The cadaver dogs had all hit on one spot and searchers begin to feel positive that this may be coming to an end. Unfortunately, after the diver spent an hour underwater, there was still no conclusion.

Right. It happened around 11:30 p.m. on Monday night, March 5, 2018. His wife reported it at 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday (wee hours), March 6, 2018.

This gives a little more info. He was found dead in his home, but doesn't say how he died. There is this, though “I think it was pure coincidence that they both had to have some kind of tragic accident," Carter said. "Something happened close together on the same day."

Yes. That is very sad. But I do not believe that is the case with Jesse Reed.

Just read thread, and I am confused ( I was reading quickly) This article states friend was found just hours before.

Hours before the truck went into the water, Nashville Fire Department Medic Matthew Brooks was found dead in his home. Reed and Brooks were good friends, neighbors and coworkers at the NFD. Foul play is not suspected in Brooks' death.
