I would venture to guess that Donovan (or Donovan buddies) read here. That pic was posted here a while ago...fortunatly, it is an absurd claim by the DT and it will burn itself out in time.....
I only hope Katieddj is ok.....as well as katiekcl, Pasa and everyone else who may be close to this inane accusation. JM too!! Goodness --imagine how he is feeling right now!!!

The people on the Pro-Jodi site read here. When that picture was first put up here, it was copied over on their site, and a few Jodi fans there said they were going to send it to the DT team. I was worried about what was going to happen since that day.

IMO this is the reason for Jodi's migraine yesterday. If trial had continued yesterday, maybe by today JM could have started the cross. Maybe not, but I think in JA's devious mind, this is EXACTLY how she wanted to leave the jury for this LONG WEEKEND. Just think, four full days to think about poor abused Jodi :devil:

Do these emails specify what the Hughes consider to be abusive behavior?
If travis was so abusive to this girl why isn't SHE testifying herself for the defense? I mean if this was true she would be a star witness

If she didn't enter into this with an unbiased perspective I can't understand how her opinion could be called anymore than just an opinion. OK, I just read that and I know it doesn't make much sense.

She is now testifying as a DV expert. But back when she sent those books to the killer she was a mitigation specialist.

Did you notice today when ALV was asked if she liked JA how she hesitated to give an answer and when she finally did she kind of skirted around it. Never really giving a yes or no.

IMO that was not because she does not like Jodi. She just doesn't want to be put on the hot seat about her bias by JM

You are right. I'm sure buddies of Jodi are reading everywhere and trying to "help" her. Their jailhouse legal degrees leave much to be desired, however. He!! the defense team's real legal degrees don't impress me much either.

I think this sex tape redux. KN wanted only "some" of that e-mail entered. CH felt it was being taken out of context. If AVL's testimony opens the door for the ENTIRE e-mail, including the circumstances under which it was made, that will be good.

My worry, in my ignorance, is that AVL is only relying on the info, and the Hughes are under subpoena by the DT. So, if they are not called by the DT maybe they can't be called for rebuttal -- that doesn't seem fair or possible, but I've learned all's not fair in law and too much is possible with a jury.

Actually in that hearing, after Chris Hughes asked for the 'rest' of the email, and after Juan said something, Nurmi stated that the prosecution didn't want Travis' email to be part of it ( I think it was what was discussed at sidebar). I hope Juan does admit it all, if he can

That was my thought...they cooked up a lie in order to scare her off so she would stop coming around. Obviously nobody knew her inner scary self right at the beginning, and how obsessed she would become. :moo:

Me too. I will be scared until I hear the verdict . I never thought a trial of someone who don't know could affect you so much emotionally.

I believe they were plain purple ribbons - a show of support for victims of domestic violence, which when worn by these women, in support of a vile murderess - defiles the whole idea. their ribbons should be sh%$ brown, if you ask me.

That's an excellent question! Why did the defence not simply put the Hughes on the stand to testify to this?

Because Chris Hughes testified in the evidentiary hearing that he believed JA killed his friend in cold blood. Also the DT doesn't want the Hughes to be cross examined by JM IMO.

Not to be the specialist, but to testify during the sentencing phase.

So basically this entire week was wasted time. All the DT got was a morsel at the end of the day about their 'summary' of the Hughes emails. But once the Hughes take the stand, that will likely be cleared up.

Other than that we had the expert going on and on about her own personal anecdotes and then discussing what she knew, based upon the killers OWN WORDS. So if it is based upon what she was told by Jodi, does the jury have any reason to believe it?

I don't see how Skye can clean up what she wrote in her email when she said she wouldn't let her own sister date TA due to the abusive way he treated previous women.

I believe they were both admonished not to watch the trial because they'd be recalled.
