While trying to undermine the witness' credentials and experience, JW is allowing the jury to see just how qualified this witness really is.

Dr D rocks... seriously... pouring water while answering: she's the queen of this tea party! :D

rI would love to just listen to a conversation between Dr DeMarte and Juan

And Dr Demarte and Ms LaViolette

In reality, I think they would get along and Ms LaViolette would like her a lot. I think Dr Demarte could inject some current info into ALV group meetings and thoughts..

Tonight JW is going to be googling all these abbreviations to try and trip Dr D up tomorrow, and of course actually preparing for cross. Let's hope it's not just a repeat of the evidence presented with Dr RS and ALV. At least Dr D will be able to hit all that out of the park.

I just got a weird notice that one of my posts wouldnt be visible til approved by moderator - but I think it was because I quoted something with a bad word it in.

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh: that happened to me when I tried ato talk french...:floorlaugh:

Jennifer L. Willmott, JD

Jennifer Willmott has spent her entire legal career defending people's
rights and freedoms. She received her undergraduate degree from the
University of Arizona in 1992. In 1995 she graduated from Arizona State
University School of Law. Immediately after graduating from law school,
Jennifer joined the Maricopa County Public Defender's Office.
As a trial
attorney, Jennifer defended thousands of cases. At the Public Defender's
Office, Jennifer had the opportunity to defend many different types of
cases ranging from misdemeanor DUI charges to homicides. Beginning
in 2001 Jennifer took on the added responsibility of supervising and
training trial attorneys.

She has successfully tried and won serious felony charges including
aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, sexual assault, kidnapping,
child molest, homicide, and auto theft.

Jennifer dedicates her entire practice to defending those charged with
crimes and DUIs. She practices in Maricopa County Superior Court and
all city courts, including Phoenix, Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa,
Buckeye, Tolleson, Glendale, Peoria, and Surprise.

In addition to her criminal defense practice, Jennifer has taught hundreds
of attorneys trial practice skills and how to be a competent and effective
criminal defense attorney. Many of the attorneys Jennifer has instructed
are now well respected criminal defense attorneys.

So Jennifer, you joined the PD office immediately after law school?

When did you pass the bar?

So you practiced law before you passed the bar?

Were you licensed? But you practiced law anyway?

hmmmm

This witness has a PHD, a license, a range of clinical experience including research, and speaks intelligently and with knowledge on the subjects she's asked - and a three month period while preparing for her doctorate and studying for her licensing exam - and this iis all JW is wasting the jury's time with? Really?
JDM can feel compassion, but not act on it - hence she is able to evaluate.

This is painful to watch. When JW looks up maybe she will see the buzzards circling....

Granpa's rule: When you are in a hole, stop digging.

JW has entered into a battle of wits with Dr. DeMarte and she is clearly unarmed.
