I am not sure what happened.

Although I think she could have been taken, and i can see that being the focus here because that's the only thing that is a crime that we can try to discuss (although we don't have anything except Summer is gone)... I am not really sure why her parents are so locked in to that possibility from the start. It seems like parents would exhaust every option. Including what if she is lost.

Are there all manner of criminals around that area that might have made a side trip by SW's house: yes. But, the TBI got every camera they could find including ones that people didn't originally offer up. Although there were no traffic cams out there, it's not impossible there's a few cameras that sort of capture road traffic. And there are trail cams that capture other than road traffic.

Is there anyone before this who would have known where all these cameras were? Because I am less surprised that someone didn't get caught on camera than I am that they believed they wouldn't.

Were they disguised? Was it someone who could have explained away being with SW (as long as they weren't harming her) if they got caught (at the time, not now, obviously, but if CB had seen SW talking to someone would it have been someone who could have placated her?)

But, there are places right around their house that seem like they would be so hard to search.

BBM. I've thought about that a lot. I think the idea that someone took her gives them hope. She might still be alive if someone took her. If she got lost in the woods ...

I can't imagine living with not knowing. My heart breaks for this family.

Are the boys back home now? I think of them too and how much they must miss Summer.

New post regarding how YTubers can help at: www.findsummerwells.com

I'm glad to see they want Summer's face and her flyers out there.

I saw that earlier today. I wish the YTubers could help, it seems like some have made a circus out of this.

Someone should have helped the family especially DW in the beginning with interviews.

Significant movement and answers, in this case and Delphi, is at the top of my wish list for 2022.
Those are my 2 top cases also.
Delphi, I have followed since the beginning, went to Delphi, went to trails, went to fundraisers, met family and Libby and Abby have my heart.
But so does little Summer.
and now, Little Harmony.
Praying this year brings arrests and justice for all of them.

If there 'WAS' an abduction....lifestyle choices are going to be at the heart of it.

Debts??
Revenge??

I think there will have to be another hearing in front of a judge before the boys go home. I think every time custody changes, it has to be done in an official way. So, their parents would go into court and be given custody again. The media would report if DW and CB went to court together, so we would have heard. Imnal

Yes, i can understand that.

I meant right at first, but now I remember i didn't follow this case early on when she might have been okay in the woods. I didn't follow it because I thought she would be found right away and that she would be okay.

Gag order placed on Wells children case, report says

The order was issued by juvenile court Judge Daniel Boyd on Oct. 26, WJHL reported.

“All parties to this action are hereby prohibited from discussing this matter or the children with the media or any other nonessential person entity and/or uninvolved or disinterred parties and/or persons,” the order stated.

I just said that it would be reported they (eta they meaning DW and CB) went to court. I am aware of the gag order. I think that is pretty standard when the state takes custody of children.

However, this is a special case, so maybe even if the parents got custody back there would still be a gag order in regard to the boys. I didn't think about that.

But with that statement, it seems clear it was an adult who was driving his own work vehicle.
...
If the vehicle was noted as out of the ordinary immediately, it would not surprise me that DW and CW immediately thought Summer had been abducted. Kwim?
Initial report was the truck was possibly seen on the 14th or 15th from the driver of a work vehicle. That sounds like a mail delivery person, someone who's in the area regularly but it's easy to forget which day you saw a particular vehicle.

Both of SW's parents called her "a free spirit", I asked what that meant. I have never heard a five-year-old called this. Clearly, they're her parents, and they know a lot more about her than i do. So, maybe it's just what did this term mean to them?
As a grandmother to 9, my GUESS is that free spirit is a kind way of saying a bit uncontrollable? unconventional? Merely a guess and MOO.

Ah, i didn't think about that. That makes sense. It especially makes sense in context of the other things they were saying in that part of the interview.

Of course, DW was doing most of the talking and he wasn't there. I think (at least at the time of the interview), he thought something had happened to SW outside. Jmo, but idk really. It just seems more likely, i guess.

He talks about her being a free spirit, loving to be outside. He even says "that was her downfall". I am not saying he had a clear idea in his mind that he was referencing. Also, because it was June, it could be a lot of his most recent memories of SW were of her running around outside and playing.

But, he also says that she would stay outside by herself and they would have to send "the boys" to go bring her inside. Did he refer to the boys as a group because it might be different ones sent different times or did they all go because they had to figure out where she was in order to bring her inside?

Even if she was usually just in the yard, there are a lot of places to be in the yard. And a lot of things are situated in ways that might block line of sight. If they called for her, it is possible that if she was absorbed in whatever she was doing, she might keep doing that (because age five).

I keep trying to figure out SW's behavior just to think what she might have done before things went wrong. But, i acknowledge it might not matter. Maybe she stopped being able to make her own choices due to an encounter or an accident early on. Idk...

Does anyone remember the exact date when the info on the Red Toyota Tacoma with a ladder rack came out?

From the parents’ interview:

On Saturday, June 26, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said they were seeking the driver of red or maroon Toyota Tacoma who could be a “potential witness” in the case of Summer’s disappearance. Bly told News Channel 11 that the vehicle is a mystery to her.

“It’s really strange that I’ve never seen this truck, and I’ve never heard of it until just recently,” Bly said. “But I wish they would come forward and explain themselves. If you’re not a suspect, at least come forward and say what you’ve seen.”

Thank You. I'm starting to wonder if the Red Toyota Tacoma with a full ladder rack, and white buckets in the back actually exist. I wonder how LE can be so sure it's a credible tip if everyone is a suspect, and nobody has been cleared. MOO
