I believe that there are hundreds of people right here on this very website that could sit in that witness stand and act as a better expert witness than what I've been watching here.

For this 'expert' to sit there and use these generalizations to form her own opinion and BIAS towards this case amazes me and sickens me as I watch.

She claims that because JA had two previous long term relationships, and maintained friendships with those men, that she then saw no evidence that JA could have been violent in this relationship.

She is WRONG. Wrong, wrong, wrong.

Mental health is not a static state. People can accumulate experiences that change the way they react in certain situations.

This is well studied in the realm of PTSD.

There are many documented cases of serial killers having steady girlfriends and/or wives and going out and killing women.

A lifelong friend of mine met a 'Christian' man on a dating site, he became obsessed with her. She moved to another state and he got in his truck one night and drove all through the night to arrive at her home and shoot her to death and them kill himself.

I spoke with his ex-fiance on the phone and she said he had NEVER done anything like this in his life, that he was a kind and generous person.

Generalizations should be left to teaching a basic class on DV 101 and NOT for expert court testimony.

What I am certain 110% is that she spoke her way around every single Juror question so that her answers were completely predictable.

"Do you think it is POSSIBLE Jodi lied to you?"

answer: Possible? anything is possible, but it is not probable because I based my conclusion on where Pluto was that day in the line up of the stars, and the latest issue of Cosmo magazine the "Dear Editor" section, and I checked the lawn for leaves. If I had leaves? Jodi was honest, If I did not have leaves, she lied. I always had leaves...so she did not lie ***hand gesture in air, barn door maneuver, fingers in and out reflecting receptive to jury question** small shrug and onto the next question...

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

OH good-All the lawyers are online now!!!
Question for you all..Can Jodi appeal on ineffective counsel due to her lawyers not giving ALV all the materials to do a complete profile & her testimony reflected that? Can Jodi say..look my lawyers didn't give a witness all the materials to do a complete profile and if she did,the jury might have come back with a different verdict..

I hope you all know what I am trying to ask

Nope. Witness got what she needed to do the job she was hired for.

I have a question for the good folks here. Why do you think she went so psycho on this one man? She definitely exhibited stalker-like behavior with previous boyfriends, and crossed boundaries, but what drove her to slaughter Travis Alexander to the extent that she did? What was different about this relationship compared to her previous BF's? I can't quite wrap my mind around that question. Psychopath? Sociopath? Maybe so, but why did it manifest itself when it did?

Princess I wonder the same. 2 of my posts below are my lame attempt at trying to find a WHY, but we really will never know.

Travis' only mistake, except meeting her, was that he didn't tell her NO and stick to it. God forbid if he was so kind as to feed her, help her PPL wise, give her a place to sleep when she needed one and in his own way, love her. Travis was paid back with rage, bullets and stabs. ...No good deed goes unpunished. I hate her so much.

Travis was HER perfect storm. None of us is ever going to know exactly why JA was so obsessed but for starters... HE was successful, smart, handsome, religious and everybody liked him. SHE was not successful, thought she was smart, was pretty on the outside but so ugly on the inside and used religion for gain, as in gain Travis. God, Travis never saw her coming and when he actually did see the real her it was too damn late. She is Pure Evil.

She just couldn't give him a break and I felt this was just a real, little dig on her part, and totally unnecessary. Like he's a sleazy salesman on top of being an abuser and a pedophile.

I think Laviolette is defensively clinging to her position to the point of losing any semblance of reasonableness because she can't stand that professionally, she applied confirmation bias and that fact is being exposed.

I 100% agree. Calling hideous names, sending threatening or mean-spirited e-mails to her, trying to get those who have slated her for speaking engagements to cancel, and falsely reviewing her books is just nasty, immature and ugly behavior. Her loss of integrity shouldn't be an excuse for others to lose theirs as well. And listen, I felt sick, angry and disgusted about how she bashed an innocent, dead man, and how she acted like she was there, describing things she has no way of knowing happened. But come on, this behavior is not helpful.

I think she does too but i think she applied confirmation bias and simply ignored what didn't fit. She knows deep down that she's probably wrong but the more she's challenged the more entrenched in her position she'll become because it's her professional rep she's protecting now.

What she doesn't get is that her stubborn, unreasonable defensiveness has shattered her credibility.

Yes, the judge ended the day with juror questions but they are not over. There will be more questions tomorrow. Jodi Arias Trial - Day 45 - Part 2 (Juror Questions) - YouTube

Travis did not say "hot little girl". I agree that he probably said something about popping the cork of a little girl, though. For some men, the thought of a girl's first sexual experience is alluring - not because she's a child, but because the thought of the first orgasm ever, the first time feeling the power of a sexual experience, is exciting.

But you take any such man who thinks of a young girl having her first orgasm and place an actual kid in front of them, and the vast majority will be repelled at the thought of anything sexual involving such a child.

They are not actually fantasizing about a child. they are fantasizing about the power of the first sexual experience.

There is zero evidence that Travis was a pedophile. There is a lot of evidence that he liked sex with full grown women.

This is not true. There are many accounts of domestic violence occurring between teenage couples, for example, who do not live together.

But I see zero evidence of DV in this case. It's ridiculous.
She deceived him because he had no idea she was recording him. She had a plan for these recordings future use.

I like the question the jury asked about her grandparents and the gun theft.

Think the jurors are connecting the dots. I'm just worried that this trial will never end because the defence recrossing forever.
Ok attorneys??
Someone asked earlier if wilmot going to lunch with ALV and MIT specialist right or wrong.

She's old fashioned. Said so herself. She doesn't know the difference between texts, im's and emails.

I really think Juan should bring this style of sex up.. Roll play and S&M... Filthy dirty talking., ext ext.. Ropes, pop rocks and whatever else was involved. jodi herself said she liked that kind of sex.. Ad so do other women in this world, some like it lie that all the time, while others occasionally.. Does Alice really think this is DV?
Call her former lovers to the stand, cause they did it with her prior to Travis.. Ask them how they talked to her when sex was the subject, and most importantly, did they say please :banghead:

Is anyone tired of this trial as I am? This trial has had me consumed from day one, and frankly I do not believe that the killer should be ruling my life, very sad she has, watch the trial at work, watch hln at home.

Everyday that they go in chambers, I want a plea deal. LWP, that will put her where she belongs, but that will never happen, unfortunately.

The killer loves the limelight, tweeting from jail, no remorse whatsoever.

I HATE HER!!!!!!

At the beginning of tonight's Nancy Grace show, they were reading clips from Jodi's diary. The woman who read them aloud read one that really spooked me: "I fear for whoever is his next booty call".!!! Jodi probably decided in her own mind that he was sleeping with Mimi, and I do think she was on her way back to kill Mimi when she was arrested with the knives and gun in the car.

Lol she's not an expert on organisms. ....she said that. Not me.

As for the fact that Alyce thinks Travis was the liar, and Jodi only lied after the crime...hello? Jodi's lying started at least as far back as age 17 when she went behind Bobby J's back and read his emails. She became very practiced at that type of deceit, and had no qualms about crossing that threshold...that is criminal behavior and it would appear that such trespassing became part of who she was...ironic, considering she was so private and guarded about allowing her parents a peek into her life. She may have had alot more to hide that she is being "credited" with.

Hey hey...who was supposed to have the lip reader on tonight or last night...to tell us what Jodi was saying?

What did she say?...

http://www.clarkprosecutor.org/html/domviol/men.htm

Think about domestic violence and you think of women, battered by their husband, boyfriend, or a man they used to involved with. Now, think again. Every year in the U.S., about 3.2 million men are the victims of an assault by an intimate partner. Most assaults are of a relatively minor nature such as pushing, shoving, slapping or hitting, though many are more serious - and some end in homicide.

Alyce needs to get with the program in this country.

I also have a question, When did Jodi start selling her art work?

The defendant loves this, she tweets...does one of those tweets say I am sorry for what I have done

I am only tired of the DT and the killer.

I continue to follow/watch this trial in support of Travis, his family and the prosecutor. My attention is focused on Justice for Travis - not the killer. :twocents:

Yes, it was her own continuum ---that's what makes it so hard to believe that she wouldn't acknowledge what was right there on display.

Stop and think about this for a minute, the jury is made up of our 'peers'. This is a group of regular people just plucked from society and then screened by the attorneys.

Then stop and look at what people are writing on here. The people on here are writing, "How can she say he wasn't a victim of domestic violence?"

If WE can see it out here in the general public, then you know dang well those jurors can see it.

By the way, after listening to the benign questions from the jurors today, my general feeling is that they are getting tired and bored with ALV.

Unfortunately Ms LaViolette might be finding out now she got very little information from the Defense, putting her in an awkward situation. Furthermore I do think she seems utterly biased toward Jodi and / or an alleged abuse victim, and that may stem from decades of counseling them.
When she gives her opinions she seems very firm in them and she sounds genuine as if this is truly her belief.

Ok, putting that aside, if she really had to go to the E.R. for anxiety or anything related to the stress of testifying or media coverage or the negative press, then that is not good. She could be someones mom, sister, aunt. You would not want her to be physically ill over this. If anything at all were to happen to her (or her safety or her livelihood) everyone would feel seriously bad.

What I do want is her to take a deep breath, get back on the stand and I just want to hear honesty? I appreciate her decades of work but I just wish this wasn't the hill she chose to die on and defend. It's such an obvious case, insurmountable evidence and a not so likeable defendant.

I would just like her to say "yes" yes it is possible she is lying to me, of course it's possible. And just stay away from any comment about Travis, just don't go there. You did not meet him, you don't know him and can't know him from what you read in email. And today I was very upset to hear what almost sounded like an insinuation she concluded he was an abuser and a pervert after interviewing his friends...(going into how the Hughes worry about how he treated women)

stop it.. stick to Jodi, the killer, you interviewed. Think of how many killers come before her that she thinks are totally innocent? That's actually scary?
