This may have already been posted, I’m a couple pages behind.
The place where the surveillance camera captured someone running at about the same time as when his phone was turned off is just a little farther north on Gay St.Based on the video with the officer, I have pinpointed the officer to have been standing by the red truck in the video where the pin is in my screenshot. Riley's last known phone ping was at Gay St/James Robertson Pkwy (circled area). Is this also where the credit card was found, below the James Robertson Pkwy bridge? It was not a far distance from his interaction with the officer if that is where he entered the water.

I kind of disagree....drug addicts will definitely rob people in order to feed their addiction. Homeless or not homeless. He would be an easy mark if he was drunk.Yes of course. IMO, the few people whose instinct is to rob and kill people (versus possibly shoplifting and other forms of theft) are very unlikely to be living in a homeless encampment. Firstly, they'll be able to make enough money to live somewhere, 2ndly, they wouldn''t be tolerated in the camp because they'd have been robbing and killing other homeless people.

True, but it wouldn’t require any force because he was such an easy mark. And even if it did require force, there’s no reason to take things any further, and not use the items you killed him for.I kind of disagree....drug addicts will definitely rob people in order to feed their addiction. I think the strongest evidence that he was not robbed and killed is that the phone and cards show no activity. I can think of at least 3-4 cases over the years where a person has gone missing, has made no contact at all with family or friends or coworkers, yet mysterious activity shows up on cards and phone, ie, Some other party is using them.True, but it wouldn’t require any force because he was such an easy mark. This is an ongoing investigation by LE so I doubt the public would be told about any activity.I think the strongest evidence that he was not robbed and killed is that the phone and cards show no activity. I think I read early in this thread (or something linked) that his friends realized he was gone and called him on his phone and that's when he told them that he was on his way back to the hotel. I'll see if I can find that again.I've been following this case slightly. Hopefully RS will be found safe; however, unfortunately the more time passes the less likely there will be a good outcome here.
In the very brief video of him in post #114 (also making the rounds online), he does not appear to be extremely impaired. He's not staggering all over the street; he's not slurring his words; etc. Sure, he may definitely be too drunk to drive - but he also seems to be functional.
I've been reading a lot of criticism online of his friends for letting him leave alone & of the bar for throwing him out. However, I don't like the blaming game here. At some point we as adults have to take responsibility for our own actions.
Again, hopefully he will be found safe.
True enough. I’m also considering for argument’s sake the idea that an expensive phone could be stolen, the SIM card removed, and reformatted for a quick sale, without necessarily leaving a trace. This is an ongoing investigation by LE so I doubt the public would be told about any activity.
