Never-Ending Grief

Police turn their attention to Tabitha Tuders' older sister as the family cries foul

http://www.nashvillescene.com/cgi-b...er-Ending_Grief

In October 2003, six months after Tabitha Tuders vanished without a trace from her East Nashville neighborhood, her older sister, Jamie, shared her grief in a heart-wrenching note on an Internet message board.

"There's new information in the Tabitha Tuders case.
Family members confirm they've taken polygraph tests and Tabitha's older sister has failed several of them.
Tabitha Tuders disappeared in April of 2003.
She was last seen leaving for school and walking to a bus stop in East Nashville.
Sources tell NewsChannel 5 the girl's parents have passed polygraphs, but Tabitha's sister Jamie has failed some of them.
Tabitha's mother says she does not understand what the police department is doing and why they keep going after her daughter.
“Well, she's failed them and she's passed one and she's failed two, three, and you know I don't know why she keeps failing them, but I know Jamie had nothing to do with Tabitha's disappearance or nothing,” said Debra Tuders, Tabitha’s mother.
Metro Police won't comment on the polygraph tests, but they will comment on a photograph NewsChannel 5 has obtained.
A woman who appears on an escort service's website in Michigan resembles an older Tabitha Tuders.
Police do not believe it's her.
Family members also don't think it is Tabitha............""

An article I found whilst "googling " Tabitha today. Its about 3 weeks old I think- some of you may have read it......... I really hope her sister ahd nothing to do with it- this must be killing her family. I hope Tabitha comes home soon. xxxxx

I exchanged e-mails with Tabitha's sister over a year ago. She requested a link be added on Rachel's site to Tabitha's web site. She was very concerned with finding her sister and I don't feel she had anything to do with it.

This is probably a good example why polygraphs are not admissible in court. They are mainly used by LE to try and get a confession out of someone who fails the test.

I totally agree Robert. They are only ever used on chatshows here in the UK............
Also, as an actor we did a little bit on lie detector tests at Drama School and they proved how easily it is to fool them and get unclear results............... Stress and general worry can send these things off the radar and I personally can't think of a more stressful situation than the one Tabithas sister is in now.
Also you can fool them- if you believe what you say enough then it will register as truth-regardless of whether it is or not- some people can also fool them because they have a laid-back personality so it takes an awful lot to register anything on a polygraph. There are loads of reasons why polygraphs are not admissable in court.........

I think about Rachel all the time by the way, I often go running in my neighbourhood and I'm in my 20's. I was born on May 1978. I'll never forget Rachel. This has made me extra vigilant.............. I hope you find her. x

metro police will soon turn this case over to the cold case unit, there has been no positive leads in some months now, there are some other remote sources that are attempting to help in this case, the cold case unit has two of metros best detectives. that will be a fresh set of eyes and minds to work this case. we all still hope and pray for this family that some answers come one day. god bless tabitha and her family...

I hope the cold case detectives can been new ideas to Tabitha's case. I usually don't think there is much hope to bring home someone safe who has been gone this long but something has made me think that Tabitha is still alive.

2 years today. Her family, freinds, and community are holding a march to Tabitha's bus stop where she was last seen 2 years ago at 7:50 a.m. CST.

A candle light vigil will be held tonight at her school.

This family needs closure of some kind, they are devastated.

Two years of not having answers equals much heartache and devestation in the life of the loved one of a missing person.

Each loved one deals with the agony differently, but nonetheless, it is always present.

Today, as I pray for answers in the Maura Murray case, I will say a special prayer for Tabitha........prayers that God will reveal answers very soon. and comfort to her loved ones.

May God especially comfort Tabitha's loved ones today.

NCMEC has done an age-progression photo of Tabitha. You can see it on her poster. Please print one and place it for Tabitha and her family. Thank you.

The girl, Victoria, she is similiar, but I seriously doubt this girl is Tabitha. Though she is petite, she really does look 18. Her body looks more mature though than her facial features. I don't know anything about escorts, but I would think that if she were 14 years old, she wouldn't have a body like that and that girl has a tan, a tattoo, possibly a color job, I bet works out at the gym a lot and all that takes money which Tabitha would need and being out on her own, she wouldn't have much of. I just think this girl is a girl who is from a richer family or can at least afford the nice things she has. I could be wrong of course.

Does anyone know these people or able to email/contact them? I had read of this case on the Perverted Justice website. They reported that law enforcement was less than enthuesiastic. Having experienced a similar situation with law enforcement myself I believe I have good advice for these parents.
Any input? p.m. me if you do.

Thanks,
Duffy

dannyodie - is there some reason they have rejected that *advertiser censored* picture as being Tabitha? I read somewhere they decided it wasn't her. From what I can tell there is not one single physical feature that rules that *advertiser censored* girl out from being Tabitha - the skin tone, hair, hairline, nose, lips, general body structure, eyes, eyelids, she's a dead ringer for Tabitha. Interestingly too, Tabitha had very unusual teeth that needed correcting, and this *advertiser censored* picture has a girl clearly covering her teeth with her lips.

What does the family say about why that isn't Tabitha, do you know? Because until they rule that girl out, it's hard to think about looking further for Tabitha.

from what I have found out, the cold case unit with the metro police dept. is attemping to locate the young lady in the *advertiser censored* photo. the cold case unit has been going back over the case files from nearly day one, they were not pleased with the way the youth services detectives handled the case. the mom and dad feel that this is not tabitha, I on the other hand have my disbeliefs. this could be her, some folks say the general toning of her body doesn't match what tabitha was like, tabitha has thin arms, it looked like this girls arms were well toned, but make up and photos can do a lot of tricks. we all hope that the police are really doing the things that they say they are.

with Couey we saw a link to child *advertiser censored* in Georgia, Tennessee and Florida...

did anyone ever ask Couey if he knew what happened to Tabitha?

I would just like everyone to know that Tabitha Tuders is still missing. It has been over 2 years since the Tuders were able to see their little girl. This has been one of the biggest NIGHTMARES. A child 13 years old leaves her home to walk to a bus stop within a block from her house. VANISHED

Well I know there are at least 3 people that know what happened to Tabitha that morning.......her, whom ever did it and GOD. Well since no one has stepped forward and Tabitha is not home I feel the only choice we have is to PRAY. Lets pray that GOD will give stength to the family. Lets also pray that GOD will give the police officers working Tabitha's case the knowledge and tools to find her.

I have known the Tuders almost all my life and lived two doors down from them when I was a teenager. I have always loved this family and I know deep in my heart that Tabitha had every intention of getting on that school bus the morning she disappeared. So I hope for the most part all the rumors of her running away have disappered.

If you can please copy and paste what I have typed below and send it to everyone on your email list. I am just trying to keep Tabitha's name alive somewhere because we are not doing a good job in her home community. All the posters are gone and no one speaks her name.....>SAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

COPY AND PASTE BELOW........send to everyone you know.
Today friends and family I come to you to ask you to do something very important to me. My friend’s daughter is still missing without a trace. It's a very sad case. Can you imagine as a mother or father how you would feel if your child vanished? Well I can't....and I don't know how the Tuders are handling Tabitha being absent from their lives since April 29th, 2003.

My favor from each and every one of you is to pray and then pass this along to all of your friends and family and get them to pray. Some of you may ask what should you pray for........pray for closure; pray that no mater what the circumstance that Tabitha is found. Pray for the police that are working Tabitha's case that they will find something old or new that will assist them in locating Tabitha. Pray that the family will find strength through GOD to get them through each LONG day. I would just like everyone to pray. The more people that find it in their hearts to pray the louder it will ring through HEAVEN.

stacy, that is a very good letter/post you made, I was one of the search volunteers with mr white for about a year after the first search was done, which I also took place in. I still to this day take it upon myself to take some time on the side to keep looking and to keep an open ear. My heart goes out to her family and I too have offered prayers nearly everyday that god will extend his hand and help the investigators with this puzzeling case. I along with several others have joined on to an organization named, tennessee alliance for familys of the missing. the web site is www.tnmissing.org the site is up and running but has recently gone under some construction and is still being worked on, I want to thank you for being one of those that is helping to keep tabithas name out there, its something that we all should do. I think now as I did back then, that the person that picked her up that morning is someone known to the family, most likely someone that was trusted to some degree. and that person is no longer hanging around as much now as he used to do in the past.

stacey, if you haven't already done so, log on and check your private message I sent to you. thanks in advance
