Noah search prepares future crisis response

"Jackson-Madison County Emergency Management Director Marty Clements said he, too, would have used volunteers like Chester County did. In the future, he would start volunteers on the outskirts of the search area and have them work their way back to the last known location of the missing person.

Starting volunteers away from the scene would allow the trained officials to look at what is close and give search dogs a better chance to find the person, he said."

just now getting the chance to watch the archived memorial. Thank you for linking it. The slideshow is beautifully done. It really illustrates Noah's personality as described by his parents. What a vibrant, curious, fearless, blur of active, rambunctious, happy energy this little guy was.

The love this child had. That is the comfort I take from this case. Small comfort though it is, in some way it is also huge. So many cases we follow gut us because of the pain, terror and cruelty some little ones experience in their short lives. Not so with Noah. Noah knew love. Every child deserves to be treasured, adored, the apple of someone's eye. I have the comfort of knowing that Noah had that. It was far too short a time. He should have had years more of it. But he had it all the days of his life.

Rest Noah. You will continue to be in my heart as will your family. Their strength is inspirational to me.

I am so glad to hear this!

Last year, thousands of people swarmed the woods in Chester County searching for a missing toddler. From law enforcement to search teams, they leaned on the faith and hoped to find Noah Chamberlin.

Last week marked the anniversary of Noah's disappearance. Saturday marked a year since the 2-year-old's body was found.
