Why hasn't JM brought in character witnesses to testify to TA character? Is he finished as far as his witnesses cause I think he could have brought in other's than what he has presented. Don't see any "new bomb shells" coming from JM..JMO

I think the Tesoro/Wal Mart reps are still to come. I don't think he'll call any character witnesses. He already turned the defense's witness, Lisa Daidone, into a character witness for Travis anyway.

Why no character witnesses for Jodi, you know, the one on trial? Weird.

Because ALV has had a lot of experience with psychopaths. Psychopaths are ace abusers. She never calls Jodi a psychopath after 44 hours of interviews.

Because ALV had access to real time conversations, thousands of words between them, as well as conversations with others, and private writings of both, and knows how to analyze them as an objective observer.

And yet she interpreted everything he said in ways the average person would not. Telling someone they've made you feel more terrible than when your own father died is not "character assassination." And Jodi saying "mmm i dont think IM the one being dramatic dear" when Travis was clearly extremely upset is not her trying to deescalate the situation--it is her being completely unempathetic and knowing full well that with that remark she's only going to upset him further by acting like he's crazy and she has no idea what's upsetting him. You are in the very small minority here. It was a MUTUALLY unhealthy relationship. While Travis wasn't perfect and he said some nasty things, so have most people, and it doesn't prove domestic violence, it doesn't prove she had a reasonable fear for her life that night, it doesn't justify what she did. The rest of the trial doesn't get tossed out the window because Travis called her an evil *advertiser censored* during an argument.

I think JA is very passive/agressive. She liked to stoke the fire and then sit back and enjoy the reaction she got, all while she acts like the innocent in the situation. Sad that all of those harsh words that she very much deserved are being used against Travis now, when he's the one that's dead.

I'm looking forward to more of JM's cross on Monday. Mz Violet better get her rest this weekend, because Juan will be relentless. Despite the guffaws from the peanut gallery today, he is focussed. And I have absolute faith that he will cut through the "fog" and expose this DT witness for what she is. A paid mouthpiece for the defense. Nothing more.

Jodi and her crooked team have most certainly bullied the truth and the victim... and in case anybody is unclear about who the victim is... his name is Travis.

Not only has JA bullied the truth, she butchered..killed....murdered the truth......everything Travis said to her (she's a sociopath, etc.) was the god's honest truth.....

So today, I did hear more of the "real" Travis. He wasn't perfect.

But you know what? Who cares? He's a human being. He was a normal 30-yo man with a sex drive.

What's surprising about that? And he's supposed to be the villain here??

I see nothing different about him than most other men of his age. Pitiful.

I TOTALLY agree!! WHO CARES if Travis was a perv, a total jerk, or for that matter a complete *advertiser censored**hole!! I'm not saying he necessarily 'was,' I'm just sayin> who cares?? He was a young, a VERY young man, who had a LOT of growing up to do... When I was young, I dated many guys who did not treat me well... truth be told, I doubt I was mature enough at the time to treat THEM well. Some of them were just immature, but a few of them were COMPLETE a-holes. TOTAL jerks!! However, not a one of them deserved to be murdered/butchered the way TA was; Jodi's crime is, quite simply, insane and reprehensible. She is obviously a danger to society, and she needs to remain locked up for a very long time.

I'm still catching up. I can only say this about #5..... When she issued the statement yesterday about putting the trial first, etc.... We all read her statement, I had a bit of respect for her. Today I was disappointed in her. She completely nullified what she said yesterday. ALL of the attention was on her today. To the point that court was delayed, and the judge had to make a statement about her. Not bashing her, but if she meant what she said, she would have stayed home and watched. :twocents:

If you really think someone is a sociopath, you would do well to not tell them, but just fold up your tent and silently sneak away. What is the point of calling someone all the names he called her?

He lost it. Plain and simple. He said things he shouldn't of. He may even be a not a nice person. But she had choices. She could have logged off the instant messages, not replied to texts, block his calls or change her number and get a new email address. Those are things that normal people do when they perceive themselves to be abused. She did none of those things. She responded in a way that normal people do not. She drove hundreds of miles to be with her abuser, had sex with him and then slaughtered him. His behavior, what he did and with whom, have no bearing on this whole situation. He didn't cause his own death, JA did. Just like you don't blame a rape victim, you don't blame a murder victim. He should not be on trial here. Okay, he is on trial. Is he guilty of being a jerk? Probably. A womanizer, sure. Even sex craved? Maybe. A pedophile? No evidence. An abuser? Again no evidence except some nasty names he called someone that he felt was ruining his life. And he was obviously right since she ultimately took his life. She was the worst thing that ever happened to him. Guilty as charged.
None of this changed what JA did. The only question should be "Did JA kill Travis in cold blood, in a premeditated fashion?" Or was it self defense? This trial should have only focused on those questions, nothing else. Leave Travis's behavior out of it. If she is found guilty then maybe those thing could be relevant in deciding her sentence but they have nothing to do with her killing him or why. She shot him, slit his throat and stabbed him 29 times, basically murdering him 3 times. And now she is slandering him, calling him an abuser and pedophile, murdering him some more. What she did was bad enough but what she is being allowed to do, and enabled to do, should qualify her for the death penalty alone.
Since when does being a jerk to a woman an excuse for self defense? "He called me names and I had to defend myself by stabbing him 29 times, slitting his throat and shooting him".

Because most abused women do not recognize the extreme danger they are in, even if they voice it. My friend made me executor of her will. On some level she knew she was in danger. I begged her not to go back to her home state where he was. She went back. Two months later she was dead.

And I would fervently argue that's very likely what Travis experienced too. He never realized, like many abuse victims, the very real potential for fatal violence.

But she ONLY knows what the Defense Team gave her to study. She has a skewed view of Travis. She does not have these other facts.

If that's true, then JM needs to put those things before her and ask her opinion on them. He can certainly bring that out in cross.

Also, notice she made no comment on the murder of TA.

I thought she might have something to say about it, but she did not say anything at all about it.
