I don't think bartering is the main problem. He was the JOINT custody evaluator, and he then began treating ONE of the two clients that he was supposed to be assessing. That is unethical, bartering or not.

And NOW he is airing that families dirty laundry on live national television?

According to the Complaint, he made a custody recommendation on behalf of the father WITHOUT EXAMINING the mother. Today on the stand, he trying to claim he did exam the mother. IMO) He's a LIAR.

Her appearance has deteriorated significantly during this trial. Or maybe it's my perception of her that has changed into viewing her as a grossly unattractive individual.

I was one of the ones that never found her that attractive....certainly not beautiful as she has been described by NG and JVM. She was okay cute at first but even then her right eye was a total distraction for me.

Now that I have seen her for so long I find her downright homely. Her nose is very large and her bottom lip looks like she is dipping dry snuff. Im not kidding....that is what it looks like to me.

I didn't like her as a blonde either. She was very pale with blonde hair.

IMO

I'm sorry mods...I can't help it. Looking at Nurmi at sidebars...all I see is Shrek.

:floorlaugh:
All I see is my ex son-in-law! I swear he looks JUST LIKE him and from what I have seen acts a bit like him, too! Which is NOT a good thing.

Hey guys - I can only listen to the trial. This "work" thing is getting in the way. Just got caught up on posts - you guys crack me up :)

Can someone post a pic of the expression on JA face that everyone's talking about? TYIA!

She looks really tired to me. And looks like she could cry any minute. Ahhh poor Jodi.....Not. lol

I think she reacts to what is happening at the bench. I think she can read it on the screen in front of her. moo

OK! This is just sooooo unnecessary! Who cares if Jodie was in the "Valley of Darkness" during the stabbing---she has already admitted to it, so what is up with this guy and his 3rd grade drawings.

That drawing was very hokey. Couldn't he have worked up some sort of graph or table before now? sheesh

Does that mean she'll be available to play JA in the Lifetime movie?!?

:floorlaugh: Priceless.

Guess I better do something constructive during the lunch break. sigh

Eh...this witness/expert seems to be a little off himself actually. If what he is saying/portraying to the court is the honest to goodness truth and not just his 'version' of things, I am inclined to believe that he isn't all put together and didn't know. As for the other part, I would guess that if he never interviewed the mother, regardless of her mental state, the report would have to be biased towards the father. He showed up. The mother automatically looks bad for not showing up.

My biggest beef with the witness is that he seems to have fit JA into a diagnosis instead of the diagnosis fitting JA. It feels like he said 'ok, she fits this one, maybe this one, ok we will go with this one'. Instead of true diagnosis.

If she has memory loss because of the event its because of the rage masking her ability to remember, not being afraid. If I am to give credit to JA, then I would say yes this was a traumatic event for her too. But her actions afterwards made that null and void. IMHO.

Can you imagine how the "bartering" session went. Probably like this...

Client: "I dont have any money to pay you"

Physch Dr." Well what do you have?"

Client: " I am a dentist and can give you free dental care"

Physch Dr. "Really, wow. My bottom right molar has been bugging me. That will be great. When can I get it taken care of?" "Anything else you got that I can swindle from you?"

Sounds right to me!!!! :rocker: :rocker:

Yet the defense brought it up.

To lessen the impact. If they had not brought it up it would have looked like they were trying to hide it because surely Juan would have brought it up.

:rocker: I hear ya minor!

What he did 20 years ago has nothing to do with this case, and plus Juan will shred him!

That's a bit broad-brushed, but so was my comment.

I just made a guess about what might have happened based on what I've observed. I could be wrong, but I guess the point is we really don't know the background and all the facts so I don't think any real solid conclusions can be made from this one ethical complaint 20 years ago.

I get it - most of you disagree with me and think this ethical thing defines this man and discredits everything he says. There's plenty for Juan to cross examine him about to destroy his testimony. I think it's a mistake to focus too much on something non-substantive like this.

Juan's probably going to hand him a copy of the complaint and ask him where in it does it say what he has told the jury.

IMO

I don't think Juan would have even needed to bring that up to discredit and impeach this fellow. (Time Magazine, TGA/not TGA, crude diagrams.) He seems to be doing just fine all by himself! :twocents:

Interesting observation because Dr Drew's panel of men said that as the trial has elapsed and more creepy things about her come out, she loses her appeal to any men who once found her attractive.

Maybe that is a general phenom with all people who view her

Yep, but opened a working studio in the art district. So I paint there, but I sell out of there, too. In addition to teaching classes in the evening. So I basically never sleep and never call in:) Except for today. haha.

This sounds great except the never sleeping part!!

Hey! There's nothing wrong with pale. :rocker:
