My daughter in law works here. She loves her job. They work with all kinds of kids and families. She handles adoptions as well within this organization.
I also have a niece who works as a house mom, for young girls/teens coming from trouble situations.

Ugh. I hate that I was right about this. This was not some hero rescuing her. Which makes sense. She is a troubled teen who was being raped by her "father". She was vulnerable to more scum finding her. She probably reached out to this guy online to help her and he came and got her. Just because he kept her well fed, treated her well and let her do whatever she wanted (she was probably free to make a phone call, possibly also free to leave if she wanted) doesn't mean she wasn't also being taken advantage of by this creep too (Or that something more might have been expected from her in his long term plans). No 31 year old male helps a 14 year old girl escape a bad home life and then fails to contact the police for several weeks out of the goodness of his heart. If he had honorable intentions he would have called the police much sooner. Especially when her face was all over the national news and the FBI is looking for her. Thank God she contacted the FBI once she saw RP had been arrested.

I do personally wonder if they found her at 8 and it took 36 minutes to arrest him, why is that?

I can assume that to begin with the "8 pm" is an approximation, not an exact time, and the "8:36" is the booking time. They would have secured the location, taken him away, etc. Actually, 36 minutes is pretty quick to get all that done, but it is a high profile case.

He’s a 31 year old male! Call a safe house! Now if his loving sweet mother had complete control of her in a positive way, that’s something else.

I really wish we would hear more about the mother being in the house. That could shed a lot of light on these things. Unless LE talks, rumors are just going to fly out there.

And I wonder who the photos and videos were sent to. I can't see a 14-year-old girl sending them to a 31-year-old man online. That's why I'm waiting to hear how she came in contact with him.

I don't know of ANY legit group that hides children from LE when they are declared missing. This idea that there are secret rescue groups for minors is a fiction and a dangerous one at that. How would a teen in real danger at home know the difference between a legit "rescue org" and horny 31 year old man who lives with his mother and wants to play the part of her hero so she will trust him? I'd advise any teen reading this who needs real help to call the FBI instead.
