IMO it is patronizing to criticize the family and their attorney for their actions.

Some folks are just out there when it comes to their lives. They will tell whatever.

There is nothing for them to be ashamed about. What happened happened and they are probably in a better place now with more help and professional support than they would have had had this not happened.

It’s too late to shut the barn door so since they probably have more support out of town than they do at home why not soak in the help and attention maybe then they can get their heads above water and get Tad some opposition.

I find their candor refreshing.

Hiding abuse and problems hides the information that may enlighten and strengthen another.

Tad Cummins due in federal Nashville court today at 2 p.m. We'll update you as information comes in. #LIVEonFOX17

Wow I've never heard of contact visits in CA jails. They are always thru glass and a tele
I know this because our church group visits inmates

That's some special jail he's in. It looks fairly nice from the outside.

I'm really mad now. [emoji35]

Wonder if he'll get a refill of his cialis?

Except it's not their story to tell. It's ET's. If she wants her private stuff broadcasted, it's up to her.

I remember being a 15 year old, a teen. In between childhood and adulthood. I'd be mortified with my blanky shown on national television.

Just my opinion.

My step-daughter and many of her friends (as teenagers) had their blankets and took them to school. Everyone knew and nobody cared. IMO, it's no big deal.

He is in Nashville now...off Broadway.

Thanks for the update. I bet he's happy to get closer to he's community that thinks this sexual deviant predator is a good guy. Which means lots of visitors for him eventually.

I continue to get upset over this case. They need to move this case as far away as possible so they don't get any stealth jurors. [emoji35]

1. He only gets two 15-minute non-contact visits per week at the Kentucky facility he is currently in.

2. He only gets a jury if he pleads not guilty.

And... it houses, county, state, and federal inmates, with classifications ranging from simple violations to violent felonies.

I just had to :websleuther: and I have found out through a phone call the reason he is not listed at http://www.hendersoncountydetention.com/henderson_inmatelist.html.

Per the person I spoke with, they do NOT list federal inmates on their list online. I guess that is why he's showing up there on vinelink as GreaterThan linked above, but not on their inmate list with mugshot on their website. I guess no mugshot? :sigh:

fwiw

No.

IIRC, federal cases do not allow media livestreaming or cameras at all for cases (think back to the federal case of the Boston Marathon) with the exception of civil cases in a pilot test program

ETA: Twitter will be our first info perhaps. These are two accounts that have been tweeting in the last 24 hours about today, and said they would be there. HTH

In the United States federal courts, magistrate judges are judges appointed to assist district court judges in the performance of their duties

Yep, he is in Nashville for the hearing today, but had to travel from Kentucky where he is being held by the feds, to the court. Roadtrip! He'll be back to Henderson Detention Center afterwards unless the feds move him to another facility. I called the facility, and yes, he is deemed a federal prisoner. Another roadtrip.

:moo:

I cannot see him pleading guilty. He believes (tells himself really) he "saved" her from an abusive family and developed feelings for her.

I would be shocked if he pleads guilty really.

Waiting to go into US District Court - Tad Cummins' sister and two daughters are outside courtroom. Hearing begins at 2. @WSMV

She is a dependant minor and this is their part of their story.

They are portraying out of necessity the MT they know and show she still has one foot in childhood.

I hate they have to feel defensive but even on this loving forum there are haughty declarations of someone needs to look out for MT.

It’s so judgmental- they are looking out for her the best they can with the deck of cards they have been dealt.

I notice that her father and sister describe her vastly differently than Tad and ilk do.

That is interesting to me.

I won’t condescend to feel sorry for her. I certainly feel compassion for her life trials but we all have as Bob Dylan says our own crosses to bear.

Unfortunately, I agree with you. I don't think he'll plead guilty, at least not today.
