I have several important errands to do. I should be grateful to the judge for giving me a longer lunch break. But for some reason I am still annoyed. :giggle: Guess I am addicted to Juan.

katydid23 i just want to say i hung on your every word during mickey's case and im glad you participate in this one also

I know court will not be on time today...but what time are they scheduled to start? TIA! (trying to plan my day lol)

I believe that Juan is getting a sense from the jury that they are getting tired...that's why he's going fast in his rebuttal...he always goes MUCH faster than the defense, but I feel like he could have taken a lot more time with the witnesses yesterday if he had wanted to. But he knows that the longer he takes, the longer the defense will take on their cross of them b/c then they will go back and hash out EVERYTHING they talked about with Juan. It was the same with Demarte, he went a lot faster and shorter than he could have. So I haven't heard a lot about people in the courtroom discussing this about the jury, but I feel like Juan and Flores have gotten this sense from being in the courtroom and watching them.

Martinez pays attention to that jury and knows what is important unlike the Defense who spends their time watching HLN for tips on how to plot their Defense which is sad. Juan is on it and the jury will know who is on their side. Lets hope the jury gets that.

Watching a recap of Jodi saying that Deanna was emotionally unstable. I can't help but think she showed what she is really like. Projecting her qualities on others. "So and so is a liar", "So and so is abusive". There is another word for this, I'm sure. Just can't think of what it is.

Sadistic, borderline, chameleon, lost...take your pick. MOO

Projection is just fine. It's a psychological term describing exactly what you've said. :)

One of the fine WS sleuthers (and no, it wasn't me) sat next to Detective McDreamy one afternoon in the Cooper trial and leaned over and told him, "I heard you smell great and you do!" Another sleuther had sniffed him out the day before. :floorlaugh:

]Stopping the pump 3 times so that one has to pay individually each time for gas seems so dumb to me. I mean she would have gotten caught anyway unless she only paid cash, but wouldn't the normal thing to do is line up the gas cans, take the lids off, take the gas cap off on your car, and then start filling each up, switching to the next container, thus paying with only 1 swipe of a card? She was/is dumb on many things.[/B]

ETA: Also, the fact that she borrowed 2 gas cans alone establishes that she did not want to have to stop for gas in AZ. The 3rd gas can was just icing on the proverbial cake and shows another lying data point, but even without that 3rd gas can, she was already shown to be hiding evidence of her visit to Mesa.

This is Jodi remember? She does everything weird. Jodi thought she was so smart and she outsmarted herself.

Idioms
2.
outsmart oneself, to defeat oneself unintentionally by overly elaborate intrigue, scheming.

That is probably because Mr. Nurmi is screaming that the jury is watching HLN and he doesn't want them to know he thinks they are dishonest and not following the judges instructions.

If I had to sit in that courtroom day after day, through sidebars and delays and DT "experts" droning on and on and ON, the LAST thing I'd want to turn on when I got home would be HLN! I mean, I love me some Nancy Grace, but I'd be flipping to some reruns of Everybody Loves Raymond or something! :twocents:

Did you see yesterday where DeAnna was talking about Travis' father...Jodi sneaked a look at his family at that moment...she saw them crying...and THEN she started fake-crying. It was so disgusting.

Jodi is so repulsive....and disgusting.....

On the jodi innocent site they are sayingg Tanisha is banned from the in chambers hearings due to instigating some kind of petition against Alyce. Has anyone heard of this elsewhere?

i call BS on that considering where it was said

o/t i am loving the new smilies at the side :stormingmad:

Does anyone else think she may have used part of that extra gasoline out of the gas cans to burn up and get rid of all the evidence, like the weapons, clothes, and gas cans themselves? Does anyone know if any of the gas cans were accounted for?

I also keep hearing that there is concern as to why she brought the gun to a 'knife fight'. My theory on that is she wanted two weapons involved, so the authorities would think there was two people involved in the murder. there is no other reason she would use both the knife and the gun......UNLESS she did use the gun first, and then it jammed, so she had to finish him off with the knife.

Thoughts?
She didn't bring a gun to a knife fight.
There was no fight.
It was an ambush.
It was preplanned murder.
The gun was to give her the upper advantage.

imo

Right , because she has nothing better to do, give me a break

Nic2200 brought up the topic:
wasn't me said:
I know what a void is, and I also know that some cashiers have done voids for shortly AFTER I paid for something and they have given me the money back. I gave them the item back. The transaction was voided, according to them. For every merchant in the entire world, it's very difficult to say how EVERY SINGLE store does something. I believe I've said enough times here where my history with this comes from, and that I do not believe she ever even took the gas can back. All I was doing was coming up with alternatives, just like the "Dummy Sku" person did.
I worked at Kohl's over Christmas and I worked the registers. Returns were done at Customer Service, but we could do even exchanges and voids at the registers. Both kinds of transactions generated computer receipts. And if an item didn't have an SKU number (pronounced skew), a manager would find me one to manually enter when ringing someone up. The customer would get a copy of the even exchange and so would the store. For a voided transaction, we had to sign the void slip, and give a reason, and so did the manager.

Oh my. Why do I do this to myself? Thinking myself to have 'gotten over' the KC verdict I watched the KC jurors interview. I'm seriously going to throw up! Didn't look at any evidence! Ignorant, ignorant, ignorant.

I'm not doing anything silly like looking at any KC stuff anymore. *shivers* It's not my fault anyway. It's the pretty Judge's fault. One minute we're having an open hearing and the next minute it's closed! ;)
