It seems like he is standing there contemplating. You can see him ball his hands up in one part. He is internally struggling with doing something he understands is wrong versus giving in to his compulsion to hurt these babies. His return almost didnt seem like he was coming to take him. It almost seemed like he was waking him! He jiggles his back, like you do to wake someone, then talked to him. The poor baby looking for his brother. He knew something was wrong. Poor sweet baby....

I do not get the feeling this is a set up. I do not get the feeling anyone else had anything to do with this. I think this dude has been at this home many times and has probably seen these kids. Twins often attract attention because they are cute! I worked deep in the trenches of mental health for 16 years. I can be wrong, but this seems like mental health unchecked meets excusing and enabling behavior meets impulse control meets sexual desire and violence. I am super disturbed by the video. I am not ready to point at anyone other than the one they have arrested for this crime. All the other shady stuff.... thats fair game, as time passes and details emerge.

It’s been reported that DB was NOT wearing an ankle monitor at the time of the crime as was reported in the beginning. He will be required to have one if he bonds out. I’ll try to find that correction.

As for the way he carries him, your not gonna get very far carrying a child like that IMO. Asleep a child is dead weight there’s no way he could’ve carried him to the nature park or even 8 blocks like that.

I don’t know what’s going on in this case and have no conclusive opinions but in the video he holds that child out in front of him like he is handing him off to someone else. jmo

I would have to say that it is very individual. Some four year olds are deep sleepers, some are light sleepers. It also depends on what time did they go to sleep, did they eat a lot before bed, did they sleep well through the night, did they wake up to use the bathroom, did they have any nightmares and so on.

Cash was the one who was asleep until he was taken. To me, he looks still half-asleep. That's a strange posture he was in, almost vertical; I think he didn't even have the wherewithal to react at that point.

I agree that Carter most likely went to urinate, but when he comes back he just stares at their shared bed. If he went to the bathroom then he knows that Cash isn't in the bathroom, or in the bed, or visible in the room, so he is puzzled as to where Cash might be.

That part is just unspeakable. It almost replicates what DB did....just standing near the bed, staring. DB trying to figure out how best to grab a boy, Carter trying to figure out why Cash isn't where he's supposed to be.

As to the video getting to the media---well, there is only one suspect announced right now, so we can't say anything except about DB. But if that video is family property, and someone sold it to the media, that is very, very unkosher.

Yeah.. I am hopeful it helps prosecution, but I did know what you meant that it could harm it.
Hopefully it helps but you never know in the legal system.

The only drop of relief here, IMO, is that Carter was reunited with his mother and grandmother. They must have been deemed responsible caregivers or he would have been placed in foster care. This gives me hope that with love and care and therapy, he will emotionally survive this somehow and can still have a successful future.

These boys already had a tough four years. I have many suspicions that richochet all around, and I'm prepared to be very wrong, but as of now I am not blaming the father's girlfriend. Obviously the living conditions weren't ideal, but she probably could have had them removed by the state when the father left. Maybe she did care about them and was doing her best to give them a home, even though there were a lot of kids and apparently not much money. From the outside it does seem that caution and supervision were lacking, as far as who was allowed to enter the home. Usually, though, a video camera in children's bedrooms is used as a safety device to check on their well-being. On the other hand, all of the minor children were removed from the home, so either the police have a reason, or it's just out of an abundance of caution until more is known.

A lot of pieces don't add up, I definitely agree. But as of now the culprit is DB. The evidence will come out and nothing will shock me if there are more people involved. But we don't know yet.

It doesn't make sense---except this just might be that rare case where the perp really is insane. He doesn't seem to be all there.

My younger brother, may he RIP, was a paranoid schizophrenic. It came on when he was only about 19 or 20...and for awhile I was convinced he was taking LSD everyday....but he was delusional, hearing voices, talking to his imaginary friends and enemies, who had control of his mind.

I do wonder if this perp might be in a similar state. Otherwise, his actions make no sense. JMO

I finally found the street for DB - Bayberry Lane. See Moe's post#8, this thread on page#4 regarding DB's arrest in April 2021:

The current DM article says DB lived .5 mile from the crime scene:

I was just checking back to see if you all had found this. Sorry! Busy work week. Yes the suspect’s full Bayberry address was listed in the linked public documents. (Lovely looking home and neighborhood in my opinion. I never lived in the suburbs but this seems better than much of US low income neighborhoods to me.)
But you can see that the address is close to where the body was found.

I also want to note that the house where Cash was staying was not at all in viewable distance to where the body was found. 8 blocks away or so. So it’s not quite the impression of proximity some may have been left with after reading early witness statements in msm. JMO.
