One thing I don't understand is why the judge hasn't intervened when OP has pointed out that Nel is "misleading the court" or "you can't ask me that because it's hypothetical". It's up to the judge to say things like that and not OP. Even the times when he appears to be tailoring his testimony to suit the evidence is going unchecked.

the guns and ammo charges are a certainty... we can put those in the guilty bin already.

haha.. being tired is no excuse.. Oscar has been using that one all thru the trial.

Haha, touché! :D

I was responding to another poster, re Roux and Oscars definitive statement, that a demonstration of Oscars capacity to scream exactly like Reeva in terror and also, exactly like himself and Reeva at the same time mingled with gunshots in rebuttal of witnesses who testified to this .

Its been tabled as evidence, and as such, must be produced , by Roux and Oscar...

Yes, I realized it moments later  I don't know how I mistook your post for being a reply to one of mine... Lucky for you I don't own a gun! :D

that's what is so appealing about a judge only trial. She is 'above the dust' as the saying goes.. while the contest goes on in the arena, she herself is elevated to a position beyond the gritty ,sweaty contest..

Roux got exactly the same 'leeway'... States witnesses had her protection and her warnings, Oscar gets the same, protection and warnings. .. she is , and I mean she in the context of any judge with her/his Assessors presides in this position.

Imo, for the same reason he called Stander in the first place, to conceal the crime.

Was Dr Stippe called to the scene by Stander or did he just turn up? A samaritan could have thrown a spanner in the works I suppose.

He just turned up. And then OP was dissatisfied because Dr. Stipp didn't seem to know what he was doing. (Since he obviously wasn't trying to come up with ways to hide the evidence...)

the good Dr Stipp , after consultation with his anxious wife, the good Mrs Stipp, decided on his own bat to walk right into the belly of the beast , right to the gunfire and the screaming. He instantly thought it was a family homicide, that children were involved. He believed he could render assistance due to his profession.

and for sure, he put a spanner in the spokes of Oscars free wheeling activities..

I infer this, because Oscar has now decided that the good Dr Stipp, a medical graduate, a 6 year post graduate in Medicine in London , a 3 year Specialist in Radiology , a 15 year practice as a radiologist in a hospital environment didn't know what he was doing according to Oscar, who by his own admission was a flunker at school.

Dr. Stipp just showed up as a Good Samaratin.

Another Oscar article that gives info about billboards with his picture all being removed the day after Reeva's death:

"A couple of years ago, two journalist friends of mine spent an afternoon with Oscar Pistorius. For much of the time, they recall, Oscar was quiet and self-contained. Then, apropos of nothing, he told a story.

He was driving on the outskirts of a black township, he said, when a dog ran under his wheels. In his rear-view mirror, he watched as it dragged itself off the road by its front legs, its hind legs useless to it now. Its back was clearly broken. He stopped and got out of his car to find the dog's owner had come out on to the street, shouting, cursing. What to do? Oscar grabbed his gun, shot the dog and drove off.

On Valentine's Day 2013, when the world learned that Oscar had shot Reeva Steenkamp dead through a closed bathroom door, this story no longer sounded the same....."

So Dr Stippe could indeed have completely ruined a plan to dispose of Reeva's body.

I'm guessing the rope and bin bag stuff was going on while Dr Stippe was there because if it wasn't then it just gets too bizarre.

Re disposing of body (bags, rope...), I can't understand OP's 911/netcare call. Maybe just completely panicked w/no plan.

MOO

it wasn't... when Stipp arrived, she had this plastic bag stuff, tea towels from the kitchen, and a couple of bigger towels from upstairs jumbled around and over her, the rope..( all this stuff gathered by Oscar and the Standar daughter , Clarice.... )

To add to the grotesque.. Oscar was kneeling over Reeva, with his hand on her groin, and his other hand down her throat with his fingers clenched in Reevas teeth.. Stipp had to remove Oscars fingers..

...

I knew I should have watched from the beginning now.

How bizarre that those things were being collected by the Standers and the good samaritan then turns up. Regarding rope for a tourniquet too, loads of other things to use would have been far more sensible (tops, bra, stockings, tablecloth, ripped tea towel etc) and all of those would have entered my mind before a piece of rope.

I have been very puzzled why Oscar just threw that comment about Dr Stipp into his testimony.. it came out of the blue, and seemed to have no possible rhyme or reason for it.. an unguarded moment?? a long held conviction? a figure of speech?? cranky with Dr Stipp for testifying re womanly screaming?? a slur on radiologists in general? offended because Dr Stipp was an uninvited 'guest'? an attempt to place the blame on Dr Stipp for Reevas death due to medical malpractice??

I just don't know.

And if you are wrong...

Well, you tell me...

OT:

Another thing crossed my mind today: when challenged on how was it possible that he had not seen Reeva as she got up and went to the bathroom and also that she wasn't in the bed (while he was getting his gun under the bed) - he kept defending himself that it wasn't strange... He should have said it was strange he didn't see her, and not that it is not strange at all...

Any reasonable person, who wasn't there busy defending his elaborate lie, would outright agree it was strange...

This is getting too easy :D

I just don't know.

I saw it as blame shifting as after all, he isn't to blame for her death so it must have been somebody else to blame.

"THE Oscar Pistorius murder investigation has kicked into high gear as police detectives home in on a possible motive for the Valentine's Day killing of his model girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp."

"One of the issues that will receive close attention is the altercation between Pistorius and former soccer player Marc Batchelor late last year, after Pistorius had allegedly threatened businessman Quinton van der Burgh.

Batchelor has already given the state a statement about the altercation, including that the athlete threatened to "break his legs". The police are said to be interested in this, because it could bolster their case that Pistorius was inclined towards violent behaviour.

Two other people, well known on the social scene, this week claimed that Pistorius was involved in the use of recreational drugs.

A former TV star, whose name is known to the Sunday Times, is understood to be ready to spill the beans about Pistorius's alleged "dark side"."

Generally discrediting him? Does not like Dr. Stipp's description of OP's hand in Reeva's mouth? Is OP going to deny the trip upstairs that Dr. Stipp saw (the pre-ID trip)?

BIB, I can't take that seriously as it could have crucial to the state's case if he was taking drugs.
