IMO the trouble with the argument about bat sounds versus shots sounds is the State's witness Stipp did confuse both sounds so there is a already a reliable witness showing they can be confused. And Stipp had military and firearms training. JMHO

The people involved talked about digitally enhancing the sounds of the bat. That is dishonest. That is the lengths they would have gone.
M'Lady points out that they didn't do that though. She asks what about the fact that the tests were done outdoors.

Why not play a recording to the witnesses. The only inference that can be drawn is that it would not advance their case.

Nel deals with accused's plea explanation...of utmost importance is sentence describing noise coming from toilet, discharged gun.

Nel: I discharged firearm because I believe intruders were coming out of the toilet...'before I knew it I fired four shots'.
