I'm shocked that some can't see how biased and prejudicial AVL's opinions are and how much she is damaging the credibility of those who truly are victims of DV. I also have so real concern of the damage she is causing in counseling individuals who do not fit within her warped sense of reality.

I can't wait for JM to tear into her and I still won't "love" her testimony.

It's getting really old that those of us who refuse to excuse Sandy's behavior and express anger and disgust with some of these experts are being scolded and lectured about how we should know better.

Well, I'm an educated professional, mother of three with a strong sense of right and wrong who is capable of making intelligent opinions of what I perceive is right and wrong.

Agreed. LaViolette is dangerous out in the world.

Yesterday was my first day on this forum <modsnip>.I see ALV is still doing her thing...I really can't believe what this judge allows in her courtroom...Does context matter to these people at all... they let all the b.s fly, non-stop...

Yep. Nurmi probably having a hissy fit about it... Jodi must be livid. Will make for an interesting afternoon!

Juror 5 has on a teal shirt and is sitting three seats from the wall... has red and blond hair. Finally we get to see her!

I missed the morning portion of the trial, so I'm chiming in late, but I think I got the gist of it.

Me thinks Donovan is heavily involved in this latest gesture of Nurmi's

I wouldn't be surprised to find that she is following jurors around, including to their homes, and looking in windows.

I was going to say she may even attempt to nonchalantly strike up conversations with people in the lives of the jurors in an attempt to glean info, but she doesn't exactly "blend".

I won't bore you with details but back in 1949 one of my Mom's best friends was murdered. Her killer confessed to the killing but refused, always, to divulge why he killed her. We all know that there was a sexual slant to the truth. What comes to my mind is that even on the electric chair, horrible killer that he was, he still wouldn't shame his parents by giving up the nasty details of what happened that day. He died trying to keep additional shame from his family. JA on the other hand, has spread lies, sexual disgust and horrible shame all over herself, her family, TA, everyone who has even a slight tether to any of this.
She is still in control of it all. And now, Juror #5 has stirred the pot...this is no longer a circus, it's macabre.

This is about as bad as Drew Peterson's trial with all the mistrial bs, but at least his DT was prepared. That prosecution IMO was not that great. Juan is way better. But how many times can they call mistrial? It's like the NFL fake refs throwing flags.

Posted this in another thread...

I think that Juror #5 has something that is sadly lacking in today's society.

Honor and integrity. And committment.

It's awesome seeing it on display in such a public arena.

That doesn't say much for the aspirations or skills of defense attorneys in that area does it?
I'm still waiting to see my first 'respected defense attorney'....

Mark Eiglarsh

I may be in the minority here...but I think Juror 5 being there is a big middle finger to jodi and the DT....and I think its awesome.

Juror solidarity!!!

Heck of a statement Imo.
Me too. When she was thrown off the jury, she became a private citizen again. Doesn't she have every right to attend if she chooses to? Because, freedom.

MARK MY WORDS the DT is having a hissy fit over #5 being in the courtroom. I predict yet another Mistrial request and on and on and on. Dear God stop the insanity.

She shouldn't be there for the above reason, there is something about her personality that doesn't know how to behave and she should stop using her own judgement in regards to this trial and err on the side of caution. It's a distraction for the jury to have her there, her presence effects them more than anyone, and they need to focus of the trial.

Attention seeking, it's not about her, or the jury .. it's about what happened to Travis.

After thinking about this for a minute, I agree Tulessa. But I have to say, I admire her - the girl has balls. Erm. Eggs. Great big huevos.

Or purposefully trying to cause a mistrial. I don't think the other Jurors seeing her there is appropriate at all now that she can see all the media.:moo:

Juror #5 has seen what a "cluster" this trial has been, and how much time is wasted. I would have thought she would be smart enough to stay away, instead of adding to the circus, and wasting anymore time.

Frankly what she has done in the past is irrelevant when it comes to this case. Yes she has done good work for women but this is about a woman on trial who is a cold blooded psychopathic murderer which ALV has tried to make into an angel. She completely dismisses all of the abusive acts the defendant has done. But she pounces on the male victim even for trivial things because imo ALV feels the woman is always the victim of abuse and the man is always the abuser.

I really don't care who an expert is ......if they show blatant biases then I don't have a touchy feeling for them.

But the truth is if JM never crossed her she would be perfectly fine feeding all of this to the jury and wants them to believe that JA is good and TA was the bad one.

I will not give her the credit for what Juan may do in his cross.

IMO

I think she got duped by JA and that happened because of her own biases based on her field work.
