a huge struggle against her kidnapper if she managed to hang onto her lunch bag, etc. I think she is one smart gal and may be trying to keep the kidnapper from getting angry. In other words, she is playing along and just trying to stay alive. Smart gal....that is what I would do...bide time and give more time for the searchers to locate her. I am praying.

We don't know if Holly threw it out or if the perp threw it out to get rid of evidence.

We really don't know if she even is still alive. The odds of her surviving this are Increasingly slim.

Newbie posting here. You all do such a wonderful job!

This case is really bothering me. Having grown up in a small town myself, I just feel that someone HAS to know something, either strange behavior by someone in the community or a stranger to the community...SOMETHING! I keep hoping that it's just a case of LE not wanting to let info out.

My prayers are with Holly's family and friends.

...You have said this in a number of posts in different threads. You may be right. But we simply don't know. There isn't a one-size-fits-all outcome for abductees and imo we should remain positive until we have a substantial reason not to. The pond search is a grim reminder of the possible outcome of the case.

I'm being realistic, it is possible that she could be alive, but it is doubtful at this point.

The only reason I can think of them searching a lake or a pond is to locate a body or human remains.

The fact that they are searching water means nothing. They are just covering all their bases. Wouldn't you find it a bit odd if they weren't checking? I would.

They are only ruling out that she is in there.

You know, getting down to reality, it could be a lot of things...we're all speculating right now....it would have to be a twisted soul to abduct, or harm someone like Holly.

As far as 'seeing', someone just dropped several flats of flowers in front of my store, and I have NO IDEA what that's about or where they came from....

I did see a pickup with a trailer leaving. I think I know who owns it, but I didn't know they cared.

I dont think so concentric. I think the phone was tossed the first day.

Theres a scared young girl somewhere who is hungry, cold and alone. Thats what I want to believe.

Yesterday, I went into a convenience store to buy some milk, etc. (different part of the country) and there were some young women who appeared to be college age who had parked their SUV in front of my car in the convenience store parking lot. They crossed to the other side of the street to a restaurant. Anyway, as they left, I noticed a guy standing outside of his car, with the door open, like he was going to get back into it, only his gaze was fixed on watching these young women from the back for possibly more than 20 seconds. When he saw me looking at him, he immediately got into the car and took off. Unfortunately I was unable to get the plate, but I did note the car model and color. When I came out of the convenience store, the young women had returned from the restaurant and I told them that I was buying something in the store and a guy was transfixed on watching them. Then I gave them the car description and what the guy looked like. They were very appreciative and said: ewww, that is just creepy. Thank you so much for doing that.

What if this unsub is someone Holly knows,,, could be a guy that hangs in their circle of friends (this is just pretend ok not fact) Ok his mom notices hes acting withdrawn something isnt right maybe he had ranted to her about Holly not paying atention to him.

What's really different about this case is that it seems Holly was taken from her home residence, with someone else home at the time, in broad daylight, at a time when someone who was familiar with the family's schedules could see that the parents had left for the day, and at a time when Holly was ready to leave for school...and she walked away on her own two feet with the person...when she needed to go take an exam for college...so we can assume she was somehow seriously compelled to cooperate...by a person who was apparently organized specifically to pull off this abduction...

IMO, the planning and the time of day and this boldness makes the situation more personal, and for me, increases the "wild card" feel of things here...

IMO, it could go either way... it really could...

I feel like this was a great deal of effort and planning by this perp, IMO he had some strong feelings about Holly - one way, or the other.

At the presser LE was asked specifically about the phone and camo - he said that they were not talking about what evidence has been collected (paraphrased, but this was today).


(correction that was YESTERDAYS presser! sheeze time for me to go to bed, its already tomorrow!)

not caught up yet but wanted to add as well that the reporter asked about pings on holly's cell phone..... ((at the presser yesterday))

wonder if that is how they found the car ((if all of that is true which I tend to believe it is at this point))

I have no idea but LE should be asking the parents, brother, and her best gf's she had at the time she was in High School.
