I don't know about Melanie McGuire. I didn't follow that trial.

But, I've been saying repeatedly, why would you steal a gun to kill him with a knife?

I was all set to go with she used the gun first, no matter what the prosecutor says, and it jammed, until I heard ALV. Now, I'm totally set back and wondering if she had the gun with her because she was afraid of him. It would fit in with her not killing him immediately--that she never had any intention of killing him until things went wrong, one more time. ALV talks about the escalating level of apprehension and fear in the relationship. Scared people can become dangerous people.

ALV is a paid witness for the defense. She can only base her conclusions on what JA has told her. I do not believe anything that either one says. Go try and watch her Snow White video on YT. I couldn't watch much, but it's silly.

Also, all the new jodi and travis journals that Wilma questioned ALV about, she conveniently omitted the dates. Jodi also had time rewrite most of them.

Jodi, Dr Samuels and Alyce all have something in common. They do not like to be challenged. While the DT is questioning them, they are treated like the experts/victim they want us to believe they are. With JM, well, he challenges them. That is why they can not give a simple yes or no answer, because they want to explain away the negative of his question. IMO if you are sure of yourself and what you believe you do not feel the need to justify it.

Well, #5 would still be on the jury if they thought she was pro-defense.

Yes that is what she said the exchange was about but that she didn't want to discuss the pedophilia through text messages (this was to explain why her story can't be corroborated) but through more private means like phone calls.

wow. Are you serious? Do you think ALV EVER called one of her battered victims a liar? She took their word for it, every single time. I don't blame her if she is counseling them.

But this is a murder trial. And she has taken this killer at her word.

Just going by what I heard, and not knowing the size of the courtroom, how far away from the jury she would have been if she had been where Travis' family is seated. From what I did see, she seemed to be near an exit?

When JM is loudly talking (and sometimes in circles) that are definately not "yes or no" questions, the least he could do is come up with some NEW one liners other than "Do you have memory issues" "Do you have problems understanding the questions" And he continually interrupts....Sure the jurors see this also JMO

At the end of the day, while the rest of the courtroom observers left, the brunette and the blonde talked to the mitigation specialist while Nurmi talked to LaViolette.
Then they walked out of the courtroom arm and arm with LaViolette.
