How could so many women in one facility pass away without the directors start questioning what was going on? For example, the three friends that passed away in three months, sounds unlikely unless they were all in ill health.

Sounds to me like someone on the inside had to be in on it too. How did the killer know which rooms to go to? How were these women selected? There had to be a reason.

Were the richest women selected who had the most jelwelry to be stolen? Or valuable jewelry where some could be stolen and some left?

There is much more to this story I guarantee you!

"U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement issued a statement about the status of Billy Chemirmir, 45, a capital murder suspect accused of smothering more than a dozen elderly women in North Texas senior living homes.

On March 23, 2019, ICE deportation officers filed an immigration detainer with the Dallas County jail on Chemirmir, a citizen of Kenya and a permanent resident of the United States, after he was charged with capital murder...."

Accused Illegal Serial Killer Given Green Card After Overstaying Visa

28 May 2019

"An accused illegal alien serial killer who has been charged with murdering 12 elderly women overstayed his visa, was never deported, and was able to obtain a green card....

A law enforcement source confirmed to Breitbart News that Chemirmir first arrived in the U.S. on a B-2 visa — commonly known as a tourist visa — in July 2003. Though Chemirmir was supposed to only temporarily be in the U.S., he overstayed his visa and became an illegal alien who was eligible for deportation.

Rather than being deported, however the illegal alien was able to use a loophole in the country’s legal immigration system that allowed him to obtain a green card after marrying a U.S. citizen.

In November 2007, Chemirmir was approved for a green card allowing him to permanently resettle in the country..."

Three more capital murder charges filed against Billy Chemirmir, bringing total indictments to 17

A Dallas County grand jury on Tuesday handed down three new capital murder indictments against Billy Chemirmir, the man accused of smothering elderly residents of North Texas senior living facilities and stealing their jewelry, cash and other precious items to sell at Dallas-area pawn shops.

Chemirmir has now been charged with 17 counts of capital murder and two counts of attempted capital murder in Dallas and Collin counties. He has also been linked through medical examiner reports and civil case filings in seven other deaths, bringing the total to 24 deaths in North Texas.

The new charges against Chemirmir, who turned 48 on Tuesday, are in the deaths of Joyce Abramowitz, Doris Wasserman and Margaret White. All three were killed at The Tradition-Prestonwood, a luxury senior living complex in Dallas, and all had been previously identified as possible victims through civil lawsuits against the complex.

You're a hundred percent right about that.

The alleged perp's status as an undocumented worker is mostly irrelevant, IMO. It seems to have been the senior living complex, and not MSM with an agenda, that had a stake in keeping this on the down low. It's appalling how indifferent the complex's management has been, even in the face of concerns and questions from the families. All MOO, as always.

'Security Defects' Allowed Serial Killer to Get Into Dallas Senior Home, Victims' Daughters Allege in Lawsuit

The daughters of three elderly victims of an alleged serial murderer are suing the Dallas senior living facility where their horrific killings took place. Diana Tannery, MJ Jennings and Sherill Kerr became suspicious when they noticed valuables were missing after their elderly mothers, who lived on the same floor, died within months of each other.

The death certificates of their mothers, Juanita, Leah and Glenna, initially said that they had died of “natural causes” at their home, Tradition-Prestonwood living facility.

But then, a 93-year-old woman was nearly suffocated to death at another facility in Dallas by an intruder who forced his way into her room and stole her jewelry. The suspect in the attack was identified as 48-year-old Billy Chemirmir. Police say he posed as a maintenance worker to sneak into several senior living facilities in the Dallas area.

Chemirmir has since been charged with killing 18 seniors since 2016, including the mothers of Tannery, Jennings and Kerr. They are all believed to have been killed by being smothered with a pillow.

The women’s lawyer, Trey Crawford, says Tradition-Prestonwood living facility had “massive security defects” and failed to install enough security cameras, which allowed a “trespasser...regular and unfettered access.”

"Just losing your mom naturally, just to go through that grieving process, then to find out that they're murdered. And then you start thinking about her last moment on this world and the last thing she looked at, that's really tough," Tannery told Inside Edition.

The senior living facility calls what happened a true tragedy. They deny any wrongdoing and say they cooperated with police and relied on investigative agencies who initially determined the deaths were the result of natural causes.

The victims’ families have founded a non-profit called “Secure Our Seniors' Safety” to ensure that residents of senior living facilities are safe from criminal activity.

The three bills have been introduced by the Texas Legislature and are aimed at holding senior living homes transparent and accountable for crimes at their facilities.

A press conference is scheduled at 3 p.m. Wednesday where the group, Secure Our Senior’s Safety, will talk about the proposed bills. It will be streamed in this article.

This is in response to a string of killings that occurred from 2016 to 2018 at senior living homes in Dallas and Collin counties. Two of which include Preston Place Retirement Community and The Tradition Senior Living.

According to police, Chemirmir allegedly smothered his victims with a pillow and then stole their jewelry. He's accused of killing at least 18 elderly women.

"Sociopaths exist in this world. We count on people who run these facilities to protect [residents] and they failed,” said Paul Abramowitz, the son of one of the victims.
.......
The families of those victims are now advocating for new laws and plan to introduce the proposals Wednesday. The group Secure Our Senior's Safety said the bills introduced would create a voluntary certification program and budget-neutral law. The bills include requiring facilities to report all crimes on their property and perform enhanced background checks on employees.

"Those choosing to be state-certified as accountable, transparent, and increase their security measures will go a long way to prevent a repeat of these crimes," the group said in a news release. Another bill would force Cash for Gold stores to keep records of who they do business with.

Former Dallas Cowboy Cliff Harris, whose mother-in-law is one of the Chemirmir's victims spoke with WFAA Tuesday about the bill proposal. "If we had known there had been murders and deaths that were unaccountable we would've been more cautious and taken more care. This was a preventable accident,” he said.

Sorry and no offense meant towards the facilities where the elderly were killed ... but how the heck did he possibly murder a thousand ?
Were there no cameras at the retirement facility ?
There should be sec. cams.
And no one became suspicious after, say, the first 25 ???

AFAIK, there are no cameras in the individual rooms, as that is where personal activities take place. (Dressing, changing, etc.) I'm not sure what level of care these ladies needed.

My Grandmother recently passed away at a nursing home. She had begun requiring more care than her children could give, and they reluctantly put her in one that had good reviews.

She had hearing aids, and my Dad had an app that would allow him to see if they'd been put in for the day. Half the time the staff didn't even bother putting them in. It was terrible! And several times they put her hearing aids in someone else's ears and vice versa!

I wish I could say that I'm shocked by this case, and I was at first. But after being exposed to nursing homes just a little bit, I'm not so shocked this happened. It saddens me very much for these ladies and all who loved them.

Lastly, I'm sure that there are many excellent staff at nursing homes across the nation, hard-working, diligent, skilled, and conscientious. This guy though, very sick and twisted.

Trial Started Today. I can't fathom how his attorney will possibly defend him. There is SO much evidence.
