Thank you to the mods for all their hard work. I read the article and the rules. People, like me, are upset with the job ALV has done on the stand, seems like she will not view things for both sides in the same way. Regardless of my opinion of her as an "expert" in the trial, I would never seek her out in her personal like, or business practice. I hope others stop doing it as well.

With all that said, can I say something about this reporter? I hope so. This is the same reporter who caused a huge stir with the Hughes emails, writing an article that caused grief to the victim's family. He's also the same reporter who has continually made disparaging remarks about the prosecutor. He seems to have inside information on motions that will be filed by the defense, in advance of them being filed. I do not respect him, nor do I like his reporting. I think he sensationalizes things in the defenses favor. JMO

Regardless of his reporting in favor of the defense, I will abide by the rules of the forum I come to everyday...WS! Thank you for giving us a place to respectfully post about the trial. This trial has gotten to me and at times I have had to step away. I can't fathom taking a slaughtered victim and trying to paint him as a pedophile and abuser without one ounce of evidence. It's heart wrenching to see the victim's family.

Praying for justice for Travis and the Alexander family.

This is just my opinion.

Well done!

AL would do herself an enormous favor by conceding that there are two sides to ANY story. This was a dysfunctional relationship at best, and we all know it took two to tango. But only one of the two ended up dead.

That being said, after looking through my previous posts, the worst I wrote about AL is that she is "naive" and "gullible" so I'm not too worried about it, even if I could figure out how to edit a post. (Newbie looking for some help here!)

Hey everybody!

Ok, so we know things aren't starting on time, but does anyone think we might get to jury questions today?

ALV would say "I was hired in this case to see if there was domestic violence, Mr. Martinez. Not to investigate the crime scene/autopsy photos of the perpetrator. Clearly, Miss Arias did this in self-defense. She did confess. And honestly? Mr. Alexander was asking for this when he made Arias feel like a used prostitute when he forced her to have sex hours before he was killed."

IMO it would have been perfect when she was talking about Jodi's finger. Could he ask what the stats are for domestic violence ending in homicide. Typically the abuser is the killer. Like 99%. Of the time. Then.... Slam down Travis photos. And ask her who was the abused one?

Valerie just instructed the media and spectator section that no food or cups of liquid are allowed in. My gatorade G2 is ok. #JodiArias

I understand having some water with you, like a water bottle (I have dehydration issues, kidney stones, etc so I have to keep water with me always)....but why on Earth do people bring food and start chowing down in there? So disrespectful to the judicial process and those involved in it.

Just wanted to comment on a post from the previous now closed thread.

The video of Travis shooting firearms with friends will not have any effect on the jury, IMO. Here in Arizona, we have some of the most un-restricted gun laws in the Nation. It's not uncommon to go out "plinking" with friends, "target shooting", no matter what caliber or type of weapon. This may seem "strange" to people in other States. If you've lived here a while, or are a Native, it's a non-issue. I'd wouldn't hesitate to say that it's part of the culture?

We plink in California too. When I was younger we would often go out to the desert, or wherever it was legal, and plink away at cans, targets etc.

Looks like peeps might be jumping in on the last page of a thread and missing the new mod request re: posting rules.

Should we help the mods out by flagging posts?

I dont understand why all the TH's keep saying that JM is going to 'turn off' some of the jurors by his 'style'.... Don't most people know that JM is doing his job and expect that? I don't ever recall a prosecuter being warm and fuzzy with witnesses? This was a brutal murder fgs. Its not a parking ticket. :banghead:

I think it shows his passion for justice for Travis. I cannot understand how others see anything wrong with it, I truly don't.

Got two gallons of Blue Bunny Chunky Chocolate Chip and I'm about to crack open the first container.

ALV will get questions from the jurors but by the time the jurors get to deliberations calm and reasonable heads will prevail and the question about JA and the gas cans, and the 1000 mile trip and grandpa's gun and more will all be back on the front burner and ALV will be but a memory for the jurors.

TA will be remembered as the victim no the defendant.

May it be so.

The autopsy and crime scene photos need to be on the top of the evidence stack in the Jury Deliberation Room.

sigh, still looking at the seal.

A big shout out to all of our lurkers . . . sign up and join in the conversation. We welcome your insight, experience, expertise, theories, and questions.

I hope we get to the juror questions as well, but if I recall correctly, both sides were given some hours to go through them first and then argue about which ones should be allowed or not. I don't look for much actual testimony or any real movement today.

With JA, each side got 45 minutes to review. It was much quicker with Dr. D.

 Wow! I must have been on another planet since the trial ended yesterday! I had no idea that ALV might not appear in court today to conclude her testimony. Maybe it makes me seem "old fashioned", but I don't visit social media sites and was not aware of any of the shenanigans that appear to be taking place. At times, ignorance is bliss.

This old guy lawyer sermonizing on the deficiencies in Juan Martines prosecutorial style is beyond getting old here on HLN.........

My feelings exactly... do these talking heads realize Juan is Travis's voice now since he can't speak for himself?

I've vented all my frustration and anger at the way Travis is being treated into knitting some gifts I plan to send to the sisters. I had to do something yesterday after seeing Sam crying like that. I can't imagine how horrendous it must be to see strangers talking about your loved one as if they knew him.

I agree! He has been on 48 hours himself with another case, has done many death penalty cases in the state so his style is probably very well known in the Phoenix area. I love it! :great:

With all this chaos of this trial I think it's a good idea to focus on the good things.

I am grateful that Lady Justice has given us the accidental photos of Travis being butchered. It's painful but will ensure that the person who did it will sit on death row.
I am grateful that we have Juan Martinez fighting for Justice. I don't think there is a better prosecutor out there.
I am grateful that thanks to the kindness and goodness of people (many of them from Websleuths) that Travis' loved ones are receiving support in many ways.
I am grateful that we are close to rebuttal.
I am grateful for Websleuths, all those who work hard to keep it running and all the members on here. It's much easier to deal with this trial with all of you around.

I know that I hope so, buuutttt can't make any assumptions with this trial as we already know.
