I don't feel sorry for his Mother. She must have known he was offside, and at the very least, she must have supported his drug use.

I will always love my children no matter what they do but I've always told them they are responsible for their actions and if they get in legal trouble I will not bail them nor will I pay a lawyer for them. If they do go to prison I will visit and write letters to them but that's it...

One of my boys learned this lesson when he got his 2nd DUI. His 10 days in the clink cured him. He told me how horrible his time was and said he never ever want that again.

Maybe visiting a prison should be a required excursion while in high school. I realize this may not stop all teenagers from trouble but it might direct some to the right side of the tracks..

Yes, definitely a weird choice for his own car but who knows????

Archery symbol?? Way back when Taylor was first on my radar, I found a few links for Tyler winning some archery competitions when he was 13. They were PDFs I think. I'm not home and I'm not sure if I kept the links but the info is out there. I found it interesting since Alanna had just come back from doing archery very recently before she was murdered and that just happened to be a young expert in it.

His name appears on Page 8. This one is from 2012. It may be other places as well. Jesuit is, obviously, a private Catholic school in Dallas. It's a long way from Saginaw, (which is really a suburb of Ft. Worth) It's 36 miles, 45 minutes, (much more in traffic!) but people who live in DFW are more accustomed to long commutes.

BBM: His mother was TH's friend on FB, until sometime AFTER he was shown on TV (July 5th?) when LE took the brown evidence bag from his house, which we later found out was his DNA, and samples of hair from his 4 dogs (or NOTHING, if you go by his reply).

She disappeared from being his friend after that.

Just 'sayin.

Just asking...but when did her FB page disappear? I may be wrong but I thought her page was deactivated at some point....

Not to mention, HE could have un-friended HER...

I can`t see the Gallaghers staying in that neighborhood for long . Imagine having to pass that house, where their baby was likely killed, every day.

Same age. The archery sticker in his car is pretty coincidental. I'm very sure it's him but not 100% of course.

That is interesting as it sounds like quite a big competition. So he had success in his life. I think that would be a pretty big deal and his mother encouraged him in it, probably.

I am astounded that she would be a FB friend and she would not be having a meltdown. But if she was a druggie earlier in life, maybe she thought he would straighten out as well?

The amount of drug usage would scare me to death.

After every name are three letters which I assume stand for the school or team they belong to. It's possible considering it appears to be a large competition. No idea if it were the same TH or not.

At some point on his fb he posts 'BLOCK' and I just guessed he was blocking her. I posted when she deleted her account but I don't remember what day it was.

I don't think it is the same Tyler Holder. he's listed as being from south Texas and...(and oddly enough when I looked for them on FB some event came up to which one of MY FB friends was going).

https://twitter.com/STXRoyalRangers

Did a little more digging and it's definitely a different Tyler Holder.

it was the of or after the arrest warrant was served (attempted to be served?)

Friendly reminder: We don't want this thread closed down so tread carefully everyone--please.

I think we will get more answers this week. Let's not forget TOS here.

:group hug: Justice for Alanna...Peace for her family...

So if Tyler has an attorney, I assume they read him his rights and he must have written that he wants an attorney? Guess he got his box of crayons.
Don't think he will be answering any questions, without his attorney present. Doubt if they are going to get anything. Unless he had a helper and he tells them they were the killer.

I get where you are coming from and don't completely disagree, except for a few things:

1. so far, it appears he hadn't been in school since 2010. About age 14? Surely she knew this, and it appears not much had been done about for the last three years.

2. she was on FB, he was on FB.....she never saw his page?

3. this is assuming (yes, I know) that it was her gun used against Officer Lodatto (but that would explain the attorney which apparently isn't for him)....she had gun(s) that she did not keep secured

4. from what we've seen of the family history (granted, I'm as skeptical about estranged family interviews as I am one or two neighbors saying something negative that everyone runs with), I can only imagine what we don't know......unlike Gallaghers, I don't see anyone coming to the defense though, either......as someone else (sorry?) pointed out, there doesn't seem to be much info at all - a home environment where secrecy is the rule? Why?

So, I don't think we can assume that she didn't know she had a troubled child. Not rock solid proof, but more to favor that she was aware than that she was innocently without a clue.

And I agree: lots of teens struggle and eventually find their way. I'm willing to bet a lot of those who do also had family or someone else consistent and important to them who invested in them turning it around.

Some of the teens my son grew up with on my block are being raised by single mothers. Its been rough for all of those boys. One, that I'm very close with is a nurse at a hospital and works long hours and as many shifts as she can get. She loves her son and was around more often when her son was little and her ex actually sent the child support. He doesn't so she must work. Her son has gotten into some trouble lately. IMO puberty & after can be a difficult time for teen boys with no dad around. No reason to believe she would have assigned more to it than that.

Oh please... The whack job enjoys people's reactions, and would rather die than face consequences...
Does anyone honestly believe for a second ...any truth would be found from anything he would be willing to provide?

I don't.

Unfortunately,I agree!

Oh, yeah. I bet you're right. Jesuit is simply where the competition was held.

Off-topic but I am raising my little ones with no father. I hope we make it through puberty/adolescence unscathed. :(

I think it really helps to know your not done when they hit 13! I know way too many people that simply and blindly trust their kids. At that age as if magically they're now perfectly capable of caring for themselves!

My son has a great dad, I'm a stay at home mom.., 12-13 was a little rough! that testosterone is like poison to their little boy brains ... Everything you taught them goes right out the window! Its like invasion of the body snatchers! Terrible twos all over. It's not just mine. I have a friend that raised 6 of em!!! I called her often! She would remind me... He's like a two year old all over, be consistent.. This too will pass. It did! Thankfully! I think many parents get tired or give up. You can't!
Now he's terrific again :) it was worth it'

It's here http://www.myfoxdfw.com/story/22909842/police-enter-saginaw-home-in-murdered-girls-neighborhood-shots-fired

Note it's not the video that loads on that page, use the slider to go to number 4, video titled 'Officer, murder suspect shot' He is loaded into the ambulance around the 1:45 mark, it's real quick you might need to rewind and watch that bit several times.

it was the of or after the arrest warrant was served (attempted to be served?)

RE: the FB acct.

It was after. I was looking at her FB page after the news came on about the shooting. I would say it was early afternoon (2-4) when it went *poof*
I remember thinking ... So your son has been shot, is in critical condition and your on Facebook?? I wonder what was on her Facebook page that she would want to deactivate her account?
All I could see was a few pictures of her, some guns (not her with the guns), a pic of TH taken on a cruise liner to the Carribbean somewhere and a photo that looked like it was taken on a hunting trip. My husband is a hunter so I'm going by experiance there on that one photo.

LE and FBI will be able to access all her fb information. You cannot delete anything from fb ever. It's all backed up and stored. So whatever incriminating evidence on there they can retrieve. Maybe she just wanted privacy.
