I posted this earlier but it quickly got buried in the fast-moving thread. I took this screenshot earlier because I was totally loving the looks on the faces of those at the d table & seen many of you commenting on loving the look on Wilmott's face as well so I'm posting it here for your enjoyment and also as a momento -a keepsake so to speak- of the greatness that went down in the courtroom on this day Enjoy!!!

I think the DV expert should be very nervous. Some of her testimony is built upon the tests that Samuel had Arias take. More testimony based on lies.

What's your opinion on the expert witness debacle? By her attorneys allowing this aren't they failing to represent her to the best of their ability?
Will she have grounds for appeal?

Sorry in advance because I didn't see all this guy's testimony....was Jodi supposed to answer the questions based upon this incident (i.e. Travis' death) or could these questions apply to any time in her life? What I'm getting at is can the defense say (for example) she was mugged previously and therefore wasn't lying on the test?

Something concerns me now.... Dr. <modsnip> was so completely incompetent, does anyone think his testimony could be grounds for a mistrial or appeal since Jodi did not receive adequate representation? I am not familiar with AZ laws - does anyone know?

Thank You everyone! I don't know if he can survive anything else from Juan, or even jury questions.

He wasn't lying per se; Jodi lied.

Juan just got out of him of when the test was administered.

Oh I think he was most certainly fudging the truth on direct and he would have never divulged any of these mistakes, ineptness and that he did the test while knowing she was lying. He cant even seem to add.

None of that would have come to light if Juan hadn't brought it to the surface.

So I don't give him any credit when he was trying hard to mislead the jury when questioned by Wilmott.

He had no choice but to tell the truth today.

It wasn't like he told the Prosecutor he wanted to clear some things up that he said that were incorrect. He would have let this tall grandiose tale live on if it weren't for Juan exposing the real truth.

Yes, because at that point, Nurmi was trying to get removed from the case.

I told my vet that my cat was obnoxious and annoying right up to the very end. The vet said, well, then, he had a good life. That vet was cool.

Just heard also that he crossed the line as an expert witness treating the defendant.

I want to bust out singing "Zippity do dah..my oh my what a wonderful day!" RS made it way to easy on JM. Seriously, I have seen horrible PhD experts perform a thousand times better on the stand, even when they have a lousy fact case. Unbelievable.

The State's expert is going to be solid. I wonder who is going to take on the State's expert, JW or Nurmi?

This is where I don't feel sorry for him. It's his job to be prepared, and it's his job to doublecheck whether his patient is lying to him. I feel a little sorry for him because his delusions of grandeur got punctured so publicly.

What if the prosecutor was not as smart as Juan and the jury believed him. And what if JA got off because of his ineptitude. Wouldn't feel sorry for him then I don't think. I agree with your post. jmo

Can't imagine Juror Questions being asked. Surely, they figured out to not believe Samuels as an expert. Jurors, just let the guy slink off the stand to go lick his wounds under some rock. There's too many papers he can't find if you keep asking him questions. He's suffering PTSD with a touch of Fog.
