Okay, let's be real. For anyone, including me, who believes that JA is guilty as sin, any witness that takes the stand for the DT is going to be vilified. I don't want to hear her or anyone say bad things about TA and come up with excuses for JA. The Easter Bunny could be the next witness and we'd find something negative to say if he/she was a DT witness. Seems like a natural reaction to me. No one here is going to suddenly believe JA based on any DT witness. She sided with the DT after acting as a Mitigation Specialist. That is a bit worrisome but! She and everyone else that ever interacted with JA is basing all of their opinions on the words and actions of a total liar. That is hard to listen to when they testify as if what they believe is fact.
She's on the DT. I won't like her, no matter what she says. Simply because she is there to testify on JA's behalf and I can totally discount her expertise because she, like RS isn't smart enough to know she's been duped by JA.
It's like with Pres. Clinton. I was less offended and worried about his role as President by the actions he took in the Oval Office than I was by his stupidity at actually getting caught. I value intelligence.

I admit liking her better so far....I found her website and youtube workshops interesting, even if I didn't agree with some of the stuff. I think it will be interesting when JM gets a cross....she does not come across as an inept person so far. However I keep hearing more and more about her work and it really sounds like she is very well going to paint the victim pretty negatively. I want to keep an open mind but...

On the subject of DV women vs men iniating..

(disclaimer following is all speculative on my part with no real stats or facts JMSO)

I think that women probably start as much as men.. but when they hit/throw something at man 1st then cops show up if the man has pushed/hit/thrown anything back in self defense BAM they are usually arrested NOT the Woman!

IDK I feel it's all FOS that JA can allege all she wants with no substantial proof of anything being remotely true!!

I guess I could say that I was dating Brad Pitt & he called me a Biotch & pushed me down the stairs.. Does that make it true at all?? NO so why should she be able to just say whatever she wants with out pics of injuries, police reports, eye witness, even a text/email of TA apologizing for doing XYZ (usually those men do that say I'm sorry Baby it won't ever happen again) to me this is all insane hearsay!!!

I hope you won't mind me playing devil's advocate here, in a sense. I understand the desire to have abuse validated but there are some victims, real victims, who don't have proof of their abuse either.

It doesn't negate them as victims in my opinion. Probably because I was that woman, desperately attempting to 'prove' to a family court judge that my (now ex) husband was incredibly dangerous with almost no evidence to prove it so I believe I came across as a woman scorned, maybe? The court finally conceded...but only after my ex had attempted suicide in front of his 12 year old daughter, became homeless, lost his job, and plead guilty to drugging and raping his 14 year old niece while already incarcerated on a weapons violation stemming from pulling a gun on me. (He was also allowed to plead to both charges for lesser sentences.) Until the very last charge, plea, and conviction the court maintained he should be allowed visitation with our then 4 and 6 year old munchkins. :furious:

So Jodi *could* be an abuse victim without medical documentation, police reports, restraining orders, or even others to validate her abuse. At that point though one has to look to a pattern of behavior instead. And Jodi's pattern of behavior is wholly indicative of the profile of an abuser, not an abuse victim.

When she questions her own witness, especially when going through their CV, she reminds me of a shill on an infomercial with her pretend admiration and awe of the prod--er--witness.

Okay, so I am already annoyed by ALV not just because listening to her review her CV orally is boring. She reminds me of this Women's Studies teacher I had early on in college who for nearly a week of lecture went on and on about how the bible is sexist because it only speaks about man, mind you she never allowed for the fact that likely the bible often means mankind meaning all humans. That whole class, even when she had a valid point, she would overreach...very annoying. Now ALV's appearance and voice reminds me of that professor.

I noticed that but she seem to indicate it was very few so Im not sure that makes her an expert on male domestic violence.

I was actually surprised when she said in 34 years she had only counseled around 2,000 people.

I would have thought the number would be much higher.

I don't have a problem with her until and if she starts saying things that are very generalized.

I don't think she signed on to free Jodi. Originally she was subpoenaed as a mitigation witness. It took many hours and hearings before she was switched. I wish we could see what went on in those evidentiary hearings that happened between 2008 and 2013.

8-25-11 DT needs a replacement for their sick expert.
5-18-12 DT says ALV will take over, but only in the mitigation phase.
10-25 DT announces ALV will now argue during CIC

I thought Samuels was personable. I liked him as a person even after he was skewered and shown to be unprofessional.

So I reserve judgment on ALV as well.

If I were the men on that jury I would be feeling a little uncomfortable with AL. She seems somewhat biased against men. Just because she has dealt with battered women and their batterers doesn't mean Travis was one.

This woman has written an article downplaying DV against men.

Once this woman gets to the *advertiser censored*, she'll reveal her true colors. The facials that Jodi enjoyed will be twisted into an example of Travis's hate toward women and his need to degrade them. The phantom *advertiser censored* on his computer will also be twisted in a similar fashion. There are many people, men and women, who believe that no woman is capable of enjoying "debasing" sex and that men who even so much as fantasize about bondage are raging misogynists. Recall that one idiot defense lawyer on HLN who said that Travis comments on the sex tape were disrespectful and insulting to *all* women. She is going to be very ugly. Brace yourselves for the worst character assassination that this trial has seen so far. Like I said previously I will not be watching.

There's a lot of oxymorons in here somewhere- I never heard of someone who claims she was being abused, turn around and stalk her abuser, try everything in her power to force herself back into his life. Usually they are persuaded back into the relationship by the abuser promising IT won't happen again....

Yes. There are so many things that feel wrong with the abuse story. Yet, the stalking and obsessive behavior seem so right.
