It may be annoying, and no clue if the jury feels this way; but it’s certainly an attempt to highlight parts of the (lack of? as he would allege) investigation to the jury. Witness admits the importance of body worn or vehicle camera that can help adequately record an objective view of what is being seen/heard, also admits in the biggest case of his career while his department has those cameras, he did not have one for the exhumation or autopsy viewing.Prior is going to repeat over and over again about things this detective did not do before he decided to dig Tammy Daybell up. Already heard it about 6 times at least.
Prior also got the witness to admit he didn’t read death certificate or coroner report, and got the witness to read the details of Chad’s statements being sick the night before but that he chose to not mention that in obtaining a search warrant with the Judge.
If defense is trying to weave into some lack of investigations and/or not following of departmental established procedures and protocols, then this witness is certainly helping him do that IMOO. If the jury finds it repetitive and annoying, obviously we don’t know. Unless there’s some journalists reporting on any of their reactions, if they can be noted; I’m not sure as I haven’t looked for that yet. JMOO.
